Why was this cancelled after only 2 seasons? Were the ratings not good, were there plans for a season 3, but they just scrapped them, or did Disney feel that a TV show about rock stars wasn't kid-friendly enough? Either way, I sincerely hope that Disney comes to its senses and puts this show back on for maybe another season or two. But until then, I salute Iron Weasel for combining two things I love, rock and roll and comedy.
Disney, like Most of America is run by a tiny tiny small minority oligarchy where as you and me see this as different, unique and offering something that no other Disney show offered (except maybe Zeke and Luther) a reason to actually go to the channel The heads at Disney saw this as a waste of time and money because they couldn't just pump out cross overs and more stars to come on like they did with wizards of waverly place and the suite life as for there to be a 3rd season i believe it was cancelled mid 2nd season sadly so they just made a half ass story ending about his dad coming back.
I agree I Suspect Zeke and Luther, I'm in the Band and My Babysitters a Vampire were all cancelled for a serious reason the issues dicussed if you think about it these 3 shows are the only ones that show somewhat real life situations and people. ZnL showed the grown adults n young 9 yr olds a verison of Skate bordering and rebellion that was far more interested in girls (while normal to everyday life conversatives would argue its "corrupting our kids and forcing a lifestyle on them" and Disney is at its heart conservative especially in the 2000s and late 2000s it wasn't until like 2013 that we FINALLY got a gay couple something I see everysingle fucking day in the real world but not on Disney) IitB showed a very mature and dark side, a side Disney didn't like, drugs and rock n roll it was obvious after 2 seasons, constant drugs, drinking and seeing things that didn't exist gags that the show was "corrupting our kids" and was WAY out of line by Disney standards its amazing they let them go past one Season, I mean hell theres that "Spider, Snakes and clowns" Episodes that its LITERALLY just a parody of "Sex, guns and rock n roll" by Guns n Roses which is in no way kid friendly MBaV blended both of these shows and premiered before either of the other 2 were cancelled I suspect them trying to appear edgy, however yet again this brought up Drugs, sexual content and I mean EXCESSSIVE sexual content that could give ideas to and "corrupt our kids" like Biting and "it only gets better from here" type of lines it was to edgy for Disney while Disney didn't make it our produce it they still bought the show and aired it and stood behind it for I cant remember 1 season or 2. But mainly all of these shows had adult content that isn't suitable for children in the eyes of Disney, they may get more progressive in time tho as I do want these shows back I'm happy I'm seeing ZnL reruns but never IitB sadly.
