I feel better seeing jim "let it out" most men die with some secrets and life events. I learned a lot when i first went to therapy. I somehow was able to "let it out" with a stranger. Now i feel better knowing it actually works.
He never mentioned his time working at Front Sight, which was were I got to know him. He worked there for years and was doing electrical work too. He was fun to work a range with. That is why he still using the modified weaver stance.
@@IRACK-mq6tf I never knew Jim to lead one astray with his “contractor work”. Nothing wrong with being an electrician. Yes. Front sight’s owner was a wacko, but there were some good gun loving guys that worked there. I enjoyed my time as an instructor there. Especially when I got paid on time. Owner was a crook. I always liked Jim. I have nothing negative to say and I am happy for his success.
When I met Jim 7 years ago at RD I was there for SHOT and also arranged to stop by RD. Even though Jim was quite busy he took the time to show me around and even took me out for a burger and gave me a tour of the Strip as I had never been to Vegas. RD's Open House was a blast and I even spotted Travis when he stopped by. I didn't know of Jim's background and what brought him to this point in his life. Both men are passionate and humble. I understand the importance of the process of letting go in order to let in. It is painful however necessary to grow. The doors will open if you do. Thank you both Travis and Jim.
Jim Fuller is one of the main reasons i’m so into AK’s . Jim Fuller the godfather of the American AK . A great American 🇺🇸 a great Patriot. A fantastic human being. We need more like him.
This is a prime example of where a man can have the utmost affinity and respect for another man they’ve never met. I’ve always liked this guy for his knowledge and expertise and it’s awesome to get to know his story and what he’s made of. Love ya Jim Fuller
Two of the most badass men on the planet pouring their hearts out and tearing up. This is what I’m here for. The soul connection. Thanks Haley. And thank you Mr. Fuller for your contribution to this planet.
I love that a man as raw as Jim Fuller is, can cry, and it’s ok. He’s not getting emotional about some bull shit and throwing a tantrum. He experienced some horrific, life changing things, and is not afraid to express his feelings.
I can relate to a lot of things he has said and gone through. Raised by a single parent as my mother died when I was 11 months old. Most of my friends I grew up with are dead. Served in the military in the late 70's and early 80's and no one liked us at the local watering hole because we were in the military
Met Jim back in 2019, wonderful human being. Treated me like he knew me for years, he even remembered my name from our limited conversations on FaceBook.
Jim you are truly an authentic and genuine human being. Great podcast with you and Travis. Thank you for sharing this with us. Both men of quality and integrity and I’m glad I had the pleasure of meeting you both! Respect ✊🏼
These podcast get better and better. I was super late to understanding the ak platform and I've watched almost everything I can that Mr. Fuller has put out. He has always been nice despite me asking multiple questions to really understand something that I was missing and I am truly grateful for that. Many of his stories in this podcast hit home for me as I'm sure it will for many others. Thank you both for sharing and being a positive light.
I think this podcast will stick around for a long time. I think even for some may be one that people listen to more than once. God Bless you both, Jim and Travis.
Listening to jim has gotten me into aks I probably will never be able to afford a fuller ak but he inspired me to just leave my ars in the safe and feel nothing about them
The fact that at the time of watching this only has 37k views is very sad to me, Jim is a fucking legend and it was neat to get some insight into him and his past. For sure need one of his AK's in my armory
Man this podcast hit hard. Jim has played a big role in the way I defend myself and my family and his stories hit hard here. I'm really excited to read the book and hope I can get hands onto the new project. Dude is a legend and an inspiration
I tuned in for the gun angle, first your son and then a personal fave and AK guru, Jim. I then checked my man card and saw a rawness in both that was a gut check and precisely what is needed. Thanks Travis and the early role you played in shaping my view of gun culture, skills and now reinforcing what being a man encompasses.
I love this so much. I never knew Mr. Fuller could be so vulnerable. I disagree with some of his Instagram rants, but wow, this episode was a treat. Thank you so much to you both for being open with your stories and your emotions.
Mr. Fuller is one of the most humble and cool guys I have ever gotten the honor of talking to and hearing from him where his interest in AK's began and now knowing how he experienced all of this stuff and was humbled by it just shows how great of a guy he is. Keep up the good work guys.
