Mr. Monsanto (Trailer) Dance Solo with Juan Tirado

What happened to the " Vagabonds " of German Romanticism in the age of genetically modified food and the use of agrochemicals? How is it that 200 years ago man turns to nature in a fascinating way and feels part of it, and then after all these years can create a destructive power over nature?
The Spanish dancer Juan Tirado embodies / a character of one side the visionary "food, health, hope" and on the other side the man who fills himself with power "genetically manipulated, patented, cashed off " /or / a character who, driven by the vision to understand nature and make it more productive "food, health, hope", becomes a man full of greed, envy, violence and power "genetically manipulated, patented, cashed off ".
The live dance piece will be musically accompanied by George Crumb's Sonata for Violoncello.
The piece was inspired by the work "Monsanto and friends send their regards" by Gerhard Göschel.
