NAMM Highlights! Tosin Abasi stopped by the Ernie Ball booth to demo his new Ernie Ball Music Man Kaizen and sat down with Brian Ball for a live Q&A! #namm2024 #nammshow
@@josh-bodnar Another Year, Para Mexer, Tooth and Claw, Physical Education, Lippincot, pure masterpieces! Could list the whole album, it's too much greatness
What's not to love if you're a lady? Handsome black man with a seriously fit physique, ridiculously talented musician with his own company, highly educated and intelligent. Tosin's the whole package 😍😂
@@spectre3492 i didn’t want to put it down. It is made to be ergonomic. I would always recommend getting somewhere that has one to try. I got lucky that Chicago Music Exchange had one
So rare to see an AMAZING guitarist TITAN that can shred, Tap, Pick , Fingerstyle AND Rip your shoulder out of socket in an arm wrestling match..!! I like watching the tendons and muscle fibers go crazy in Tosin's forearms while he plays.... A rare sight in the guitar world..
I was there!!! Asked the question at 21:55. Thanks Ernie Ball for putting this together! Had a total blast watching him play from literal feet away and watching you guys chat.
I’ve got a /75 Spectraflare Kaizen 7 and it really is a unique instrument. Very forgiving, ergonomics are thoughtful and unlike anything else you will play. Great guitar!
@@vhcxhbvg have not played the strandberg but from what I can see with regards to shape and dimensions, it will feel small because of the shape. Even though the scale is longer than the Kaizen, the addition of the headstock and a full-shape body on the kaizen would I imagine make it feel a bit bigger in your hands than the strandberg. The strandberg is also slightly lighter which will make it feel smaller too. Play the Kaizen, see what you think! To me it’s light, thin, but full in sound, versatile, the fretboard and neck are fast and precise, the trem is a fun addition. The infinity radius & multi scale combo is something you can’t really get elsewhere. Great guitar!
I always liked JPs MM signature guitars and this is just the next level of that vision. Ive been looking for a guitar to bring me into modern times so to speak and this touches a lot of those bases without going completely over board. For sure will check out the 6 string version.
Got. Dangit. Bobby. Hes so fricken good. Even his karaoke is fucking flawless. It's like hes having fun, but he still cant be anything less than perfect. Fuck, dude.
07:45 I first heard of this band, I thought Tosin was the only one playing like this. Then I saw it and saw Javier come in. My eyes! Edit: Really want an 8 string. Where’s the 8-string?! It’s weird, outdated practice to hint at one coming later. Just say it’s going to come out later lmao.
Interesting to see Tosin playing The Woven Web on a 7 string. There are definitely some parts that go down to the low drop E string. I guess he's just transposing those parts up a bit?
I think it's quite funny when he goes to reach for the tuners on the low B around 4:10, even though he designed the guitar to have these weird tuners, it's so engrained in most guitarists to reach for the tuners on the top side of the headstock he couldn't help the movement lol.
They probably just strung up these guitars for the show and didn't let a good day to have them stretch. It's frequent for companies to do that, but it does look bad on their end. I'm not gonna buy a 4K guitar if it won't stay in tune lol @@michaelpilgrim8131
Crazy to me that a musician as big as him is just playing his own song through his phone and then his live guitar just louder. Should have the guitarless version in tracks
Have you seen Jordan Rudess playing on a AAL song on Pianote channel? Need to have Rudess on at least 1 song. And would not mind they do an album with guest artists on it. Bring in the sax, why not 1 song with vocals (Courtney Laplante or Tatianna on it would be cool).
I think this demo would've been far better had he come with tracks where his recorded parts were removed, so he could really play over the backing track.
Love this guy and thankful for Animals as Lifters!
With all the influence this band has spawning new guitarists/drummers. We can now officially call this band Animals with Litters!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
He stole Petrucci’s gym membership.
hes working out for a long time but i guess hes on a little bulk lmao
Him and John need to do a gym routine video.
He’s looking huge
He needs to steal Trucc's tuner.
😂
"Joy of Motion still worth playing" OMG he's talking about one of the best instrumental albums of the whole DECADE
Even the 1st album, for me every album is timeless.

