The car's Owner is Joe Santucci. Joe’s had this car since 2016. Joe shares he likes the history of the car and being plastic, it doesn’t get dings or rust.

I had a red one just like this! I could barely get in to it, so I gave it to my daughter.
Hi Bob Bob, Happy to read this one brings back memories of the one you had, Lou
This one definitely takes me back. The red ones were definitely popular, and this one looks pristine! Thanks, Lou!
Hi TheGunfighter45acp, Happy to read this one brings back memories :-) You're welcome, Lou
Yeup.. remember the lady next door had one just like this.. we thought was a Ferrari when I was younger
Hi Vic, Happy to read this one brings back memories of the lady next doors car :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
Lou, if you were a car salesman, you would have sold this one in a heartbeat! Very appealing video!
Hi JON, Happy to read you appreciate this car and enjoy this video :-) Lou
The ‘Heartbeat’ of America !!!! Oh wait the was the Chevy slogan of the mid 1980’s LOL.
I had my first job at this time at a Buick-Pontiac dealership in the parts department, so this brings back memories. These were all the talk and I personally liked them. I was driving a 1971 Pontiac LeMans at the time that I got for $750, and making $90 a week, so any new car was out of the question. This example is in really primo shape. Cars from this era actually still seem "new-ish" to me.
Hi Joseph, Happy to read this one brings back memories for you :-) I agree, when I see cars in the 1980's or newer, they don't seem like old cars to me either, Lou
I always liked this car. Unfortunately Engineering at Pontiac finally lost its power soon afterwards to....and I use the term very loosely......"Upper Management" and "Marketing" and the "Excitement" was over. This owner's passion and car lives on and I applaud him. Thanks Lou!
Hi Brian SD, Thank you for viewing & sharing. You're welcome, Lou
Thanks Lou for the memories. I still want one to this day. V6 of course.
Hi Chuck Marcheschi, Hope you're behind the wheel of the right one with a V6 for you soon, Lou
I got one for sale 700 bucks it runs too just dont stop
@chuck Marcheschi
I came of age during the Eighties, and I well remember Pontiac's "We Build Excitement" slogan! I joined the Pontiac-Oakland Club International in 1988 while I was still in college and bought my first car late that year after completing my studies. It was a 1987 Grand Am sedan and it was a lot of fun to drive. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I kept it all the way through 2006! By then it needed more work than I could afford to pay, but still it was pretty sad having to part with it, kinda like a dog owner who has to put the animal to sleep. You just never forget your first car! I did get my 1967 Bonneville station wagon while I still had the Grand Am and still have it today, so I'm grateful to still be a Pontiac owner.
As for the Fiero, I would say it was probably the best choice you could make at the time for a two-seater if you couldn't afford a Corvette. You and Joe shared how comfortable the Fiero's seats were and having had that Grand Am for so long I believe it. My car was plenty spunky with a 98-horse Tech IV so I can imagine what a thrill it must have been to drive the Fiero with the 135-horse six!. The dash is pretty similar too, so that's another reminder of my car. Believe you me, that Excitement slogan wasn't just talk!
Thanks for another exciting video, Lou! You know, Dustin Hoffman was told in "The Graduate" that there was a big future in plastics. So there we go!
Hi iswc27, Happy to read this car brings back memories for you :-) Thank you for viewing & sharing, Lou
I enjoy every minute I'm driving my 4 speed 86' Fiero GT.
NICE!
Always classic red! My friend bought one of these right off the transport truck in the dealership’s lot. We always thought this car was way ahead of its time. However, in time, we discovered all the problems these cars came with, electrical being the main one. I hardly ever, ever see the Fieros around anymore, so great to see one! Thanks Lou for a Thursday morning treat!
Hi Rusty, Happy to read this one brings back memories of your Friends car :-) Glad to bring this treat, and you're welcome, Lou
I love this car. I remember growing up innthe 80s and this was the car I wanted. Saw a silver one today for 5000 . If i had the money i would buy it. So cool. Nice video . The car looks really clean and very well taken care of. Love the red
Hi April Lew, "Happy to read you "love this car" :-) Glad to read you have fond memories of this car too, Lou
Where would I be without the "jack instructions"? I'd be lost without you.
Hi James, Thank you for sharing, Lou
Lou thank you for keeping the Fiero memory alive, it always makes me happy seeing one of these
Hi David, Happy to read you enjoy the Fiero's :-) If you type into CZcams search "My Car Story with Lou Fiero" I think you'll see a few more you might like too, Lou
Thanks Lou for comments!
My pleasure.
I always want buy this Pontiac Fiero 5 speed manual! In 1985 I was 35 with salt and pepper hair because of the job I did in Louisiana bars and restaurants!
Hi ROY, Hope you're behind the wheel of the right one for you soon, Lou
1985 I had Pontiac Leman back then and Pontiac Fiero was sold out!
Great video. In 1984 I purchased new Trans Am in black with T-Tops and tan interior in the High output Arrow package. I wish I still had it.

