- What IS this beautiful place on the coast of the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia? This is KAUST, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, a place I am proud to call one of my homes. A place I spent 4 years of my life, which gave me amazing cultural and professional opportunities as well as the chance to meet and work with brilliant minds from all over the world. This video is for anyone who is wondering what it’s like to work and live in Saudi Arabia, or for anyone who’s considering studying or working at KAUST. Thank you for this informative video, KAUST looks absolutely an amazing place to live and work in, as a Saudi I’m really pleased that this respected university is getting more and more recognition and it deserves, of course you are aware and hopefully your viewers are aware too that KAUST is pretty advanced institution, so the experience in such place won't be necessarily the same in another workplace either in Saudi or any other country, Saudi is growing rapidly and it aims to attract talents to contribute in this process and I really find your videos are useful in this regard

Thank u for sharing this kind of beautiful video . I have some questions . 1. Should I study only masters or 4-5 years MS /PhD joint program? 2. Are All the campuses provided with air conditioning? I have some diseases that cant stand on air conditioning and cool air . Pls answer it can have a great impact on my future
You can always choose to do only MS/only PhD or both. All buildings are airconditioned but you can always adjust the temperature to a higher one in your apartment.

Are there homeless people in SA, like the situation here in the UK or the USA?
Generally speaking, there are no homeless people in Saudi Arabia because Saudi takes care of its citizens. Also the family structure is very strong, with most people living in extended family homes. The sense of humanity is very strong in Saudi Arabia and people don’t leave the needy alone without help.
Can KAUST gives fully funded scholarship for foreigners?
Yes, all students receive the stipend no matter where they’re from. Good luck! 👍

To be honest I am not really sure about the ins and outs of applying as a student, since I worked with staff at KAUST. Have you tried applying through the official channels? Do you know anyone who knows any professors there or could you try and establish a connection with a professor at KAUST working in your field? Good luck!

If you study at a government university then education is free or very cheap, even for foreigners. If you study at a private university then there are relatively high fees to pay.
Best unis there are for free (for citizens idk about international students) also they don’t have “student loans” they get monthly payment my saudi friend gets $263 a month to buy uni supplies

How is sex life in Saudi?
Sex is a personal matter that belongs strictly to the private domain. No one ever talks about it, so I don’t know about sex life here.
Take it not so queer friendly lol
Saudi is a very private society, they respect the private space and don’t pry into people’s personal lives. As long as you don’t make your preferences public and try to spread them, then you’re fine.
We don’t care what you do behind closed doors , we just ask not to take it to public areas . We have traditions and religious values and we respect them
Believe me they don’t care i had a lesbian friend and she was wearing hoodies with the word “gay” on them also a pride bracelet and she had a lot of friends in school even tho most of them don’t support LGTBQ+ but they didn’t really care 🤷🏼♀️
The govt said that queer ppl are welcome or smth like that so you’re not gonna face any problems if you’re a tourist
