We are sharing our season opener to our favorite waterpark! @schlitterbahnwaterparksand2217 owns 2 waterparks and we love both of them. That love is not equal! Schlitterbahn New Braunfels is a superior experience. Being able to stay right in the waterpark is amazing. There is also a strong nostalgia factor for many generations of Texas families. There have been some changes this year, including a brand new entryway into Blastenhoff. Remember that being able to take in a packed cooler and free parking help Schlitterbahn be an affordable experience for families compared to competitors. Share below, have you been? Will you go?

THEY TOOK DOWN "THE TALLEST RIDE IN THE PARK" called "THE SKYCOASTER", in THE BLASTENOFF SECTION IN MY FAVORITE PLACE IN "THE WORLD", "SCHLITTERBAHN NEW BRAUNFELS WATERPARK."
They did, and put in stairs right there.

ty for the video. can you tell me how you brought food in? cooler? where did u keep it? did u move it along as you switched west to east? where is the best place to eat as far as tables and shaded areas go?
Rolled our cooler in, no glass or alcohol allowed. They do search it. We find a table to be our home and just leave it there. We usually do one park, stop and eat lunch then head to the other park. There is shade everywhere! Natural tree shade in the old park and the stretched canvases in the new park. I forget which is east and west😅
It's so easy to bring in snacks or even a full course meal..we got plenty and plenty of picnic tables .we never run out..(even on 4th of july)and about 75 percent is shaded..we also rent out cabanas..(best choice)comes with private seating and refrigerator and tv..I definitely recommend this option

how is the food pricing? Typical of theme parks? More less? I know you said you brought a cooler. We plan to as well. But we also almost always end up getting extra little snacks when we visit theme parks.
Normal theme park pricing. They do offer several meal plans as well.

Since your table was on one side of the park and you left your cooler and belongings there, did you feel safe about it? I’m debating getting a locker but I’ve heard they’re not big enough to hold a cooler.
I've never been concerned about it. Obviously don't leave anything valuable. I've never seen or heard of someone having their bread or towels riffled with or taken. 🤷♀️ the lockers are like normal theme park lockers, about a small backpack size.
I have seen birds steal chips and bread when left available to them.
What time did y’all get there to be the first ones in line?
We always aim to arrive about 45 minutes before so we can be in line 30 minutes before park opening.
What passes should we get ? Do we need the 2pass splash to get into the East and West park?
No, the Texas 2 Splash Pass is for both Galveston and New Braunfels parks. 1 pass for both parks.
New Braunfel Schlitterbahn East and West are all part of the same park pass. You would just need the 2022 Season Pass.

How old and about how tall were your kids when you went on this trip?
New 10 and almost 6, this was earlier this year, my youngest was right at 48 inches. 48 is the threshold for no life jackets required in the deeper river rides.
Was the falls ride open?
Not for us. We went early in the season. My understanding is that it is planned to be open on Saturdays and Sundays.
