Plz do more and talk about how your nails looked after you removed the poly gel. Were there any changes? Did your natural nails have any breakage, weakness, or brittleness. Did wearing the poly gel make your natural nails stronger? How long do they last?
It's been a while, but if I'm remembering correctly, my nails weren't too damaged after wearing polygel for a while. As long as you remove them properly your nails should be fine... you just have to be patient, it can take a while. I would file off as much as I could and then soak with acetone, making sure to use nail oil to keep them hydrated after using that stuff. Since I want to get back into this again I may invest in an electric nail file.

I use my hands a lot when I create stuff, so long nails aren’t really good for me, but. I would really like to try something like that sometime!

This looks more natural than other fake nails. Is it possible to do a French manicure where the white part is under the clear gel? I hate paying for a mani and then the white tips chip or smudge. Also is it smelly when working with it?
I'm sure you can! There are probably tutorials on how to do that look here on youtube I would imagine! It can be a bit smelly if I'm remembering correctly, but not as bad as acrylics I think.
