The fact that Ryuga only lost to Gingka ONCE in the entire trilogy, and in a very mentally unstable state, given how thick his plot armor is, really shows how CHAD he was. Then he just went on to eradicate everyone until the last season and only lost to the final final boss whom himself only had advantage over him after absorbing his power. And even after redeeming himself still never got nerfed or joined the good guys. Ryugoat defies every anime logic and I love it.

No matter what, Ryugoat was the best blader of thé series, he never lost under normal conditions, not only because he was strong, but also because he was smart as hell and Always managed to quickly use his bey at full potential, while everyone, even Gingka took so much time to use their beys. Plus, Ryuga isn't good or Bad, he's a lonely Wolf that only Cares about being the strongest while even Kiyoya was still in the main band as their Friend despite what he pretends

Throughout the show, Ryuga stuck to his guns and didn't take shit from anybody. He never gave in to peer pressure, never played by anyone's rules but his own, and never backed down. Metal Fusion set the tone for him, Metal Masters flipped it on its head, showing us that there was a lot more to him than met the eye, and Metal Fury gave us the perfect conclusion to his character arc.
Ryuga is the reason I watched this show, and the only episodes I rewatch are the ones with Ryuga in them.
This man was the GOAT. He only lost to the main character, who had plot armor plus the force-ghosts of three of the strongest people around (at the time) in Fusion, took no L's and no damage at all in Masters (He straight up called a nuke weak shit), and only lost to a literal God in Fury. A literal God that had the power of every bey in the world, including his own. He was fighting someone with his own power plus the entire planet combined, and he was still going hit for hit for an entire episode. Ryuga wasn't just strong, he was skilled, intelligent, and persistent.
Ryuga didn't win because of BS powerups. He trained like hell to earn those powerups (Except that one time with the star fragment), and beat the brakes off everyone who were supposed to have those same powerups. He put in the work like no one else did. He trained Kenta, who by all accounts was an ordinary guy, and put him on the level of demigods. He trained him to the point where he was one of three people that ever put a mark on L-Drago. (One of two, if you exclude the S1 finale, which was two transformations ago).
Throughout his entire arc, he first showed that he was not an insane maniac trying to kill everyone, then showed that he wasn't a Vegeta and actually helped save the world, then showed that he had a heart by not leaving Kenta to die, then showed his inner Vegeta by fighting the God of Destruction when there really was no need to do so, showed his strength by fighting Nemesis solo, and then showed that he was an honorable guy by sticking to what he promised Kenta, even at the cost of his life.
Ryuga doesn't fit into any classical anime character categories, because he is literally built different. This is one of the most legendary caracter depictions in all of anime, and it is a shame to see that so few appreciate it.
Also, Ryuga was the first person to learn how to teleport. Which makes his training even more impressive - He could teleport, and he still walked across deserts and mountains.
Put simply, Ryuga is, and forever will be, the definition of HIM.

@@bradygoldblatt560 Take the tip of Cosmic Pegasus for example, it starts out as a semi-attack, semi-stamina tip because the centrifigual forces eject the mechanism that holds the tip, but when spinning forces decrease, the tip goes back in and the part that has contact with the ground is the most aggressive attack tip ever, huge and really flat tip overall that is made of rubber.
Variares D:D's entire existance is like this too. The same centrifigual forces activate the mechanism that retracts the "shields", which rounds off the Fusion Wheel to make it better for defence. When the bey is first launched, it has a lot of spin and centrifigual force, so the shields are retracted and there are huge gaps which provides great smash attacks, because contact points are heavy and huge, thanks to the fact that they contain the retraction mechanisms. When these forces decrease, the shields are up and the bey is in defence mode, taking hits easier because of the circle-ish profile of the Fusion Wheel, thus not losing as much spin.
      So yeah.
      It was fun.

what stood out to me most was how well the beys were animated and drawn. Instead of being a blurry mess when they're spinning (og Beyblade series), the Metal saga took care to actually show the parts of the bey while spinning accurate. For e.g in 0:47 you can make out the Storm Pegasus' 105 RF, Flame Sagittario's C145S.
Even the powers of the beys were actually explained and that power represented the irl bey's characteristics in some way or the other, instead of just saying "magical bit-beast power". For e.g you can explain Meteo L-Drago LW105LF's "energy stealing" capabilities by the fact the the irl bey actually had rubber, to "spin-steal" from the opponent's generally right spin bey.
Details like these really really stood out to me.

