Other things Japan UPGRADED! czcams.com/video/ZHc9Qbg8iVw/video.html
Who wants to see Japanese Spiderman in the next marvel movie???
Spider-Man.
ME!!!
If memory serves, Battle Fever J was supposed to be a live action adaptation of The Avengers. And Japanese Spiderman was acknowledged as canonical in the comics.
I do. Japanese spider man is so awesome 🙂
@佐藤謙二 空気読める 何かまともなことが言えないんなら、初めから何も言うな
American Spider-Man: With great power comes great responsibility.
Japanese Spider-Man: With great firepower comes a great body count.
Japanese Spider-Man sounds more like 'Postal Dude'.
more like this,
American Spider-Man: With great power comes great responsibility.
Japanese Spider-Man: haha.. missile go brrrr.....
🤣🤣🤣💯
American Spider-Man: With great power comes great responsibility.
Japanese Spider-Man: With great climbing skills comes even greater perving ability into high rise building windows housing countless lonely semi clad waifus....
isnt that Texas motto too?
Thank you for talking about Supaidaman, the Emissary from hell.
You're welcome!
Supaidaman kicks ass.
Great video once again Mrs Eats. Another thing that Japan did that upgraded American things was comics. If it wasn't for artists like Goseki Kojima with his work on Lone Wolf & Cub, manga wouldn't have been an influence on artists like Frank Miller who applied the techniques in the comics he drew like the Wolverine miniseries, Daredevil, and Batman. And then those wouldn't have gone on influence artists that came after him
Wow so interesting! I don't know those artist but it's very fun to learn how much manga had influence on American comic!!
Oh, you just depicted how culture works!
Or how Hollywood and Sony like to call it: Piracy if our Intellectual Property!
@@steemlenn8797 except when Frank did it he did it out of a constructive purpose for comics and he had a respect for what came before
That 7-11 story was really interesting! I never knew they were bought out by the Japanese section. I really like 7-11 here lol
Yes! I was surpise how quickly 7-11 could become the #1 covenience store in Japan!!
Yup. My aunt was an accountant for 7-11 and took part in the buy out. She hated it.
@@MrsEats the 7-11s in Japan are so much better. I practically lived on their meals when I was vacationed there.
I love how knowledgeable Mrs Eats is! Every video is a delight to watch! And we even get content about such great animes like Cory in the House!😄😄
Glad you enjoy it! It's Japan's greatest anime!!
Okay, I'm sorry if I'm lost but is this real or just a meme !?
@@MrsEats Great, he is a legend. Bigger legend than Goku and Naruto put together.
When I saw the robot in Japanese Spider-Man I thought “wow that looks like Megazord from Power Rangers” only for you to say the exact same thing a minute later LOL
Also, I love Japanese 7-11! Once you have experienced conbini, there is no other comparison!
Yeah Japan is good at improving things!!
I remember hearing that during the making of the Japanese Spider-Man series someone stole the Leopardon Robot suit and the series had to reuse footage of the robot for the rest of the series because they couldn’t make a new suit because of the cost.
that's completely true. it was stolen about 10 episodes in, so for the rest of the series they had to cut the fights together from existing Leopardon footage. Which, if you watch the series, can be demonstrated because suddenly Leopardon is never onscreen with the giant monster of the week.
Mrs Eats, You're so funny 🤣
Great video. I feel like I learned a little more about Japan 🙂.
Glad you enjoyed!
I'm old enough to remember Atari. 😑
I wasn't sold on Spider-Man until you brought out the mech.
Japan 7-Eleven cannot be compared to the US stores. The Japan stores are fantastic!
Hi Brunette!! I don't remember atari!! I don't think it was so popular in Japan! But famicom was my favorite!! Yes Japanese spiderman is very cool right!! Hahah!! I agree about 7-11! I went to 7-11 in American airport and I was so disappointed with food selections!! Many foods didn't look so delicious! Just like a packed sandwich or salad and mainly snacks and stuff!
American 7-11 stores aren't too bad just it varies store to store. They seem better / have more stuff on the west coast whereas on the east coast you might have one with only regular merchandise or you might walk into one that has pizza, taquitos, nachos, hotdogs (all on a hot rack), 7-11 specific icecream + chips + peanuts (their ghost pepper ones are actually quite spicy).
