007: Nightfire GCN - Phoenix Fire - 00 Agent
Vložit
- čas přidán 6. 03. 2016
- Escape Kiko's trap and get out of the skycraper alive.
Objectives:
1- Gain access to lower office floor
2- Activate elevator override control in security center
3- Gain access to lobby
4- Raise security gate and escape through front entrance

This mission can be pretty hard because if you don't use the grenade launcher on the stairs section you'll probably get too much damage or just get killed. After that it's mostly okay, as long as you keep taking the armor vests around the map.

This was the darkest chapter of this game. Just imagine what's going through Bond's mind - the only person he can rely on is dead, and the entirety of Phoenix Corporation's security forces in the building want to send him back to MI6's HQ in a body bag.
No sir, Bond will never give up by the Phoenix Corporation soldiers, since Bond vent his rage is by killing every Phoenix PMC soldiers, while he’s on his way out of Drake’ Japanese tower without having Bond’s mind is relying dead, so he can get revenge on Dominique, because James Bond was a only one man army that he can take them all out.
“I lost a friend” cuts deep
Damn... RIP Dominique. Even after all this time, her death still gets me.
Same. First ever crush as a 6-year-old kid.
Bond is nearly in tears at the end scene, so sad.
"Where's that backup?"
Dude...that backup is dead from backing up the other backup.
that other backup backed other other backup
Backup-ception
Like Gears of War: "You are the support, son!"
Wave of enemies forever at the lobby escape until you turn off the video game console
LOL
Rumor has it they're still waiting for that backup to this day....
TubeO Laughes who?
@@charleshaxell1649 pay attention on dialogues in background
Hahaha!!!
It's been 5 years and I'm still waiting for it.
That scene where he kicks and shoots the glass is such a badass moment
if that was bullet-proof like in Night Shift mission, the kick's counter force would make him lose the grip.
@@jerryhsi005 He let go before he hit the glass. I would have died (metaphorically) if he bounced off like a bug when he hit it. Consequently, he would have died too (literally).
Also cliche
Reference to Die Hard.
1:28
R.I.P. Dominique
She will be missed
I remember playing this as a kid and thinking it would be so cool to work in a high-tech office building like this.
Everything about this game was 10/10. Game play, story, definitely music composition. Damn I remember the days of split screen skyrail on ps2
I hated how they killed off Dominique. I liked her better than Alura.
That’s kind of a recurring (not all the time) motif in the Bond book/movies/games universe; he finds at least one girl who he (more often than not) beds, but she either dies halfway-ish through or turns out to be working with the enemy and dies in the conflict, and is replaced by another girl who is (IMO) usually slightly less hot than the last one who he teams with and then beds as the credits roll.
And yeah man; Dominique was my first crush. I hated playing this level and seeing her dying like that.
And Alura is cringey as hell
“I lost a friend”
Bond must have really liked her.
I really loved bond was affected by Dominque's death. It felt like the game gave Bond some emotional background.
When I was younger I always thought he was talking about Mayhew for some reason
@@AustinThe007Fan Not to mention he was ignoring another woman talking to him at that moment.
@@pierre0227 Exactly Right
I ended up bawling into tears when I first saw that Cutscene at the end. Fuck Kiko!
Shoutout to the absolute legends sliding down the rope with one hand and spraying their assault rifles with the other
Shoutout to the only guards with a brain who just threw satchel charges at the problem instead of getting themselves killed.
@@tsarfox3462 lmao
And even when firing their ARs with one hand, they had godly aim to go with it.
Still hate that Dominique died 😩
The whole intro cutscene is like movie quality screenplay
The civilians are shouting: help! I don't want to die! Intruder!
Been trying to figure this out since I was a kid lol
I have been wondering since this came out thank you
This level was a exact homage to Perfect Dark Datadyne Tower: Extraction were Joanna Dark must go loud when the Datadyne security guards know Joanna inflitrated the underground lab like going back up to the rooftop to her Carrington Institute helicopter and Bond escapes down the Phoenix tower by Alura’s red Nissan Fairlady Z (Z32) after the Phoenix security knows Bond has hacked into Nightfire Supercomputer.
Trivia:
This Phoenix Tower has two levels like Night Shift - Datadyne Tower: Defection and Phoenix Fire - Datadyne Tower: Extraction
That is an interesting observation
I wish EA could do a remastered of nightfire
Jacob Richardson or a movie of this game with all the levels ik the underwater level is octopussy but it would be nice to see a movie of the game
Charles Haxell yea that’s true and add some sprint run animation including aiming besides that red thing
Jacob Richardson I have seen little bits of goldfinger but if you could recommend a 007 movie which one would it be? I’m a fan of Daniel Craig
@@charleshaxell1649 i didn't see Goldfinger
EA is abysmal now.
