This podcast should get more attention then it does! Spade and Carvey are hilarious and they pull in great guests. Love you guys!!!
As an avid gamer (and someone who shittily dabbled in skating as a kid), Tony Hawk skateboarding games will forever be remembered as one of the greatest video game franchises of all time. Up there with Mario and Zelda.
8:54 Alright! Tony finally got a complete sentence in!
Hahahahahaha I couldn’t take it anymore I turned it off
if there was ever a man who embodied what a hawk should look like in human form, it is Tony. Absolute American icon.
David’s story breaking his wrists never gets old, sorry David 😂❤😂
I’ve been skating for nearly 40 years and it’s so rad that Hawk has been a part of skating the entire way. The dude is 100% skateboarder. I’m digging the show, Dana and David are great together👍🏻
MARTY MCFLY INVENTED SKATEBOARDING IN 1955!!
Awe I never would have guessed David Spade loves little House on the prairie!
❤ I love that show!
Dana nearly made it an hour before the Lorne Michaels impersonation.
Love the pod. Listened to about 20 of them. I know your aware of talking over each other. Dana needs a lot of work on that. Really spoils it for me at some parts as i cant understand anyone when everyone is talking. Dana, please work on this. Spudsy has gotten better over time. Thanks for beimg you and the great pod. Love it!
Dana (whom I love) definitely has this issue. His ADD comes across strongly.
Great interview. Fun to listen to you guys cut up
It’s cool to hear that David skated as a young man. As someone in their thirties that doesn’t, anymore, I always get excited when I find that kind of kinship.
You should start skating again, don’t take it seriously just play on curbs and mini ramps or something. Reconnect with it.
I love this pod! Dana if you see this I'm from Kalispell MT!! You are a home grown hero bubba, we love you!! Spade!!...bye bye. Kidding love you to death thanks for the laughs and space peanuts! Go griz!!
Awesome podcast
Great episode!
Love the show guys
Spade should've asked Tony about the time he met and hung out with Norm.
Spade’s skate park story is so typical of families with lots of boys in them 😂 I had so many experiences like this growing up as the middle boy of five
Way to release the podcast in the middle of the night guys. Really gets the algorithm going.
People are so dumb. Love these guys. Have listened to many of their pods at least twice
Every now and then Tony sounds like Garth to me! Love the pod
If this has already been said then I apologize but I just had this realization that Mike Myers' character of Dr. Evil in all the Austin Powers movies talks as if he's imitating Lorne Michaels
Tony Hawk has worked so hard, and has truly earned his great success. I'm curious about his philanthropy, though - When he was talking about finally getting a video game deal, and they asked him if he gave they first guy that helped him shop a video deal), anything, Tony said he felt sorry for him. So I guess his idea of philanthropy is the ability to have sympathy for the guy? Surely giving him a little something-something would be nice.
CANT WAIT TO SEE YOU LIVE IN LOUISIANA DANA!! MY FAVORITE COMEDIAN OF ALL TIME!!
Darryl Hammond said Hammond has his own podcast
Really love this episode, wanna just trauma dump about being a skateboarder at the time it was very not cool hahaha, but will hold back. Tony Hawk is the man, changed pop culture so much in a way that was actually pretty casual, just such a rad dude
Wish this had a video, could show vid clips.
First here. Tonys the man ❤️
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
1:09:47
Why no video?! The 3 of you sound nearly identical. It's not that hard.
Tony Alva was the shit when I skated
Have a few Kids in the Hall on.
#ToneHop rides again. They're all great but this episode had a strange magic. Caw, caw
Tony is punk rock. He comes from a subculture of community.
Standup isn’t like that. Not the same. Stand up comics can be punk rock, but I’m not sure what kind of community exists for the weird hybrid of drama major, misfit, salesman, storyteller, musician, showman, vaudeville performer, perfectionist, sociologist, competitive eater, intuit and entertainer that is a stand up comic.
Granted , I’m not a stand up comic, but I have heard of Lorne Michaels so I look forward to guesting on your show.
My sons are this you speak of
Authentic
Punk real
Skaters
Ones a stand up
Both are friends of the show.
Skating is the ultra coolest subculture of real humans
I’ve enjoyed watching from the sidelines
make it a video podcast and i will watch it. too many other podcasts with video to choose from so i will just skip these until you upload videos
I’m sure you’ll be missed
It would be more endearing if Dana’s sons, who’s are mentioned a dozen times this episode, were children and not grown ass men.
Huh?
Well being he was mentioning their youth I don’t see what’s the problem goofy
Hawk vs Wolf! Check it out, love Ellis and Tony's banter
You know what.... and this is going to sound weird, but this guy sounds an awful lot like Tony Hawk.
Dana definitely sounds like he should've been a skateboarder
Love you guys but it would be nice to hear Tony, stop talking over your guests, please.
Lame show
Tony hawk the first man to do a 900 after Tas papas
Stop putting words in Papa's mouth. He said he was prevented from entering the competition (where he thinks he would've done it). He never claimed to do the 900 before Tony.
However it was more likely he simply didn't qualify. He kept trying to land the 900 without doing anything else, which means he naturally didn't make the cut.
@NukeSony1997 That's what I said:
"He kept trying to land the 900 without doing anything else".
Do you even have basic reading comprehension?
This is what I live for
@@demitasse22 good On you.
I always loved in line skating and would take little jumps on the sidewalk but never any major stunts- I totally admire those who can do the extreme tricks
😏🤫😎
Trick boarding at 54 dayam what a hero 🦸
I had my first 4H steer when I was 14. I trained him so well I would let my younger sister ride him when we walked for exercise. I would put the lead rope in my back pocket and he would walk along like a big dog. We were walking up and down sections of the mesa and my older sister was behind me with her steer, she didn’t have as much control. Her steer spooked from something which spooked mine and dragged my ass down the mesa until my pocket tore off. I was completely conscious thinking “I have zero control over my life, I’m completely at the mercy of this animal.” I didn’t break any bones but I have a nice souvenir on the back my head. I didn’t have to go catch him, he came back to me.
Showing steers was enough of a daring mission, I didn’t want to push my luck 🍀 too much elsewhere
😏🤫😎
Dana, are you playing any Pizza and Pipes , Chuck E Cheese
😏🤫😎
Non-binary Age 😏🤫😎
Always loved you both and you're even funnier together (HOW is that POSSIBLE??)!! I actually reward myself with a "Fly" and have heard most of them, some multiple times! 🪰
