We love you guys and miss you. Hope Lenny is well!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for allowing Judy and I to be a part of this adventure. Wayne
Wayne McPhail Thank you for your part! I personally appreciate when fellow Patreons offer what the can, as it is the true meaning of âcommunity.â Bless you and Judy!
Wayne - you and your wife are Indeed Legends. It restores my faith in humanity seeing both of you being so nice. i really thank you for that đ
you're a legend wayne
How humble you are Wayne and Judy, you played a huge part in this adventure for that crew, the organisation, care for the family gave them the time to complete tasks required.
Go Pack, Wayne! Sincerely, an NC State student and La Vagabonde fan
Riley, you are, most certainly, a sailors sailor. The concern and care you exhibit leading up to departure... That is what sets you apart from the fair weather skippers out there.
They really take pride in doing even small jobs with joy and excellence. You can tell it is not an act. Especially noticeable in the early episodes trying to get the tone right and meet the viewers halfway. Really inspiring. Ready for the next one.
Very true! I love this comment!
A legend in the making; You got this Riley.
@@teslafudge1585 I don't know if you ever sailed the kind of trip they are doing but they are putting themselves in a scenario where having to use their life raft is a strong possibility. Add on top that they have to care for a baby and two "newbie" sailors and yeah, you want to be abso-fucking-lutely sure everything you need is working properly.
Totally agree. You can just on his face the stress. The stress that can only come with being about to embark on an EPIC sail with his fiancé, his child and 3 strangers, one of whom is a huge celebrity. It must have been super exciting but equal parts just so mentally exhausting as a skipper.
Thank you so much for taking her from North America. We are forever thankful
Thank You FOR HELPING GRETA
Literally cried at the first scene in Wayne and Judyâs house, because thatâs so amazing. Never met, yet they support you and take you in like grandparents. Super precious
We had the opportunity of a life time. Wonder full people, wonderful experience. an sincerely love Lenny.

âWeâve done two Atlantic crossings before.... and yeah..... Iâm Australianâ classic.

Lmao! Perfect way to end a resume
All the info needed
I got a job in a pub in in England after they asked "can you pour a beer" I said "I'm Australian"
One thing I love about Australians is they have a confidence that they can do anything without necessarily ramming it down your throat.
Australia is a "can do" country - we'll try anything.
@@grahamjacob97 I've been loving Back to Basics channel from Australia. They definitely got a "can do" attitude
you guys have reminded me that there is still nice people left in this world, love ya.
Congratulations to all involved. I can't imagine how scary this voyage must be at this time of year. All my heart goes out to this crew.
I can't imagine being around a miserable little doom goblin like Greta Thunberg.
Imagine the stories Lenny is gonna have when heâs older, how many people can say they crossed the Atlantic at his age!
Joshua Bates with greta Thunberg wow
Lenny should get a tattoo. It's an anchor for sailing across the Atlantic, right?
Well you have to add by boat
â€
Mikael, itâs funny because I actually donât remember asking.
How I imagine the other half of the phone conversation
"It's a 48 foot catamaran"
Uhhh, I don't know...
"We've done two Atlantic crossing before"
Hm, just two? Might be a problem...
"Yeah, I'm Australian"

I remember seeing the news of Greta crossing the Atlantic and it being a momentous moment but as a late discoverer of your videos, it is a joy to watch you on this journey from your perspective. An amazing thing for you to have documented and for the world to share.
Look after yourselves and the family gang, last weeks video was a doozy and you all have earned a solid break.
Rewatching this series again. Still so engrossing.
How ridiculously heartwarming is the generosity of strangers sometimes.
my thoughts exactly while watching this!!
was thinking the same thing, how powerful it is to lend a hand to someone, who is in need of what you can offer easily
fuc* generosity.. thats views men
Ever heard of stranger danger?
@@theawesomestuff1175 yes, hence the "sometimes" in that sentence. If anything the stranger danger makes the generosity stand out all that much more when it happens!
Regardless of how one feels about climate change and the environment one of the biggest takeaways from this episode is how great the sailing and boating community is. They always lend a hand, whether they are friends or strangers. Wayne and Judy are gems!
Also, the prep work! You could definitely sense the anticipation and excitement! Can't wait for the rest of the episodes.