Bond is seen using a Kowloon in the intro cutscene.
*starts level with a Desert Eagle* XD
That Desert Eagle ain’t no joke
That was his P99, but it had the firing sound of the Glock in the cutscene.
@@tylerg.2599 It would be highly unlikely he'd still have his P99 with him considering either Kiko or the Yakuza would've confiscated it from him. But that doesn't explain how Bond still has all his other gadgets.
Continuity lol
Amazing how playing the game gets you new maps and characters for multi player. What a crazy concept
Literally unreal nowadays.
Bond would approve of your play style
Luke Irvin game is easy
7:01 I like how Bond just stands there while they drop the bomb.
He's seen worse lol 😂
They are stupid, could have just put the bomb on the string first lol
3:41
Is no one gonna talk about how my man here just tanked a shot gun shell to the back of the head and turned around to bond looking very cross?
This mission had a ton of music from the multiplayer maps
Yes i loved both single and multiplayer
Great soundtrack
No it had a bunch of music from the soundtrack
@@Law10205 the multiplayer was underrated imo
Poor Dominique...what an awful way to go
I loved the ground level of this stage. I would play it until I ran out of ammo. Waves of enemies for hours
I really wish EA remastered Nightfire. This game is so awesome.
EA wont do that 😔
EA will do that, if we go James Bond on their ass. We will give them no options other than to comply with our demands.
@@Powerbandm They can't, as they own no rights to Bond anymore. They can't do anything with their past Bond games and they've mentioned they're no longer interested on "promoting" third party IPs as they already have their own.
@@Graslu00 That sucks. I would've loved to see a remastered of the game because this game was my childhood.
@@Graslu00 pity someone else can't do it like how various star wars games have gotten remastered ports and destroy all humans 1 and 2 from the ps2
*Disables bomb*
Grunt: Where's that backup?
You sir, are one heck of a gamer at Nightfire. Hats off to you 👏
1:57 that lady running and saying that line will never not be funny to me😂🤣🤣
Well its japanese she speaking
You’re a monster for doing these on 00 agent. I am a seasoned vet with these games I cannot. It is damn near impossible. Lol. Agent under fire 00 agent was easy. Everything or nothing had some hard ones I could not pass, but most were doable
4:14 I love when that gritty, grinding guitar sound gets going. So metal.
THIS. MISSION. WAS. LIT.
My childhood! I always saw myself in Bond!
This was a great game! Awesome multiplayer mode.
I remember it so well. The multiplayer was incredibly awesome. I remember after school we played it with my friends at home on my PS2. I was so fucking good at that game xD But then again a lot of weapons where grossely op. Thats what made it awesome!!
The animation is so clean! I wish this was on the Xbox one
So clean, you'd think it was a new game if it weren't for the graphics that used to be considered better than they would be today?
What a game... What a soundtrack. To me, the best 007 game.
Dude you totally had the strategy guide at one point. ..... that being said my girl Dom died a very graphic death for a ps2 game
I hate how he is using a mouse to aim too.
+Steve Bia Actually, he said that he was using a GameCube controller. Since this video only has 56 comments right now, you'll be able to find the comment where he says that he's using a GameCube controller quickly.
Gamer88 OMG you're a NAZI
Yeah, as Gamer88 already stated, this is being played with the original GameCube controller with the official Wii U adapter. Back then there was no mouse injector for this and it's really easy to notice this obviously isn't mouse aim.
@@Graslu00 exactly good skills mate
I remember that you could fight with the helicopter flying around the building. In fact, if the corridor in wich the fight takes place recieved enough hits, it starts to crack, lights go off, and finally almost fall... it remains crooked
That would be the Night Shift Mission. You were going upstairs, mainwhile in the Phoenix Fire Mission you go downstairs.
Awee man memory from ps2! im gonna sub
In the elevator shaft part of the mission you can kill an enemy near one of the elevator entrances and take his weapon. It’s a glitched glock which fires fully auto and has no weapon sound.
You're the best 007 player of all time.
This mission was awesome, but the civilians were the worst part
I'm playing through now and I failed because an enemy shot a civilian. That shouldn't count against you it's so dumb
AllTheWorldsWonders “Security to the bridge! Master Chief has gone rampant! Take ‘em down boys!” Lol. I don’t think I’m going to be beating this level as quickly and as easily as he did in this video.
And the endless wave of enemies at the lobby escape
Take a shot every time you hear the office ladies say their one recorded line, and you'll be drunker than bond could have ever been in every film combined 😆
Hands down, the best level in any James Bond game ever!
bruh you took my technique at 2:25 with that grenade pre-throw :P XD
Hah! I just checked it out and you're right, we did the same there.
