Hi! Iâm the one that got to adopt Piff (now named Bingo) at the Sacramento Reptile Show (I also got see you guys at the meet and greet)! Heâs a very good dragon, and he eats his greens. I love him so much and Iâm so glad I got to adopt this awesome dragon!
thatâs so cool
lucky
I have a bearded dragon named wizard :D
i used to have a male bearded dragon named 'tulip' he died... but he was awesome
I love these pet updates!!! Congrats on your great pet and thank you for adopting. Super admirable!!!!
I thought it was funny when Emily was talking about her strong juice and saying she is glad Ed is driving and there is a police car right behind her.
I rewatched that part several times looking for the police car and can't find it.
Im kinda amazed that Piff let you play reverse jenga on his head for that long...
Yeah, I was able to adopt him and heâs definitely very chill. Even when he first got home he didnât even seem scared
I'm not! Dragons are very chill. đ Ours is called Bobby, and we â€him! Congratulations on adopting Bingo. We got Bobby as an adult too.
Oh my god, I am amost positive I was at that park in IN for that eclipse. I was visiting my sister. I had no idea you guys were there. That is the second time I have coincidentally been within walking distance of you two and never knew it. I love you guys and im so bummed that i have missed you twice!
Update: I even talked to Derrick and Dana( if my memory serves), the folks who owned the Gluten free food truck about someone bringing their bearded dragon. Thats insane!! đ€Żđ€Ż
RIP, that's some rough luck man
Oh woww
Emily and Ed,
Lilly and I are also glad that we didnât get âRapturedâ during the eclipse and we are able to continue our Snake Discovery education. Glad yâall had fun and we look forward to seeing whatâs next. Thank you for everything!
Lol. Raptured
I adopted Crawl at the Dallas NARBC. Sheâs doing great and sheâs absolutely adorable! It was so amazing getting to meet youđâ€
Best way to eat SteaknShake fries is with their Steak Fry seasoning and dipped in cheese sauce 10/10!!
đŻ!! Raises the yumm factor to a 10/10!!
FACTS! Was so sad she didn't have the cheese at least lol
The best way to eat Steak n Shake fries is to dip them in the shakes. But cheese sauce is valid. Plain is the worst.
Or dipped in the milkshake!! Their fries are pretty bland without one of the two.
The Eclipse felt so unrealistic when i saw it in person, I was amazed that you were able to take off your eclipse glasses and look directly at the sun for a few seconds once when it was fully covered. The internet definitely doesn't do it justice for how amazing it is in person. The sun also seemed brighter than what it was before the eclipse!
Edit: It forgot to add on this that it felt apocalyptic lol
Agreed. I really thought it was going to be anticlimactic like the partial eclipse but it was so much more amazing than I thought it was going to be.
100% true. I can never express in words or show how it felt to me. Like looking at the sun, theirs something wrong to it.
Even though the sun is almost covered, I'm pretty sure that light still seeps through. đ€
@@silkthecatmoth Only around the edges. It was an unreal experience. Did you get to see it?
I traveled about 5 hours to see the full eclipse. It was incredible to see the "sunset" encompassing the entire horizon, plus listening to the frogs chirping and getting literal chills from how fast the temperature dropped. Then just looking to the sky and seeing this perfect black circle and a silver ring around it. It's an experience unlike any other here on earth.
bird: I need to stop drinking. This is hilarious
We gathered as that day was my late Mother's birthday. So we celebrated her life and shared stories and memories. It was definitely a magical moment.
that's incredible. the moon and sun both wanted to wish her happy birthday :)
Kids, always be sure to stir your juice
đ€Łđ€Ł Good one! đ
No, wait...
You came to my town!! I live in Sulphur Springs! Fun fact about the glass bathrooms, you for sure can't see in them, but if it's evening or night time, people can see your cellphone lit up in there if you are looking at your phone while peeing. I was there one evening and someone was using the bathroom and you could see their phone light up in there. So if you are here again, heads up!!â€ïž
I live about 30 minutes East of you, in Pittsburg! I took my daughter and her friend to an event in Sulphur Springs last summer and we all had to use the glass bathrooms and take pictures. Very weird experience! Lol
Hey neighbor!âșïž
I have also gotten so enamored with how pretty my âjuiceâ is that I forgot to stir. Iâm not an idiot, I just get really excited about pretty drinks!
