  • Gifted is often a word we hear in school. Typically we associate these people as the kids that receive straight A’s, but this isn’t always the case. There are many individuals who possess amazing capabilities that go unnoticed, which includes spiritually gifted people and creative people. These people have the same unique abilities and challenges as other gifted people but may slip through the cracks due to their differences in other areas. Watch this video to better explore the topic of giftedness.

      Believe me or not today I had a spelling bee contents and like the judges were our English teachers actually there are two teachers and then the one teaching us is the speller and the other is the corrector and like I spelled the word curriculum and he said"you're incorrect and I was like what why I am correct and after a lot of negotiations they decided to give me another word and the word was jeopardize and I spelled it correctly and then I was asked for the word deliberate and I was correct but he said I'm incorrect and like I was really mad but I didn't say anything and just went back and cried to my mom bc I was in the top 5 so I just wanted to say the teacher that doesn't teach me was just thinking of hurting me or something else but like one day my know actual intelligence will be out and I will pass on everything and my lord will decide on my future

      Yup, over the years I have slowly gained more confidence to speak up in class so I relate more to the video. But truth is, I always have to think to myself amd reassure that I wasn't able to figure out my question by my own, as well as repeatedly tell myself to ask it until I get the guts and just say it out loud. Or I just ask the teacher when the class ends, if it's possible and I haven't been defeated by the "it's too late" "you're bothering the teacher" etc. As much as asking in class sounds like a real enemy and I'd be much better just staying quiet, my curiosity and having that one specific question not answered will bother me every time I think of that topic, so if I don't ask, I suffer more than just keeping it to myself lmao.

    Accurate!! I was "diagnosed" when I was 6 and only understood much later how it impacted the way I think, reason, feel, and react. I'm still struggling to grasp it at times.
    Also, while "being gifted" may sound like an advantage to many people, there are also many, MANY downsides - you're often feeling inadequate or misunderstood, overthinking basically everything to the point of anxiety...

    • @ranpan0801

      EXACTLY!! I was put into a gifted class in school when I was 7, all by myself, and everyone thought it was the coolest thing ever, including me. But as I got older, people sort of forgot that I was gifted, and since that was apparently the only reason they liked me, they forgot about me in general. And ironically, even my gifted class nowadays STILL isn’t enough for me, and I’m starting to get that maybe no one will ever really understand the person I am

    • @scyfinn7866

      Same here! My brain pulled a "fun" little trick where every time I did well, it was only because I was gifted, but if I did poorly (according to my perfectionism so sometimes a B+ was "doing poorly"), it was because I was a waste of space and a horrible person. I just finished my freshman year in college and have only recently admitted to myself that this was a problem...

      Oh I couldn’t agree more. My childhood and teenage years were a very dark time for me because I was never in a school environment that accepted and supported my giftedness. Even the opposite, I was often seen as annoying or obstreperous.
      Where I live, gifted people are often seen as super geniuses and face high expectations, completely leaving out all the other factors that come with your giftedness such as your high likeliness to be an HSP or on the spectrum.
      To this day, only few people know that I have an IQ that scores as gifted because I feel like I will have to “prove” my giftedness in forms of academic or professional success.
      Even though it was a struggle in my teenage years, leaving me with depressive episodes and anxiety that I’m only overcoming in my 20s now, I’m still forever thankful for my giftedness as it gives me this amazing ability to see the world both very detailed and in the bigger picture, making colors more intense and feelings a lot deeper and more raw.
      I don’t like the word “gifted” though. It’s too easily associated with the childhood prodigies and the Albert Einsteins of this word.
      We’re not neurotypicals that can always perform over average academically. We are not even neurotypical. Our brains are simply wired differently.

      @@infjelphabasupporter8416 I mean that it's not a person's problem if parents or siblings don't like to acknowledge it... yes, it will hurt. But that's their problem. They're reacting to an external stressor that they see because of their inner struggle, and the person needs to leave them be in order to feel better with itself.
      Example: a gifted child with overly oppressive parents that criticize him every day. That's the parents' problem, if they need their child to strain himself and suffer in order to feel fullfilled with what they couldn't accomplish before, when they were younger. When people don't want to acknowledge someone different that them, they tend to put a lot of pressure on that person so they can feel better with themselves.

    I've been diagnosed as a gifted person when I was 5 and experts consider that my IQ is around 150.
    All of this is 100% accurate, you basically described my daily life.
    There are 2 more things I'd like to talk about:
    - The 1st one is restlessness. Did you know that 35% of gifted people deal with insomnia? Most of the time you can go to sleep only when you're mentally exhausted. Physical exhaustion alone is not enough, since you can't stop thinking about ideas and concepts. Also, most of them need less sleep time than average people (For example I only need 5-6 hours of sleep, but I can be efficient enough for a week or two with only 2-3 hours of sleep every night)
    - The second one is the lack of confidence in your own abilities. Most of gifted people tend to underestimate themselves and always doubt about their knowledge. That way they're easily influenced by people's thoughts about a specific subject, even if the gifted person was actually right since the beginning.
    Otherwise, I'll be honest this is one of the first video about the topic that I've seen that's this accurate. You're really amazing, and thank you for everything you're doing ❤️ Love from France!

