I'm so goddamn excited he mentioned this, hes so right about WCPW it doesnt get nearly enough credit. The stories they were telling, the level of talent, it was fucking amazing. Drew Galloway's promo on Joseph Connors is one of the single best in the industry, and it hasmaybe 100k views. It needs more exposure.

Glad to hear WCPW get a well deserved shoutout, like Joe said so many amazing talents went through the promotion. They weren't around for long but WCPW helped introduce so many of us to the greatness that was on the UK indie scene and they helped elevate so many brilliant up and coming stars, Joe being a prime example
I'm brand new to knowing about Joe Hendry, and my first thought about his NXT entrance is that he has a million dollar smile.
Idk why but his debut on NXT had the complete opposite effect. I genuinely believe 90% of the heat is from the new generation. Very punchable face.

@@user-ih2tr7rt9r I honestly didn't know him or how long he's been wrestling, I just saw some made up rumor for CATC, that CM Punk would cost Drew the match by debuting a guy named Joe Hendry. So I was like, why is this gaining traction at all, so I looked up the name, and after a good 2-3 CZcams videos I was already a fan.
There has never been anyone in the industry more well rounded than Kurt Angle. My man could be a hilarious dork in the opening segment of the show, and put up wrestling clinics in the main event. He could cut any kind of promo, act superbly in backstage segments, work well with any style of opponent, work well as a tag team, even pop out an insane high flying move in the odd match. Zero flaws in his game. The best amongst the bests.

WCPW in mid 2010s was the DEAL, man I love watching it then most of top star's today had at least an appearance there during their indie runs!
I only know of Joe Hendry because of Adam Blampied and Adam Pacchiti's WCPW. 2016 was a trainwreck for WWE. That year was also an opportunity for others. Years later, look at how far this man has come from parodying Adele!

In the best way possible i never cared too much about wrestlers outside of wwe (minues a few aew people, mostly ex wwe people lol but not all), but the first time i saw a Joe Hendry clip, just earlier this month, i instantly was a big fan. I hope he someday makes it full time going to wwe, his entrance at a WrestleMania would let me die in peace.

I love that Joe shouts out WCPW like this. It’s 2010 peak was incredible, with us getting the only Rey Mysterio vs Ricochet (under those names) singles match that even WWE never pulled the trigger on, and Rey vs Ospreay which may be one of the greatest high flyer indie matches of all time.
He was also absolutely a top guy and to me he gets extra credit because he also did a lot of their CZcams videos at the time. So like Simon Miller now you already believed in Joe Hendry before you ever saw him wrestle
I caught the WCPW video of their battle royal where they took the title off of Drew. It's not on CZcams anymore, but damn if it didn't have some great moments in it. And the names in it, that they made big deals about showing up, all of them are now being talked about as "whose the best in the business?". I think the Mysterio vs Ricochet match was on that card. Not sure, but Mysterio showed up in it. Cody. Joe Hendry, Joe Coffee, Will Ospreay, hell even Piper Niven under the name Viper if I remember right!, I sadly cannot remember them all. But the finish was just hilarious.
Totally a fan of Joe Hendry. He's got the right kind of charisma to go between good guy and bad guy whenever he wants. I'm currently of the hope that TNA and WWE manage to have a good old fashioned invasion angle (not the horrible WCW vs WWF one, but the kind the old territories would have. Like NXT did way back on Raw and Smackdown). Joe Hendry could lead that charge. And, since he's a bad guy in WWE right now, add Drew to that team. Could be cool to put together a surprise team of WCPW alumni, there's enough in both promotions.
WCPW was what got me into UK wrestling. That fed did so much for the scene in the little time it was active.
