I'm a little disappointed the Skarsgård family wasn't mentioned.
I don't think a lot of people realise that Stellan Skarsgård has eight children, four of whom are actors.
Stellan Skarsgård is known for playing Bootstrap Bill in PotC and Erik Selvig in the MCU.
His children include Alexander from True Blood and Tarzan, Bill from IT and Hemlock Grove and Gustaf from Vikings.
Valter isn't very well known yet, but will most likely follow in his family's footsteps.
Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen may be related to each other, but who knows for sure?!?

yea eric is older than julia and their other sisters lisa and nancy were in the middle of their rivalry as actors. but instead of been known as eric's daughter, emma is known as julia's famous niece via her brother's previous relationship w/ emma's mother. it was only until mayb 15yrs ago now since eric&julia reconciled bc back then she told emma's mother kelly to keep emma w/ her and not him, since back then he was doing drugs and it was right b4 he met eliza. its still interesting to know. on his twitter he has eliza/keaton but no mention of emma been his daughter. that shows you something. he may be her father, but deep down... i like to think as much as eric&julia made up, i dont think eric&emma have. ive never seen them together, ive only seen emma w/ julia. strange

Your mom's 1st cousin is your 1st cousin once removed. Their child is your 2nd cousin. So Al and Lenny would be 2nd cousins. The "removed" is related to the shared grandparent; 1st cousins = share a grandparent. 1st cousin once removed = that person's grandparent is the other's great-grandparent. 2nd cousins share the same great-grandparent.

Not only that, I just googled them, and they say their grandparents were cousins, not their parents. That would make them third cousins. And that's even assuming that when they say "our grandparents were cousins," that they mean they were first cousins. They don't actually specify. If their grandparents were 2nd cousins, for instance, they would be fourth cousins. And even THAT is assuming perfect generational line-up, which based on their age difference, isn't likely. Lenny and Al could be 1st cousins twice removed, 2nd cousins once removed, 3rd cousins, who knows.

For anyone else wondering how all of this works, the type of cousin someone is depends on how many generations away they are from a shared ancestor. If you share a grandparent, you are cousins. If you share a great grandparent, you are second cousins. Your cousin's child is your first cousin once removed, your cousin's grandchild is your second cousin once removed. "Removed" is multiplied by how many generations there are between you and that cousin.
Age doesn't really have much to do with it. My first cousin is 12 years older than me, she had a son when I was 8, so I'm closer in age to him than to her, even though he's my first cousin once removed. When I have kids, he will be over 20 years older than them. So he and my kids will be second cousins, but with a 20+ age gap.