Japanese Spider-Man is well known in the USA. It aired in the 1980s in the USA and is planned to be in the next Spiderverse animated film.
Currently it’s on Disney+.
Cool!!
The Japanese version of Spider-Man has been making appearances in resent comics of the American Spider-Man, during the whole Spider-verse crossover.
Yeah, convenient stores are a joke here compared to Japan, and as always Mrs. Eats your comedic skill and editing add a lot of charm to your videos haha. I'd love to see a part 2 whether it involves more American products or other countries.
That spiderman no way home edit 🤣🤣🤣
Japanese spiderman is too powerful!
Spider-Man No One goes Home
I've always known about how Japan takes something foreign and improves it thereby making it "their own".
However by now I think it's about damn time Japan took OTHER things from other countries like:
- gender equality and equal pay
- take mental health seriously
- STOP overworking for absolutely no reason
- actually TAKING ALL THEIR PAID LEAVE
- ALLOW DUAL CITIZENSHIP (this alone would greatly improve Japan's economy AND population problems, 一石二鳥)
- and much much much muuuuuuch more but let's start slow (Japan is already famous for that anyway)
Your production value has become so impressive. These videos seriously brighten my day and I'm a jerk 🤣💅
Japan also figured out how to make the German concept of a Rotary engine work.
The Germans came up with the concept but couldn't get it to function, the Japanese did, and created the Mazda RX-7.
The general idea of your statement isn't wrong, but many companies other than Mazda have produced rotary engine vehicles, including German and French manufacturers. The Germans definitely COULD get it to work.
A lot of the early vehicles that used rotary engines were only concept cars, but some made it to production in various European countries during the 70s. They were also used in British Norton motorcycles.
As for Mazda, the RX7 was far from their first rotary vehicle (although it was probably the best). The clue is in the name. The first in the series was the RX1, released in the late 60s. And yes, there is an RX2, RX3 etc.
However, as a former RX8 owner, I will say that Mazda definitely can take the credit for improving the rotary engine more than any other manufacturer. They are the only company who has consistently invested in rotary development for decades.
@@EternalQuestion Does Mazda still use Wankel's? While they are great for performance, they are terrible for reliability. I almost got an RX7 until my mechanic told me what I'd be in store for. Maybe they fixed some issues, but I was told how easy it is to ruin a rotary.
@@tomifost I heard that the Rotary Engine will be used in the Electric Mazda MX-30 as a range extender. 🇯🇵
The research and production quality Mrs Eats does for these videos is phenomenal.
Thank you!!
A 7-11 in a suburb of Tokyo saved my life (exaggeration) w Onigiri. The rice triangles are the needed carbohydrate powerups for energy to keep up w Japanese people on sidewalks, buses, trains, etc...
I really appreciate the contributions Japan has made to the world. Especially the upgrade to videogames!
There's a huge convenience store in Texas you need to see. They're called Buc-ee's (pronounced like "Bucky's"). It's a giant sized convenience store that even has fresh food being prepared, and it's kept extremely clean.
On the east coast there is Wawa (great coffee but apparently they have made their food creation better) however for hot food Sheetz is amazing with their MTO (Made to order) section, fries, walking tacos, burgers, hoagies (subs / heroes for those outside of NJ / Philly area), mac and cheese, etc).
Passed by that massive Buc-ee's and was shocked at the size, apparently the largest in USA or was it world in terms of fuel stations?
I never knew video games went back that far, I've definitely learned something today! Interesting content
Glad you enjoyed!
If you live in the US, there is an arcade Museum in San Francisco called the Musee Mechanic which lets you play all sorts of early video games and even arcade games before they had screens. It’s amazing!
I never knew that the Atari Shock helped make room for the Famicom, but I am so glad it did! Thanks for the info, Mrs. Eats! P.S. Anyone else start to hum the Brief & Trunk's song Konbini whenever they hear Konbini mentioned? コンビニ store!
Maybe I haven't watched enough Mrs. Eats, but this one had me smirking more than a few times. The videogame section especially.