    I have a birthmark
    whatever I do, I can't get fatter. I'm always skinny
    I typed without looking at the keyboard when I was around 5
    There’s people saying that this might be fake and is not gifted, i said I think...

      I like this..I can remember before I was two years old an remember quite a bit from my childhood. I was born on Friday the 13th and have AB blood and an extra vertebrae in my back. But I haven't written the book I have always wanted to write. So it's all for nothing.

      @ Jenny Van...I doubt accidents of birth or genetics have a great deal to do with being gifted. I am nearly 70 and fat. I also fit everyone of these criteria. Acceptance of these 'gifts' make for a rich life, unlike external values of being skinny or born in a leap year. The childhood typing was pretty impressive though.

Imagine knowing if you put time and some efforts to something, you will be good at it but your brain won't listen at all. Guilt, shame, anxiety and depression swept me off my feet. Got diagnosed 2 months back and all of it started to make sense. Getting better now.

In the past years of my childhood I thought I was just crazy doing things that normal kids haven’t tried. Then when I started my working years, I thought was really different from others and can never be the same. We’ll, as I grew older having lot’s of ideas and creativity are more important for me regardless what others think of. I’ve realised that being passionate about something can lead your to goals and maybe someday they’ll understand who you really are.

      Well... You should see a therapist. Imaginary friends in children are common cause they have a way more active imagination than adults and teenagers, but if you're experiencing that in your age, could be early signs of schizophrenia, which fortunately is completely treatable:)

      You are more than likely a gifted intuitive, or as people call it, psychic/medium.
      I offer this alternative viewpoint because it is an area I am very interested in myself. Channels I highly recommend- Channelling Erik, Supermoon tarot and Jenuine healing.
      Please do not think there is anything "wrong" with you.
      It is a sign of a very close connection to the universe.
      Children often have imaginary friends, as they are able to perceive beyond the realms of "normality".
      As we "grow up" it is grown out of us. We all have psychic gifts and intuition, yours are just very strong.
      Honestly, this is a sign you are a very intuitive, sensitive special person.

    • @erensrightnut
      @erensrightnut Před 3 lety +1

      @@Christina.N. it depends on what you actually see after your childhood is over. Please do not mix these things. Intuition and psychic abilities do exist (i experience premonitory dreams and always have), but telling someone that having imaginary friends when it is something exclusive to children is ok it's wrong. This girl could really be in the early stages of schizophrenia and in need of serious help. Please, PLEASE don't misinform people.

    • @erensrightnut
      @erensrightnut Před 3 lety

      @@Christina.N. and let me make the distinction between being in tune with the universe and imagination. Children create these beings out of their own imagination; the ones that have psychic abilities do not.
      It is not normal for someone to refer to the identities and beings of other astral plains as imaginary friends, they go their lengths to ensure us they are not imaginary and to refer to them as such is disrespectful towards them.

    • @Christina.N.
      @Christina.N. Před 3 lety

      @@erensrightnut People experience spirit in many, many different ways.
      The way you experience intuition is not the only way.
      It is highly likely the original commenter is not aware of their psychic abilities and that is how spirit is presenting themselves as it is comfortable and reassuring for them.
      Having imaginary friends is not exclusive to children just more common and accepted.
      You are diagnosing this person with mental illness, treating them as a problem to be solved with therapy or medication which might come from a place of concern but it's not really your place to do so.
      Spirit guides, angels, beings of love and light, do not feel disrespected by human behaviour.
      They are capable of divine, compassion, love and forgiveness.

    There’s no way by itself to describe who is gifted and who is not. It is basically defining intelligence. So normally schools leave it to the simplest of simplest form, if you learn fast or not. Specific skills makes you ‘gifted’ in that specific field. Not because you know math you will be a good accountant.

      Actually that happened to me lmao. I don't know if that might be a common case, but I never felt gifted, smart or anything like that, my grades were average and no one told me that I was outstandingly smart. That was, until in 11th grade of high school I got an iq test and resulted in being gifted. I did actually see it coming that year because I became very curious about all the stuff we were being taught in class and I understood everything very quickly, which is something that if it had happened before, I never noticed. I'm not saying that you should have hope to get that paper telling you that, because at the end of the day, what matters and has more credit is the effort you put into things and not your capacities.

    Beautifully timed slap there at the end. So, "you're gifted", simply means you have "issues", but you express yours through creative and constructive ways, unlike, the rest of the autobots, who mimic what they see on TV, and ask zero questions about anything; "...brainless consumers who fatten our pockets. You, however, have issues...we can't seem to "program" you. Even as a child, our "applications" didn't take." Yup, sounds about right.