My girlfriend and I drove about 9 hours to just outside of Dallas so we could see the eclipse in totality! Super cool to see in person!
I forgot to say in this comment, but I got to go to Buc-ees for the first time!! I was so excited! I wear the sleep pants I got from there all the time, theyâre so comfy
I love the dialogue for the birds after the eclipse. I died laughing. đ
Fun fact about the Memphis Pyramid: when it was an event center, there was a King Tut exhibit on display in it.
If you pass back through Memphis on a trip, Good Fortune Co. is a good ramen restaurant downtown
Buc-ees and Ford need to sponsor you. I went to Bucees because of you, then talked it up so much that my friends all went. I hope you get to be a VIP guest at their Wisconsin store opening.
I graduated from high school in the Pyramid, my dad graduated with both his masters and PhD there. Then everything got moved to either campus or FedEx Forum.
I've not been inside since they turned it into the Bass Pro Shop. You have GOT to look up the guy who swam in one of the tanks, naked, then fell out when police were chasing him. That is PURE MEMPHIS. Our city I'd kind of dumb, but you can't say we're boring.
I totally had to look that up! Thereâs even video, with certain bits blurred out! I guess if youâre gonna make a splash, thatâs the place to do it!
Apparently the gentleman in question was having some mental issues, but hopefully heâs better now.
If you ever have the opportunity to visit the Pyramid/Bass Pro again, I would highly recommend it. I used to live in Memphis, and we would visit regularly as it was being built. It is very interesting what they have done with the place!
@@arownathan No doubt, I just hate crowds lol
Unfortunately, I had a cloudy day on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity but will never forget the darkness and cold breeze that swept as we reached totality. Glad you guys got to see it!
even with clear skies, i think my favorite part was the sudden change in temperature. literal chills
The pictures with the eclipse shining through clouds were pretty cool too
With the really strong juice,so Iâm glad ed is driving đđđđ 14:21
...never before have I ever uttered the words "I'm gonna plan a trip to another state solely to visit a Bass Pro Shop." .... it's too amazing not to go see it đ
Fun fact! One way glass works by having the room you can't see into dark and the other side of the glass brightly lit so when you opened the door and let light in you couldn't see through it properly but once it closed light from outside made it through and let you see out while not making it too dark but no one could see in. That's why in detective shows the criminal is always interrogated in a brightly lit room while the detectives sit in a dark room.
emily walking into the buc-ee's and immediately going nuts is one of my favourite moods đ
I LOVE STEAK AND SHAKE. I love their frisco melt
Agree!
One of the coolest experiences I ever had was working at Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area in Kentucky when the 2017 eclipse came through. We were right in the sweet spot with the most total and longest lasting visible eclipse. We planned for two years for it and tens of thousands of people came to view it. It was honestly like a big party. Nobody complained or asked for their money back (because they didnât pay for anything) and people were so thankful whenever we gave their kids a pair of eclipse glasses or let them fill up their water bottle from our cooler. It was an amazing day! Something I will remember forever.
did Emily stir the juice? or did the juice stir Emily? LOL
Its amazing just how different the eclipse was for other people! I was in MO and even tho we got over 95% covered, it was darker but not *dark*. More like a cloud covering the sun but the sky was clear!
I was in the path of totality and it was like sunset, the light level just after it dips under the horizon. Still surprisingly light, but the weirdest thing to me was that all the shadows were at the wrong angle
I was in Totality and it was fun.
hey! that's my buc-ee's! i stop there on the way to my dad's in east TX! they are out of chips and they did discontinue the jalapeno cheddar popcorn, from what we've seen. my daughter is a huge buc-ee's fan!
Stuff like reverse jenga is why I love bearded dragons so much. They're so chill... Until they aren't but then it's funny
Steak N' Shake! A couple locations near-ish to me closed down, I've had it once and it was pretty good!
My favorite part was Emily fangirling over Buc-ees! đ
Buccees needs to send you guys a contract for advertising. You folks makes me smile and I love your positive humour and great videos. đ€đ€đ€
Ed using the bathroom while Emily stares through the glassâŠlmaođ
Ik đđđ
Your response to Buckeyâs is definitely my favorite and I was yelling at my phone at Ed so hard for you when he passed by and made you wait đâ€
Not the "Strong Juice!" đđ
I was in the path of totality in Texas and we were hanging out in the office parking lot for like 30 minutes during the eclipse. The totality was incredible!