Interesting, I've been doing this since I can remember playing it lol.
Dang dat response time tho! Nice vids tho, your quality is gr8 m8 since it's on an emulator huh?
Thanks! Yeah, I'm playing the GC version through Dolphin with the original GC controller by using the Wii U adapter on PC, so it's the same experience but in HD.
starfoxfan007 already knew about that in 2003 way way before your comment.
Lol it's an easy thing to do
I've always did that! It's so cool to know I'm not alone lol
the soundtrack is fucking impressive
Poor Dominique though
The asian NPC yelling drove me crazy when I used to play this
This mission is definitely inspired by Die Hard.
Hmm. A 007 and Die Hard crossover film... could it work?
1:22 Nothing like breaking your back falling off a roof onto an elevator.
You would have thought that Phoenix could afford express elevators 😂
You know if your coworkers are heavily armed men and the literal Yakuza, you may want to find a new job.
The Yakuza couldn't shoot for shit when he rolled off the platform onto the elevator.
Return of the Tomitazas !
Good heavens, the sound design in this game is still some of the best I've ever heard in a game. Every gun has enormous punch, and the explosions really feel massive. It's a shame that there's so little visual feedback when an enemy gets hit. They just soak up bullets until they die. It's about the only major criticism I have for this game.
Yeah, that's my big complaint as well, really kills the gunplay feeling. Apparently it's a missing effect from the GameCube version, I've been told the PS2 version has smoke particles coming out of the bodies when you shoot at them. Sadly the PS2 version has the worst graphics, audio quality, and music length.
@@Graslu00 One day all these reverse engineered games will reach the sixth gen consoles and this game will get a PC port, then we can implement some Goldeneye or Perfect Dark style localised hit animations. It would be the ultimate game then.
@@KorriTimigan Honestly I doubt that'll ever happen unless it's somehow automated with AI or something. Interest isn't quite there for someone to spend years reverse engineering these games compared to other classics.
sooo does bond fit all those weapons in pocket?
Standard MI6 issue hyperspace arsenal.
+Mr Rieper Well, a character from GTA Online has a different explanation.
What's that?
Mr Rieper
During the prison bus setup mission to the “prison break” heist in GTA Online, your boss, Agent 14, comments on the whole concept of having all those weapons in your pocket. He concludes that anyone who says it’s unrealistic “hasn’t spent any time in the US prison system,” which I suppose means that bond is hiding all these guns up his arse.
Íon Ó Cinnéide interesting conclusion. I must say I concur, it’s the only logical answer.
I used a Satchel Charge to get to the elevator control on the office floor, Plus there is a room where you can grapple into the vents.
This game was too short. Goldeneye has like 165 levels.
Goldeneye on Nintendo 64 has 20 levels
Tyler Bushell he's talking about rogue agent
The split screen is what made it fun. In the days before online play, split screen capture the flag with bots was so fun. This was the first bond game to have that type of multiplayer
No bond game has that many levels they are all followed like the films. How the hell can an N64 game have 165 levels damn!
I'll soon be uploading my version of this game, with the way I use to play it. I'll be uploading it in a few days; I actually got a pretty good score.
I consider this my favorite mission, as it is non-stop action all over. It's not hard, it's just intense.
Very well done! I'd get brutalised on that difficulty.
Ah the memories
20 years, I just can't believe it
This was the hardest mission for me on 00 agent
I have this game! And it’s fucking awesome and dude you are good at this!! Haha I always take my time with shit but I guess you can’t do that when you’re being ambushed haha. Good Job bro ✌️
This game is too short and Everything or Nothing has 29 levels.
yeah but everything or nothing had more filler. Nightfire was all quality for as short as it was. But it wasne short. Took me months to beat this game by how fucking hard it was sometimes. Especially the sniper mission... jesus christ...
necroplastful I’m struggling on this mission because the aiming system as a whole is rough. If it handled and was smooth like Halo CE, it wouldn’t be a problem. But the aiming is so jerky and not smooth.
Eugene Derry agent under fire was short too. Actually tomorrow never dies I believe had the least amount of levels at only ten.
Everything or Nothing is awesome as well. I spent countless hours with that game.
@@necroplastful and the underwater one! Why didn’t it have any fucking checkpoints?!