What an amazing episode. Jim is a legend. It's absolutely astonishing the environment that Travis creates that absolutely gets to the truth and resolution of trauma.
oooooff,,, these two men have found a lot of answers regarding purpose and priority. Much deeper than the norm here, geesh the impact these two have on soooo much in not only the firearms industry but in LIFE as well. I know that Jim Fuller and Travis Hayley are positively impacting alot of peoples lives around the world and I am looking forward to what is to come with this venture with Fuller Phoenix!! You better believe it’ll be nothing less than stellar! 🙌🏻 Great show men 👍🏻
Wow! This podcast grabbed me hard. Fortunately most of us will never experience violence because of the sacrifices of Travis Haley and others in the military and law enforcement. Jim's emotional story of being put in a life changing situation explains a lot, if not all, about his passion for the AK platform. I am a recent customer, now owing a beautiful 1968 Izhmash AKM. Eventually, I would love to attend a build class and train with these gentlemen. I look forward to more of "The Bridge".
Won't even try and deny, seeing Jim Fuller cry and lay his own emotional vulnerability and past experiences out on the table for all to see, made my own eyes water a bit. Disregarding everything hes done for the AK platform and his mechanical prowess, dude is straight up just a gem of a person we've been blessed with.
Watching two great friends vent and talk about these kinds of things is really important for people to see. This kind of openness is what we should all strive for. On the other hand. You should rename this episode to “Two old dudes cry together for an hour and a half”
I really appreciate you both for this conversation, it resonated greatly with me. Seeing Jim vulnerable I think really shows the magnitude of this show and the environment you create for your guest to open up and let it all out, even stuff they never thought they would. From a fellow nonsocial savy guitar player turned gun nut, thanks for your story Jim.
What a fantastic podcast, and seeing Jim open up is one of the most wholesome things I’ve seen in a while. Although I really need to schedule a build real soon. I have procrastinated for too long.
Mr Fuller, God bless you sir. Wow. What a fascinating life you have lived. You build amazing rifles and someday I would LOVE to own one, and care for it. Your passion and love just pours into every rifle, and that FACT doesn't go unnoticed. Thank you for that, always. Gentlemen, great and amazing conversation. Thx, a Billion times over!!!
Listened to this on another platform and wanted to come by to express my appreciation for Jim and the fact he was willing to be so open about his experiences. He talked about some hard shit, and even before he got to the stuff that clearly left the deepest cuts you could tell he was recounting some emotional times in his life. I hope to some day live where I can buy an AK, I'm not an AR or an AK guy at the end of the day.
Love you Jim Fuller. I have admired you since the first time I saw one of the videos you were in. ALWAYS enjoy listening to you and I truly feel you have changed my life with your prospective
My 501 came out of Jim’s shop in 2014. It’s hands down the best lead thrower I own. Can’t wait to see what comes out later this year. Thanks for opening yourself up, Jim. You’re truly the best.
Seems like this was an incredible outlet for Jim to let some things out - no doubt a cathartic release for some of us viewers as well. Thanks to you both for spending the time and sharing these moments with the rest of us.
Mr. Haley, your insight and compassion are on full display in this podcast! Kudos to you for providing 'just' the right mix of emotional intelligence, validation, and pragmatism. Very impressive! This makes me even MORE hyped to (hopefully) learn from you in the future!
I’ve never gotten to see Jim in this light and it’s absolutely fantastic to hear these stories. I’m also intensely excited to see this new rifle he’s dropping.
one of the few videos I have watched that I felt was disrespectful not to watch. What an amazing dynamic between Travis and Jim, You are both angels within our society , full of great knowledge and experience .
It is like this guy is a mirror image of my life except being a gun industry legend. The rest was pretty close to my life. I related so much to this man...such a great interview. Travis is a hardcore interviewer. He does pull any punches either. He goes for it. Loved this interview. Great job guys!
I remember just outside the Main Gate at NAS North Island 1973, the sign read "DOGS AND SAILORS KEEP OFF GRASS!" I was more of a Ringo Starr fan than just The Beatles. I've got to get me an AK while I can still shoot! I was around them for many years, but they never did interest me until now, probably because they cost too much. Thanks, Peace and Blessings Jim and Travis!
If there’s anyone that I could meet it would be Mr. Fuller. I hope one day I get the chance to meet this industry legend and take one of his builders classes. Whether it’s AKs or just life stories I love listening to anything Jim puts out. Maybe a builders class with Jim and training afterwards at Haley strategic? 🤔
As Mike Jones' father, I'm rather disappointed you only have 68 people running around their. Please hire one more sir. On a serious note, this was a beautiful episode and loved seeing the both of you be vulnerable yet in your element. Huge love 💓
Amazing interview. Jim opened up about his past was increble and I deeply apprciate that. Travis is an amazing host and interviewer so shout out to that. Re: how Travis mentioned AK will becoming 10x more popular again, I completely agree with him as we are seeing more at more trickerd out AKs down range at Ukraine...