    • @etrnl_t
      @etrnl_t Před 6 měsíci +5

@@FujitoraX In my humble opinion, Valt was nowhere near as good as Gingka (In my opinion). As for Tyson, I can't say because I haven't finished Bakuten Shoot.
However, I feel it's necessary to point out that the characters of Valt and Gingka were doing two different things. Gingka was the strong, Gary-Stu character, and a product of the late 2000s, meant to be strong and inspiring, with strong morals and a good sense of righteousness and the power to back it up.
Meanwhile, Valt was meant to be more childish, and more grounded. The character of Valt is meant to have a journey to strength more easily followed, who works hard to gradually improve as time goes on. While he does start off as annoying, he grows on you and changes those around him because his cheerful and childish nature is so contagious. He matures over time, and when he gets serious, he can accomplish great things.
You can't really aptly compare the two. While Valt's development is superior, as Gingka is more of a static character, Gingka's raw determination and strong morals make him more inspiring, at least in my opinion.
Again, that's just my opinion, and as for Tyson, I don't really know, and therefore, I won't say. Feel free to have your own opinion, and I will not judge you for it. I like both Gingka and Valt, mostly because the other Burst MCs are mid (Aiga barely clears).

@@etrnl_t I actually disagree with the notion that Gingka was a Gary-Stu character, because we see that he has flaws throughout each 3 of the series. After losing to Ryuga in the Fusion series, Gingka runs away near Hyoma Village. There are also multiple montages of him training, showing that he has to work for the power he gains. The definition of a Gary-Stu is a boring male protagonist that has no flaws and always overpowers his opponent easily without working for it or breaking a sweat. Think about it, all of the major battles Gingka has been in, he's always had to try his absolute hardest to win them, ie; Gingka vs Nemesis, etc. While I agree that Gingka has plot armour cause he's the protagonist of the show, calling him a Gary-Stu is a reach.

I understand why it's the case with the burst mechanic. But I think it really cheapened the duel because each round was forgettable. Like they had to artificially increase the tension by making them stay on a draw for several rounds just to come close to the intensity of the metal saga fights. Metal saga was wacky but the big fights were really intense and it really made you feel like those extremely skilled people were giving their whole to win

Unfortunatelly Beyblade X animation is a little bit rushed because untill now, Beyblade X manga still on going at chapter 6. This December should released 7th chapter. And the problem is, new manga chapter released once in a month and anime is once in a week. There's big chance will be a lot of filler at BBX. I suggested you read the manga too because the original story is at the manga. But still, BBX storyline is very good. Bird's determination to reach the peak and Kurosu X's wish to have proper battle with Chrome. Can't wait how the story unfold.

The Hell of Kerbecs is a form of the bey's ability and is not an absolute indicator of strength, moreover, a similar change of space was already in the 1st season with Thermal Pisces.

Metal saga is one of the first anime that use japanese original soundtrack as well as having a serious story and have a relatable protagonist. That's only the beginning.

Yu was my favorite character and libra. He was annoying most of the time but in the fist season he was op but got nerfed pretty hard after unfortunately. I just love how dumb he is but how smart he can be in battle

in south america shaman king, digimon and medabots were insanenly popular, and not underated at all, we even had collective card albums that were sold for each of those (at least in chile). but yeah, those beyblade and pokemon were amazing.

Rayuga carried this whole Bayblade series. GOAT Character.
Although, for me, the best Bayblade is the classic one (Bayblade G revolution), and my favorite Character is Tysaon and his Bayblade Draigun

I remember when metal saga was kn Netflix. I always wanted to watch it but i had to share screen time with brothers since obly the computer had Netflix at the time. I only ever watched like a few episodes but i wish i could watch the whole thing. It was pretty cool even though i only ever owned like two of the older beyblades before they went to burst. I had some burst at some point but i don't know where they are anymore.

Ya really gotta talk about the OG Anime sometime: Beyblade 2000 (aka Bakuten Shoot), Beyblade V-Force, and Beyblade G-Revolution
Both the Dub and Sub are pristine in quality and have their highlights

The old beyblade is good asf the plastic generation is the reason why there’s multiple beyblade series