A man taking charge of things, good for drake
Daniel Crosswhite last name ever, first name greatest
I think this scene was similar to You Only Live Twice, in nighttime were Bond broke into the safe and stole the plans of Osato’s before raising the alarm, (like Bond steals the Nightfire files) then shooting his way out from Osato’s security before being picked up by Aki. In the daytime were Bond was having the meeting with Osato (like Bond confronted with Drake) before Osato calls in his henchmen to kill Bond think they stole his plans and the chase scene were Bond and Aki was chased by Osato’s yakuza in their Crown (like Bond was fighting off Drake’s security forces downstairs), these two Tokyo missions are similar from You Only Live Twice and Nightfire.
Most people disliked Alura but I remember as a kid I was stoked to see an Aussie being represented in a Bond video game
And its because she's cringey as well
@@zaymac117 that comes down to the writing not the character itself
@@jarrodkapernick3401 I'm just saying cause Dominique is way better and beautiful than Alura.
So your going by looks? I can tell you now if it was a better script you wouldn't be saying that besides how many women have died in a Bond movie by this point because I've lost count
It's not James Bond. It's John Wick.
IS THAT A SUPRA?!
A fairlady z Supra front end weird...thing
This and the Night Shift level remind me of Die Hard.
They're still waiting for backup 20 years later....
why waste time on getting the second door code? You can just blow up the windows of the security room.
I will keep working hard until having a meeting in a room like this in Japan in the future, 01:58, with no Yakuzas present if possible hehe
Sad about Dominique as those boots she wore look cool.
It looks great and runs perfect, what version of Dolphin do you use?
Latest development build! They run like a charm, most of times with default settings too.
1:16 Sweet Chin Music
McCall drives a left hand drive Toyota Supra in Tokyo of all places?!
It was some weird ass Fairlady Z (Z32) with a Supra Front (JZA80), in left hand drive. EA got the Vanquish right but gave Alura this abomination? Lol
@@romeo_alpha0176 licenses for using real cars which is why the only real car is the Aston Martin
You can tell the 007 character is upset at the ending cutscene.
I don’t get that elevator scene why the elevator’s rope didn’t cut after the Satchel Charge was off then the big rope got loose flinging and drop all the way down on Bond with high force of impact but misses the big rope could’ve knocked Bond unconcious after the two Phoenix Security guards hold each other and plant the Satchel Charge on the rope to cut loose.
You know
We know that from “Double Cross” the missions turn difficult
But this mission proves that even we thought “Night Shift” will be a light mission in the Phoenix Building, in this one… the game tell us “No!, it’s time to play” 😅
😊
I love Dominque. I felt sad she got killed.
Lol I find funny how much they liked 'fall' jokes back then . First time I played this was when I got a Ps2 fat was too expensive in earlier 2000's and the jackal one In agent under fire
Do you wanna know what would make my life all more better a team up with James Bond and time crisis 2
I think I vaguely remember this game... couldn't even get past the first level on the easiest setting. it was just way too hard.
My childhood in a nutshell when it came to playing video games. Mostly because I didn't really know how to advance and I don't think I cared. In the first Spyro, I would literally just run around and defeat enemies.
Did they ever get that back up?
lmao the civilians sound like the Lickitung from the Pokemon Stadium sushi minigame
1:42 What does "Jatsu dometasa" mean?
Not sure, but I remember reading that the Yakuza enemies talk about Bond's stomach acid a lot in this game.
It means "a bad day"
Yakuza said “Yatsu wo shitometazo.”
It's mean “I killed him.”
japanese version is “Yatsu wo kiri kizande yaru.”
It's mean “I'll slash him.”
That elevator part should never have made it into the game, my god...
It'll be interesting to create a mod where you can play James Bond's 1st person shooter games as a 3rd person shooter and Bond's 3rd person shooter games as a 1st person shooter, I wonder, would that be possible?
Without the sourcecode, no. It'd be too much hassle to do so and the engine may even not support it.
@@Graslu00 oh i see
i usually just blast my way into the room with the elevator controls- its the only use for the satchel charges i ever found and it was very satisfying to watch the number count down
also, when you get our of the lift, i like to set up a ronin on auto and some tripwire bombs to deal with the swarm of dudes who spawn in there- leaves you free to flip the switch on the shutters and get out with minimal fuss. also i see you didnt fancy taking on the helicopter with the scorpion?
not goldeneye 64 but still good looking
7:04 the Commando's shit-eating grin
Someone should mod this level to be Chris Chan taking on Mary Lee Walsh and the jerkops, and the backup guy should be the B Manajerk. All to escape from her clutches. Why does this concept make me laugh so hard.
Why you didn't destroy the helicopter? There's a rocket launcher in one of the rooms
Should have made that a movie with Pierce Brosnan
You got that right
I agree, along with everything or nothing
I remember trippin tf out when Dominique died
How many times I killed myself firing a grenade into the walls on the stairs...
Huh, I wonder what the other bond move was supposed to be.