Wayne and Judy = LEGENDS
What a wonderful couple, you can see the kindness in their faces!
You spelled antifa wrong đ
We are not legends, its Riley and Elanya and their little boy , Lenny! Really love him!!!!!!!
Those two elderly patreons just made my day. If you can find outstanding people like that to support you, you know everything is going to be alright in the world. Great video
Wow!! Taking on the North Atlantic that time of year.. there are sailors and then there are proper sailors. Well done guys!!
you give people like me that are dealing everything including depression an opportunity to actually feel like they're experiencing thew world. thank you for your videos., I'm going through alot but it will all sail on. I love you guys thank you guys.
How sad - the channel that entertained, enlightened and amused so many subscribers for years has reached this point. With Riley and Elayna's bubbly enthusiasm for life making us all envious of their freedom and lifestyle, not ignoring the time, energy and skill they put in to filming and editing vlogs. The channel was so far removed from modern living where Politics left and right are at the fore front of every day life. Watching always brought a smile to my face and with the arrival of beautiful Lenny it became even more enchanting. Comments a joy to read. What a contrast today with so many upset viewers and acrimonious remarks flying back and forth by people with differing experience and viewpoints. I hope once this series has ended the adventure returns... Happy and safe sailing Guys.
totally agree, ugh, just ugh. Hate losing an escapism route that has become infected by politics. Hope this is not s regular thing as I like watching these vids! :-)
Oh no! Discussion! With differing experiences and viewpoints? That truly sounds awful.
@@98Zai I think it is more this was an escape from all that, not that discussions w/ differing views are bad. This and other channels like it are nice ways to escape such things for a few min.
@@damianjackson7067 I suppose Elayna and Riley are to blame for the inflammatory comments? Seems like a shitty thing to say.
@@98Zai It's their channel and choice, don't see how it's shitty to make an observation, unless of course you don't agree. Shame children can't respect other views.
I was in tears watching you say goodbye. Looks like Lenny found a grandpa that adores him and another grandma too. I'm setting here thinking, oh my gosh I have to wait another entire week for the next episode. Happy part is I know you made it ok. Looking at the previews of the storms it looked scary. Sending love all the way from Utah.

Kudos to Wayne and Judy along with all the people who helped preparing the trip, at a time where it is difficult to call yourself an American is was great seeing real American hospitality.
The amount of help people are willing to give, shows how good humans can be. Let this be a reminder, we can always help one another. Because we are all the same.
The fact that La Vagabond and Greta's paths crossed is no coincidence.
Both the same piece of the string of life and no better people to take the good Lady across an Ocean.
Sitting here with goose-bumps in admiration and love for the fact that you stepped up and made it possible for an activist of our time, that is much needed in this mad crazy world that we are perilously close to losing is beyond priceless.
Thank you guys for being "literally" yourselves and giving us, your followers a chance to meet Greta in person, "so to speak" and to have it all happen on yet another awesome hope and joy inspiring channel such is La Vagabond.
Fair winds and much love to you all.
Look at your views and more importantly the "likes" in what, four days it is only going to rise like the sailing stars that you are :) xx
When I was in the Navy I crossed the North Atlantic in winter time, it was serious business with some of the biggest waves I've ever seen. Riley and family and all the people that helped are all Legends.
@Nikolai Ninja I was on the USS Boulder LST 1190 on a NATO cruise in celebration of the bicentennial. My ship is also now decommissioned in Philadelphia and yes I saw 40-50 ft swells in the North Sea. Up on the bridge a new ensign on watch was up there with a look of fear in his eyes, hell it scared me. so Kudos to Riley for taking on such a challenge.

Ok so I hope you see this comment. I have watched videos of yours off and on for a couple years. When I saw this pop up a few months back I watched this whole series and really then became in love with your adventure. I then immediately became a patron and bought some merch. Then went back to episode one and watched every single video you have ever made in order and now Iâm back caught up to where the obsession began. Thank you for everything you do. Now Iâm about to watch the Greta crossing for the second time and then catch up to current day. Canât wait.
Wow, what an amazing experience for all of you! Can't wait to see the journey!
Be passionate about something, be kind to someone, be supportive, be helpful and be happy. No matter the agenda. Riley and Elayna show these qualities through the many adventures they share, which we choose to watch. If we all follow their lead in our own lives the world will be a pretty cool place to live. When times are dark It's better to shine a light than to put one out. Looking forward to the next episode. Well done.
Very well said! (OK: written)
You make a lot of sense Greame, and its good that you took the time to express your thoughts in writing on this thread. Your sentiments have the effect of washing away the (anticipated) negative drivel that a minority have posted.

While every Monday is an escape for me watching SLV, the preparation and struggle of getting ready for this trip of madness of crossing the North Atlantic in, based on the trailer, the nastiest weather I have ever seen, was everything for me.
Adventure.
A mission.
Struggles.
A examination of the human spirit and willpower.