I love watching your videos! You sound kind, and the enthusiasm makes your videos a-lot more appealing to watch over other youtuber's.
これからも頑張ってください!
I really can’t wait to move to Asia! When I do live in South Korea I am so going to visit Japan a lot! And I really need to watch the Japanese spider man!
And also I love your nail polish xD.
Your videos are always so delightful - I love all of the skits! Super fun and now I'm full of knowledge - thanks Mrs. Eats!
I'm glad you talked a bit about Super Sentai, one of my favorite japanese franchises along with Kamen Rider! Greetings from Costa Rica!
In Japan on holiday with my partner. We love watching MrsEats videos !!!!
Japanese Spiderman--even as pop culture was just starting to recognize the US one in the early 70's--is a good example of what I've been saying about Marvel movies: We try to export them, but Japan & China's Asian culture DON'T UNDERSTAND the US idea of lone superheroes in tights: Japan trusts the police, or had masked tokusatsu heroes (hence Spiderman being Kamen Rider with a Megazord), and the idea of flaunting authority to catch criminals by yourself is completely alien to the Chinese state, which is why "Shang-Chi" was such a confused mess.
DevilMan works with the police?
As for the spandex, it was a creative way to get near nudity past conservative politicians. Now that censorship isn't so strict, American comics are moving away from the underwear/body paint look.
My personal analysis of Spider-Man: the timing for the Spider-Man in Japan was not a coincidence, rather it paved the way how the Tokusatsu Hero genre in Japan should do like hyping up, marketing merchandise, etc. Well story writing may be damned, at least you could sell lots of merchs based from the show if audience ratings tanked.
Back to the Spider-Man, he is important in 1 factor. He was introduced as a teenager in any of its iterations, not some grown up man with hulking muscles typical to American Superheroes, because teenagers in a Superhero job is a dumb idea as they where regulated to being side kicks. The late Stan Lee(Main writer of the series) and late Jack Kirby(along with a character designer I forgot) break this status quo because it would reach out much younger demographics and it did eventually despite the first misgivings in its first release from Amazing Fantasy #12 in 1962.
The live action adaptation produced by Toei also give Lee his bersonal Badge of Approval in that series. It's contributions to the Tokusatsu Heroes made by Toei continues to this day.
Y'all fantastic! You are! I am an English language tutor. I like your videos because I get to learn Japanese culture, and I can take those learnings and share them with my Japanese students. Break the ice. Now I am going to back off of the super hero/Marvel comics stuff bc I just don't get it but I think you're great! Cheers!
I still enjoy Power Rangers or as it's known in Japan, Super Sentai! There was a conversation I had with my Japanese friend a few years back about Super Sentai's origins because as I watched it during my childhood, I assumed that Powers Rangers was originally an American series, (despite the fact there were American actors interacting with each other in several scenes such as the Angel Grove High School and local park they frequented, while the majority of stock footage of action scenes (with exception to some) was taken from the Japanese version (from 15th or 16th installment of series?)). At one point into the conversation, and upon me finding out where Power Rangers originated from, I said to my friend from how I remembered it, "Arigatou Japan!!!", and she just laughed, lol! 😆
Thank you Mrs. Eats for this instructional video. I've always wanted to learn how to "Breath heavily in Japanese." This new skill will better my life in so many ways.
This was a really interesting video, thanks for sharing all of this with us!
Great video!!
Great effort. Definitely lots of hard work put in. Impressive.
Okay, that little bit about the converting the small shops into 7-Elevens made me realize that you are absolutely hilarious and not afraid to go Blue for a joke so I have subscribed
Wow this video was very informative 👏🏻
WOW that Corey in the House bit floored me.
"You guys can make any changes to Spider-Man you think are necessary."
"He could drive a giant robot that shoots missiles!"
"...I said necessary."
"And I said giant robot that shoots missiles."
Lady your channel is so good you made a really eye catching content yet your channel is so underrated
Thank you so much!
very high quality video! 🎬
Great facts! Love it!
"Breathes heavily in Japanese" I died laughing!!🤣🤣🤣 Thank you for the new content! Your videos always brighten my day.