Unique cars that were widely disliked. Quality complications? Dependability? Heard all kinds of stories during its day. A plastic body experiment pre Saturn. Pontiac also created a plastic mini van the Trans Sport.
Hi Trip Reviews, Thanks for viewing and sharing, Lou
The Pontiac FIRE...chuckle ..we love yur videos Lou ..thumbs Up
Hi Mgn, That's funny :-) Thank you for the kind words on the videos :-) Lou
My sister's ex had purchased one, the 2M4, and he always wanted me to drive it because he hated the 4 speed in it. First gear was difficult to find initially but I got used to it. It was fun to drive but had less than half the power my 5.0 Mustang. The handling was better than my Stang and the ride was smoother. There was just something about sitting low to the ground, shifting gears and taking corners fast that left me with warm memories of the Fiero. The 2.5 Iron Duke 4 banger was crude and temperamental, the Quad 4 would have been great in that car. The successor was a great looking car but GM killed it before it went into production. My understanding was the Quad 4 was going to be the base motor with a twin turbo six as the top option. I guess we can only speculate what could have been.
Hi Sean, Sounds like fun memories, Lou
A friend of mine bought a brand new one of these back in the day and took me for a ride. I'll never forget the first reaction from the speakers in the headrest it was amazing. Love your long black flowing hair Lou🤣🤣🤣
I bought a 1937 Chevy street rod in the 199Os and it had those cool Fiero seats with the speakers in the head rests.
Hi Andy, Sounds like good times :-) Glad to read we both have fond memories of the hair I used to have :-) Lou
Wow that runs and shifts so smooth. Told me it's comfortable too and it looks it...I'm sold. I can imagine what the four sounded like but this... is butter.

Had lots of giddeup for a little car with that motor I also like it that it is a automatic. Would love one of those pace car Fiero's too boy was that sharp! Great video and great owner and liked this video a lot Lou!
Hi Steve, Happy to read this one you loved :-) Glad to read you enjoy this video, Lou
Clean Fiero! A 85SE with the V6 is pretty rare. I love it!

Thanks for another unique Car Story Lou!
Hi Jeff, Happy to read this video brings back fun Fiero memories :-) Good times, and you're welcome, Lou
Just bought my Fiero a few weeks ago, I love it so much!! I just need to get used to how she handles.
Congratulations! Glad you're enjoying your car.
Que belleza! Muy afortunado el propietario de este Pontiac Fiero!
Happy to read you enjoy this car :-)
I remember trying out a Fiero GT (for a day) that was more of a fastback & had some serious power & a nice snarl for a small car. I wish I could remember the year. It was a nice car.
Hi Cmdr Darwin, Happy to read the one you remember brings fun memories :-) Thank you for viewing, and sharing, Lou
I had one. It was a really fun car.
Hi Dave, Happy to read you had fun with your car like this, Lou
I remember Car and Driver writing how GM is noted for producing at best, a great car with a bad motor, or a bad car with a great motor. (finally) Having both was a sign it was soon to be discontinued. Two years later, when I was able to buy a car, I got the Acura Integra.

Excelente Vídeo! Gran año 1985 donde el auto Pontiac Fiero pareciera el Ferrari del programa de tv Magnun : ))
Hi Eduardo, Happy to read you enjoy the video :-) Lou
Sweet Car. It’s a shame that Pontiac killed off the Fiero after the 1988 model year ironically after they had finally gotten the kinks out of the car and improved it’s sporty look. I remember seeing a beautiful white ‘88 Fiero GT at my local dealer when I was ordering my 1989 Firebird Formula-350.
Hi Michael P, Happy to read you enjoy this "Sweet Car". An 89 Firebird is nice :-) Lou
Beautiful car had the exact same thing but black.put gold honeycombs from My gt on it. 70000 miles on it.then 3 years ago some guy ran the stop tboned me and totaled it. Had 2gs in it.insurance paid me 4700! Still wish i had it..

