Counting calories and keeping a journal about it, or a note on your phone, can be a great way to really understand what your usual intake is and how you can change things. I really enjoy dancing, so I played Just Dance everyday for 30-60 minutes a day from January 1 until May, because life happens, but I plan to get back into it when I can. Anyways, I lost 20 pounds this year and have kept it off even though my exercise has been more on getting steps, rearranging furniture and boxes, and deep cleaning my house lately. 😅

Are you breastfeeding? You want to be eating a good amount of protein, even if you aren't. Whole food protein too. A grown woman should be eating a minimum of 2000 nutrient dense calories a day. With a minimum of 100 grams of protein as well. Start your day with protein, drink your coffee after you eat. If you aren't hungry when you wake up that's a sign your metabolism is slow. You should be hungry when you get up. Just Ingredients has clean whole food protein powder if you wanna check them out. No yucky junk. Carbs also aren't the enemy, your body needs them for energy. Be kind to yourself. 💕

It helped me so much plus it is extremely low in calories if not zero and has no sugar added no sweetener added to it. And you can decide how much flavor that you want to come out you can dial it down or up. I recommend trying it. They're running a special now where you can get the bottle and some sample flavors for I believe just the price of shipping which is 5.99. that's how much I paid. Also my grandmother used to drink a couple tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and water to clean her out and help with her gut health that woman lived until she was 98 years old. And the only reason she passed away is that she was on blood thinners and when she stood up she got dizzy and fell and hit her head on the end of the nightstand. Otherwise I think she would have lived to 120.

I'm also a Mom trying to lose belly fat, in my case. I'm 4 months postpartum and I respected the 6 weeks after c-section without exercising. After 6 weeks, I started exercising and I thought I would get back to my previous skinny body in no time. Yeah right! The belly Mommy pooch it just doesn't go away, with diet and exercising. Plus, when you have a baby to take care of, your energy has to be so well managed, so you don't feel overly tired. This has made me slow down on the diet and exercise. My diet has to include lots of carbs (healthy carbs of course) so I can handle the many times the baby wakes up during the night and exercising I had to limit to 3x a week, because if not, I'm just not able to keep up with the sleepless nights. Only when you become a Mom, you can actually understand that losing weight is not about diet or exercising, but it is about the time and energy you have left to take care of yourself. So now when people say " ah with diet and exercise you'll get there", I know they don't understand a Mom struggle to get back in shape. Anyway, well done for keeping a diet with 1400 kalories.

Every diabetic person I know (I’m a hospice nurse do the math) has had major struggles getting their meds, some for months and I can think of two people off the top of my head who had direct consequences because of their inability to secure it.
The manufacturers do try to help those with medical scripts out but even then, they do y always have it.
I’ve spent HOURS, and sadly, probably days and maybe even a week or more of hours trying to hunt these meds down for patients, and there are much bigger fish to fry, but we can’t just act like these aren’t needed by folks.

Skip the sweet drink and breakfast bar in the morning.
I lost 35 pounds so far with intermittent fasting.
The first thing I drink is a mineral water and sometimes I add a pinch of Celtic salt.
After that, it’s either a cup of coffee with a little heavy cream or, green tea with electrolytes flavored with lemon and sweetened with stevia. I only use a half a pack of the electrolytes for 16oz. of green tea.
I might have a second cup of coffee or tea or another mineral water after that.
I can go until at least noon or longer without eating.
The first thing I do eat for “brunch” can be anything from homemade soup to salad to a lentil & bean casserole to a veggie egg scramble.
Whatever it is… it’s packed with fiber and that keeps you full.
Dinner is pretty much some version of brunch.
If I snack… it’s raw nuts or carrot and celery sticks with a little peanut butter or some fruit.
Sometimes I just have a big bowl of popcorn for dinner.
For a treat/dessert… I mix plain Greek yogurt with granola or fruit and a dab of maple syrup and freeze for about an hour. Or, I mix smashed avocado with cacao powder, vanilla, and a dab of maple syrup and refrigerate. It’s better than chocolate pudding.
I also do longer fasts every two weeks… 24 or 40 hours. And I’ll do a 72 hour fast every two months.
Americans just eat too much low quality, processed and packaged foods (not really food) and they eat it too often.
The way I eat… I don’t have to count calories.
Try intermittent fasting while eating whole foods.
Bonus if you add in one serving of a fermented food… like refrigerated sauerkraut or some apple cider vinegar.
Starting your meal with some type of salad… green or chopped veggies with a citrus or vinegar based dressing… helps to accelerate weight loss.
A ten minute walk after dinner makes a big difference, too.
Final bit of wisdom… what your body doesn’t recognize as real food? It automatically stores as fat.
Don’t purchase any packaged food with more than 4 grams of sugar per serving or 200 milligrams of sodium per serving.
Processed sugar and salt bloat you right up. As do refined flours.
When you feel hungry… it’s often dehydration. So, drink something (non sugary) first.

Yeah that’s horrible advice. A bowl of popcorn for dinner? Basically fasting for as long as possible and eating as little as possible. That’s not the point of intermittent fasting. You’re depriving your body of pretty much every nutrient it needs for healthy living. Yeah she’ll lose weight but she’ll also lose energy, hair, stamina, menstruation can be thrown out of balance many other things. Not good at all.

Intermittent fasting works for some people but I noticed it’s really harsh on my blood sugar. I guess my genetics are set up for me to get diabetes easily because I got prediabetes multiple times in my life and I’m only 25 😂 so I have to eat a little bit every few hours to keep my levels good. I also get full super easily even though I’m on the border of being overweight. So I just eat little bits of each meal throughout hours.
I’m not prediabetic anymore but I got there really fast when I had a routine of not eating breakfast, barely eating anything for lunch, and only eating one true meal at dinner time.
Not everyone is like me so do what works for you. It works well for some people I know

Her drinks are counted and included in her calorie count 35 calories for an at home coffee and 35 calories for Oli pop won't do wonders. It would take her calories from 1485 to 1415 and increase her cravings and risks over indulging or giving into her cravings when she's out and getting 300 calorie Starbucks instead.

Not to mention it promotes an unhealthy relationship with food and makes it a "diet" rather than a healthy balanced life. You will always give up a diet, you can't live your life restricted by food and scared of 70 calories, but a healthy balance is doable. And that's why most people fail weight loss they restrict everything and realise it's too much. Not to mention coffee is an appetite suppressant and when used correctly especially for someone who prefers small breakfast and larger dinners like most western people do, it can help with appetite control.

    • @stenitez9724
      @stenitez9724 Před měsícem +2

@@ciappy27 suppressing your appetite or not being hungry when you wake up in the morning is a sign that your metabolism is slow. You should also always consume protein before coffee to help with your cortisol levels throughout the day. That mid day crash you feel, it's not normal and it's because coffee raises your cortisol levels and then just drops. Also by starting your day with the proper amount of protein will help curb your cravings throughout the day.
