I really do like this car, I just cannot get past the CVT transmission. I recently bought a '23 Buick Envision AWD, but would have preferred to go with a Subaru if not for the transmission. I imagine the AWD is significantly more robust in the Forester than my Buick. Is there any chance for a turbocharged version of the Forester with an automatic gearbox in the future, I wonder, like an XT Forester, maybe? Great review and a nice car.
Had to get rid of my 22 forester wilderness edition. Camera sensors gone haywire. Hard breaked me on the freeway and hard breaks me frequently when reversing out. My dream car had to go. Anyone else have camera issues with their subaru?
@@tails300 ya I'd have to disagree with them on that lol. There's literally nothing in my way and it still breaks me. When I was on the freeway it gave me a warning sign saying I was too close to a car and then hard breaked I had to try to pull over and restart my car to continue driving. Also my window power wouldn't work and my radio would go on and off when it wanted too. Also I had the stop start function turned off and it would turn back on randomly. I've heard from other subaru drivers and even a member of the board saying they need to recall it but im not gonna continue to risk my life while they decide on a recall. I hate how much technology is in these new cars especially if the tech is unreliable.
The biggest disappointment. The car looks old as soon as you open the door. The old guages the slow infotainment screen. The lack of horsepower i dont see why anyone would buy this. The price increase. Subaru you did your customers wrong. Subaru does have tje best awd system but it dont snow much anymore in my neck of the woods. So buying a old looking car just dont make any sense to me
Unless it is a Mazda, won't most SUVs look like a box? The CRV was a bit different, yet nowadays, back to a box. The Ford Explorer was styles as a Range Rover, thus when Subaru does their copy, maybe they reach back a few years to the Range Rover as well? They are all a styled box.

The rear seats do recline. There is a nylon strap at your hip area and you just pull it to adjust.
That powertrain is behind the times. I can't imagine buying one of these in 2024 over some of the competition. This isn't 2015 anymore.

I’ve heard of those things happening more often than you’d think. Subaru touts it as one of the best drive assistance systems but idk 🤷🏽♂️.