Happy to read you enjoy this car :-)
@@loucostabile this channel also shows great cars and my videos too rate OK bro
I miss the Pontiac line of cars. With a few exceptions, they were innovative, quality cars.
Hi Delray Shaffer, The GTO's of the 1960's & early 70's were so cool, and Trans Ams, well they were great too, Lou
Great film Mr. Lou! The Fiero was a great car and as soon as GM started giving it better potential the car is discontinued. Typical GM back then (imagine how much worse GM is today). I performed an oil change service on one of these at a Chevrolet dealer I worked at in the early 90s; it's a shame that automotive engineers are not required to work on every car they design!
Hi Donald, Happy to read you enjoy this episode :-) That's a good point about collaboration between departments, Lou
Sounds great . That must move with a V6
Glad to read you enjoy the sounds of this car :-)
Fiero, the car that lasts forever. 😃

Good times :-)
My vehicle was in the shop and a friend loaned me his but it was the four cylinder version. I think 90 percent were red in color
Hi Gary, Seemed quite a few were in Red. Thanks for viewing and sharing, Lou
Pop up, up and down headlights! 😁
Thank you for sharing what you notice.
i cant remember the last time i saw a fiero on the road.
So many in the late 80's early 90's and nothing now.
Wow~~!! 미드쉽 엔진 가지고싶네요
Hi 정할리, Happy to receive a "Wow" from you :-) Lou
Mazda RX7, Triumph TR8, Fiat X-1-9, Couple of Ferrari’s from the era, Pontiac Fiero... all very similar
The sleek pointy front end look to cut through the air.
Lou Costabile true
Is the gentleman selling it by chance, I have owned 5 of these over the years , Thanks

Hi Florida Scot, Looks = :-) Drive train = :-( Lou
4:10 if you don't have electric windows you're glad to habe this little thing! I often use it and I am glad to have those working
6:25 remember Pontiac had women in mind as customers and I am glad to have the hooks to please the ladies. They apritiate not having your or their coats and jackets on their knees believe me
Hi carbonid solo, Thank you for viewing and sharing your thoughts. Hope you see many more cars on this CZcams Channel you enjoy. Lou
At one time Pontiac was the best thing about GM... Buick should have died.
I agree I always loved Pontiac's! Everything they made in Pontiac I loved. I totally agree but the Chinese Love Buick's so that is why they kept it.
Thank you for viewing and sharing.
@@tippey2011 personally, I'm a typical Buick nut. I had high hopes for the Riatta, which was a big disappointment. But the Fiero is and always has been impressive. I test drove a 4 cylinder Fiero in late 1983 and was very impressed.
Yup True story
I remember a local guy that owned a body shop here in town swapped in a Northstar V8 in his.....
That's a FUN idea :-)
@@loucostabile Never got to ride in it but I did see him ripping around town. A couple guys that did said it was a handfull. LOL!
Beautiful car! But for some reason i keep hearing Knight Rider music....... ;p
:-)
Pontiac's P-Car!!! Somewhere in development, this was an old design for a mid engined Corvette with a V6. Pontiac eventually got it, but pitched it to the brass as a COMMUTER car. LOL! But I think they knew eventually that they would put the V6 in and have a little fun. A unique design? Well... In all honesty, it really is an X-car with a little Chevette thrown in. But that's ok!

En realidad, ese automóvil no es un diseño americano, es italiano por es un FIAT
Thank you for viewing & sharing.
I will never forget how GM abandoned the Fiero for their idiotic Saturn line. What a shame. If Chevy took this concept directly to the Corvette line, who knows where GM would be today, based upon the C8! So far ahead of it's time, yet now so far behind,
Hi Chuck, Thank you for viewing & sharing your thoughts on this car and the automakers too, Lou
Anyone here for Ferris Bueller’s Day Off

I like this, but it does look like a cross between a Fiat X19 and a Bond Bug!
Thanks for viewing & sharing your thoughts.
V6 are not but, in a manual.
Hi Fixin Bugs and Stuff, Thank you for viewing and sharing. Lou
By the time they fixed it it had a bad reputation. It was known as slow with that 2.5 liter four cylinder, engines caught fire, and unreliable. Toyota MR2 killed it. Garbage.
Hi Paul M, Reputation is VERY important. Thank you for viewing and sharing your thoughts, Lou
They killed it because it was going out the corvette to shame.... do your research.