Tosin doesn't bend the strings, they bend themselves out of fear! Incredible playing
Tosin a-buff-i 💪

Its the 10 year anniversary of JoM?! Already?! Man, time flies.
Yeah this is fucking crazy lol
Was so cool to see all the Ladies in the audience.

They want that BBC
😂😂😂
Finally a finish that fits the concept
One of the most comfortable guitars I’ve played! Made 7 string feel effortless!
Have you tried strandberg? You got me interested, my strandberg 8 i hope feels small due to the endurneck but i dont have anything to compare
@@vhcxhbvg it definitely feels more like a regular guitar compared to the strandberg. The tilted angle of the neck and compound neck width is so nice.
Seriously! One of my favorite 7 string necks!
Does the body dig into you at all? I’m interested in getting it, I don’t want any edges digging in

Just thankful to live in the right time period to witness this amount of talent.
So awesome!!!
the up-close video of Tosin's playing is awe-inspiring
Tosin I love you! You are the best
Jaw-dropping playing, fantastic stuff!
I love that half the comments are about how jacked Tosin is these days 😂

Incredible artist in every way. Mind blowing.
Absolute unit.
The tone really kick my ass
Tosin est un Génie.

Magical guitars.. insane prices!!

Dang! The guitar's look is outstanding... Four thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thumps up and down. That’s what Tosin likes.

God damn.... Tosin looks like he's about to try out for the Packers at linebacker.

"All of their albums."
*jens face headbanging*
,,,the chrome finish,,,,wow....now add lime green,,cherry,,blue,.....brilliant playing..out of this world.
Tosin could play a string attached to a can and it would be brilliant.
That patina metal finish is so cool
I’ve been on the fence about the abasi instruments but man.., I can tell the quality is there.
But these are Ernie balls

Best guitarist on the planet.
My favorite Animals as Leaders album!
Impossible to exaggerate how great of a guitar player he is. I have some clips of them playing live in New Orleans
Tosin is looking more jacked! 💪🤘
tbh he just put on some fat here I think 😂
Guitars fkn sick.... so is tosin
Thats one of the few new guitar designs that peak my interest. I hope the do a sterling model
good lerdy!
Damn! Arms are looking tough!

The slappy plucky part in "The Woven Web" still get me rock hard. Oh yaaaaaaa
I think The Joy of Motion might be my favorite AAL album
Bro Tosin just keeps getting stronger and cooler and better at guitar so I’m working on the same stuff
Animals as Lifters!

10 years ago, the best progressive metal album was released. AAL for life
damn that tone HAAAA
13:31 absolutely out of the world voice crack. very impressive.
Any plans for a Sterling version as many can't afford the EBMM Kaizen??
So insane WOW. Seems like he’s very loose with his right hand but still soo accurate.
Got. Dangit. Bobby. Hes so fricken good. Even his karaoke is fucking flawless. It's like hes having fun, but he still cant be anything less than perfect. Fuck, dude.
I don’t play metal at all anymore but I really want this guitar or one of his abasi guitars.
I love the feel good vibe of Joy of motion album. Would like AAL to explore more that direction, maybe with even more trippy, positive vibe, etc.
Tosin's transformation into Guinan from TNG is almost complete.
What the fuck Tosin is absolutely jacked!
7:16 Tosin is Human. Still love him. 😊
When will the Kaizen be available in Europe with both finishes?
That part bout the moshing caught me off guard when I saw AAL last year. There was a proper circle pit going when they played micro aggressions
Tosin is god

Following up with Tosin on the name of the chrome guitar:
Weathered Tungsten or Weathered Adamant for a little folklore feel 😁
Love his band Gymrats as Leaders

Living color
Woven web 🔥
Dude is buffed AF.
How’s the tuning stability on the low string?
doesn't sound good
LOL - Check out the sign on the wall behind Tosin - They misspelled Adrian Belew's name
7 string animals is my favorite animals
Is that a chrome finish? If so, when is that finish going to be available?
That’s what I thought. Am I seeing things? It looks like a chrome finish.
I approve the Kryptonite green more than any color they've every released. :)
Man abasi got hench!!
tosin abicep

I think this idea was the stupidest of all. Also the headstock design doesn't match the body at all
I'm surprised at how much the tuning was out.