I wish I had known you were gong to the pyramid! Would have been glad to show you around. I worked downtown Memphis while they built it and have been around during all its permutations. And we're supposed to get a Buccee's here too.
I almost cried when I saw the eclipse!! And I usually donât get too excited about things like that!!
As someone who lives in the south, it was so adorable watching Emily and Ed try Steak and Shake, not know what Steak and Shake and Freddieâs are, and visit the Memphis Bass Pro Shop. I also love how excited you guys are about Bucceeâs đđđđ.
I hope you guys got to take a tour of Southern food while you were here! I hope you got some barbecue, shrimp and grits, biscuits and gravy, and all the other classic southern soul food!
I love that you used an emeryboard to trim the beardies nails!
11:45 What a great idea for Rex to have! A HUGE enclosure!đ
i love how u 2 r adult kids in tune with each other!!!
One of my favourite anthropology CZcamsrs did a fake conspiracy theory about the bass pro shop pyramid, so when I saw you stopping by there I was laughing đ€Ł
Is that the one with Milo?
@@Ghostchickie of course! The very one!
@@amayakawaii I loved that video! His new video has been really good as well.
experiencing a total eclipse is impossible to actually explain to people its almost eerie in the best way possible.
The reptiles in snake discovery has better treatment then I do đ lol
"That's really strong juice!" đ
I can verify that both Steak 'n Shake and Freddy's are GOOD places to eat!
EEEE! I watched the solar eclipse with my beardie also, so this is so enjoyable to watch
I live in the path of totality. It was super special. Experiencing it again (more calmly, no trying to get a picture or notice everything, etc) was super nice c:
My favorite "thing" is you Emily! And Ed of course!
You have so much fun together! My husband and I love road trips. Weâve been together for 36 years and have silly fun like you. You bring me joy!
"Because you didn't want to stop at Buccees!" That was funny
I used to live in Texas!! I hope you had fun! I live in Georgia now so I only got to see the partial eclipse, but some relatives sent me videos and they were amazing! Thank goodness my software teacher let me out of class so I could it at least see it lol.
Never had an interest in snakes and reptiles until I started watching this channel. Been subscribed for 3 months but went back to watch all the old videos. Love this channel!
Yes Emily juice đ§đ„€ sure sure haha I'm glad you had some good juice on the road!!!!!
Minnesota has Freddyâs Frozen Custard. We used to have Steak and Shake, but they were replaced by Shake Shack.
The top of the pyramid is pretty awesome!! Iâve been up there a couple of times.. before it was bass pro shop the pyramid was a place for concerts and things.. pretty cool yâall got to see that!!
I also went to the bass pro shop pyramid shortly after seeing the total eclipse lol. Truly two marvels of mankind
oooo i love road trip vlogs! Hope you guys are safe from these gnarly storms!
I love the hotel drawer as a beardie feeding station.
We had a 93% eclipse here but the difference is insane !! I didnt think totality woukd be that different but your footage shows how much darker and cool totality was
You know what's cooler than a once in couple of decades cosmic event? Buccees!!!!!! Someone please petition Buccees to sponsor adoption island?! Emily and Ed would be the only reason a visitor to the USA (hopefully soon) would even think of stopping at a specific gas station. I need to try those cheese puffs for myself!! đ
Wow! The eclipse was so cool, and the inside of the pyramid was so pretty! â€
A total eclipse is one of the few experiences that has to be in person. Easily tops my list of coolest things I have ever seen.
They are putting a Buc-ees in AZ now. We're gonna need you to have a Phoenix trip once it's built!
I hope Piff gets adopted!! What a wonderful beardie
I adopted him at the Sacramento show! He is a wonderful beardie
The pyramid with all the fish-tanks!
My favorite thing from Steak n Shake is their frisco melt and then of course their shakes. Although they have limited their shake menu. There used to be more flavors and side by side shakes strawberry banana side by side was one of my favorites. We dont have one near us but t about an hour away.
Saw you guys in Dallas and picked up my first snake ever, a toffee albino hognose! I hope you had a good experience.
