In this video, we take a look at Montego Bay's newest development, the Harbour City Shopping Mall! This project started construction in 2021 and approaches the final stages of production, promising to be opened to the public very soon.
This mall will have a number of shops and office spaces offering various amenities needed by those who visit. It will have a Supermarket and Pharmacy and will also have fine-dining Restaurants ideally positioned towards the sea. On top of that, this mall will have two (2) new features unlike any other. The first one being the offering of rooftop parking and the second one being a Hotel! Yes, the Sky Harbour Hotel! This will be a 10-Suite Hotel occupying the top level of the mall.
Montegonians are well aware of this property, as well as anyone who visits Montego Bay and exits via Howard Cooke Boulevard as it is a spectacle to behold from the roadway. We anxiously await the opening of this building and we welcome the added attractions it will offer.

Or maybe on that open land adjacent corner bar. However, if there were to be such a development, it's almost guaranteed that they would want to put it on the Boulevard.
Some of those old buildings in the town need to be demolished and make way for new developments. However, without vision, no growth is possible...

WHAT A WASTE OF EXPENSIVE WATERFRONT LAND...All structures on the Mobay waterfront should be at least 5 or 6 floors in order to maximize this prime location. The local parish council planning department is not doing its job...lack of knowledgeable urban planners....