I got to see the full eclipse in 2017. It's wild! Even on the East Coast this one was visible enough to darken everything a bit. When my roommate came home from work, I pointed out the window and Said, "THE SUN IS DOING THE THING."
That was my favourite coverage of the full eclipse (it didn't happen to that extent up here in western Canada). Thanks for sharing it!
Video is amazing like always, because Emily and Ed are awesome đ€© It is best to take Bearded Dragons to Solar Eclipseâs :D
Coming from New Zealand, I have seen pictures of the outside of the Bass Pro Shop Pyramid but never seen inside, it is soooooo awesome. thanks for showing us!
After seeing the 2017 eclipse in totality, our family drove 18 hours to just outside of Dallas, where my sister lives, to see this one. It was just as amazing as the one in 2017 and I am planning on seeing the next one in 20 years. Glad you guys got to have the experience. It is so much different than just viewing a partial eclipse. Thanks for sharing your trip. Itâs always fun to see what youâre up to.đ
Thereâs one in Spain in like 17 months
I would love to go to Spain! I suppose I should have specified the USA. It's actually going to be near to where I live, which will be nice đ
I saw the Total Eclipse! It was my first time and was incredible!!!
Greetings from Canada!!!
Honestly the fact we're able to have a full solar eclipse at all is astonishing. thats such an awesome coincidence.
I mean, think about it. The moon is just big enough and the sun is just far away enough of them to appear the same size and for the moon to be able to block the sun fully. thats so crazy. wish i couldve seen it irl. maybe one day.
Lol, glad to see Iâm not the only one who brought my beardie out to see the eclipse. We chilled in a lawn chair on the driveway while he basked and I wore my super cool shades đ
The eclipse was amazing and eerie, the birds went almost silent during totality! It was an incredible experience!!!
The planets are actually venus, juptier, mars, and saturn! I only saw 3 of them, I know venus was 100% there though!
I actually have never gone to a Buc'ees but it seems fun! Hope I can go to one and hope you guys had fun!
You guys have instilled in me an overwhelming need for a Buccees visit, might take me a while to get there from Scotland though!
My local Bass Pro is my favorite place to take my toddler on a rainy day. They have a HUGE tank with (among other things) a nice sized sturgeon in it, and my kiddo and I can watch them for ages
The Bass Pro Shop was really cool!
Aw man, you were just 30 miles from me during the eclipse! Also, at Steak N Shake... I recommend using the seasoned salt provided at the table on the fries, and try to eat them before they can get cold. :) It helps a bit
đ Happy Birthday Emily! đ - from my reptile obsessed little girl đ
I love that Bass Pro shop in particular. It's so freaking cool!!! you kmow it was originally built because the city wanted a new sports arena/concert venue. that didnt work for very long because as the town grew, they needed something bigger. then a church rented it out for a few years. that's really hard to picture. I've never been but watched a doc/CZcams video about it and it looks amazing!!! đ„°
*you told the story just as I was done typing and posted this comment. đ€Ł
Thank you for sharing your experience from MN to TX with us Emily and Edâ€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€
The bass pro shop pyramid is the ninth largest in the world!
19:09 is what hubby and I would do đ€Ł
I love that you caption what animals are "saying", it's so fun
here where i am we saw the eclipse but we did not get to see it in totality i always love your videos keep up the awesomeness I LOVE BUCKIES.
It was one of the most beautiful moments I could experience. We couldnât see the total eclipse because it was cloudy, but it got so so dark it was such a crazy experience. The fact I could still enjoy it was really nice. I just had a listen more.
You two are the best! These videos are always so entertaining! Keep them coming.
Iâm getting a bearded btw ! Iâm so happy
My beardie got really curious and started looking at the clouds like he was trying to figure out what we were looking at buy went right to sleep when totality started
My MBD rescue dragon got to experience the eclipse with myself and a friend. He also had a dog friend there lol!
Happy to see you enjpyed the eclipse!
oohhhh new video!!
Your road trip videos make me want to go on a road trip again, too. They are quite exhausting, but also a unique kind of fun.
I was in Bedford, IN with my family during the eclipse! It looked so cool!
Steak and shake is good!â€â€â€
Y'all have been slaying your vlogs! Excellent fun!