Imitation is greatest form of flattery. Of course there is NO imitation for Mrs Eats 😊❤🙏
thanks, Ms. Eats for this video. I actually never knew about this at all. I hope you're having a wonderful friday! 💙

Thank you! You too!
Interesting video and I am very sure there are many more examples.
Thank you for the video and hope you both are doing great :)
Hi John! Glad you enjoyed!!
I've been to some of the convenience stores while I was on vacation in Okinawa and I liked them I thought they where interesting and better than ours much better and I was shocked!!
Japanese convenience store are really good!! What was your favorite thing?
@@MrsEats I've had the egg sandwiches and the chicken wings there and they where sooo good

The Japanese Spiderman is epic. But you should also check out the Italian Spiderman too. You will love it Mrs. Eats
An episode that talked about Video games (especially Capcom games), Japanese Spider-Man, Super Sentai, Power Rangers AND does indeed know that Cory in the House is best anime? Mrs. Eats now has a lifelong fan and subscriber on principle!
An other great video, great acting Mrs.Eats.
Japanese Spiderman is BADASS indeed
Holy moly is that John Stossel in the nuts for nintendo doc? Nice video as always Mr. and Mrs. Eats!
Hello Mrs. Eats. I enjoy all of your videos but this one is by far the best one I really like since you touched a topic of interest to me. Please make more videos about how Japan enhanced other technological breakthroughs from America or locally. I appreciate what Japan has done on video games!!
9:34 Best sketch I've seen in my life so far
Here in America, we do have good video games and there are two mega man games that were only released in America, the names are mega man x collection and mega man anniversary collection
My interest in Japan started around 1990 when we used to go round our Japanese neighbour's house. They had a famicom(different from the grey Western version). We used to play Super Mario Bros or Mike Tysons Punchout. This Christmas I think we will get a Nintendo Switch for our half Japanese son.
I remember back in the early 90s the 7-11 by my grandparents place in Yokohama sold fireworks,it was awesome!
So, by extension, Japanese Spider-Man was the cause of the "It's Morbin' time!" memes.
Also, i'm surprised that nobody commented anything about the (関西弁?)... Nice! And i love the production values of your videos!
One other fun piece of Nintendo history: They originally were a playing card company. And Sega used to make slot machines and jukeboxes
Ok, I definitely enjoyed this video!
Awesome! Thank you!
When I was a very young person in the '80's - having a friend with an Atari or the home-based version of Pong was really cool.
I still have and actually occasionally use my old 8-bit Nintendo console.
I do enjoy your channel.
SEGA originated as: SErvice GAmes and was founded by a former GI and his Japanese wife and her family to provide pinball and pachinko machines to officers' and NCO's clubs in Japan...
Video games gave them a way to expand their business, and they made a good thing out of the new technology.
wiki says Martin Bromley & Richard Stewart were founders of SEGA where does the wife bit come from?
I live in Indonesia and i really enjoyed with Anime, Japanese Games and Tokusatsu.
When i was child, every sunday morning at some station tv in Indonesia they play Anime like Dragonball, Doraemon, Yugioh, one piece etc etc.
About game, i like old game like Suikoden, Resident Evil classics, Tekken etc. Tokusatsu like Ultraman. Yeah, japan so entertainment and i love that.
I soooooo so miss sega consoles. Some of my favorite games were on master system to dreamcast. Nights into dreams, golden axe, columns, sonic, snatcher (anime blade runner AWESOME!!!!), splatterhouse, musha, valise 3, nights into dreams and more.
I might be in america, but when sega closed its largest arcade, I was so sad for the company, the employees, and the customers.
If I ever I could make it to japan, that was going to be one of my main interests to visit.
I'm rambling on so thank you for the great video. You and your husband are awesome! ✌😁
🤣 i love your sense of humor Mrs Eats!
All the Lawson's Convenience stores went out of business in the US in the eighties and I thought those stores were long gone. To my very great surprise I found out that they were alive and well in Japan. They only failed in the US.
I'd definitely be interested in their story and a tour.
Ohayo Mrs eats!!! Thanks for the new video how's Mr eats doing?

It would be so nice to try a Japanese style of 7/11 here, stateside - I think it would be really popular! Thanks for another fun video, Mrs Eats!
(Also, always glad to see Cory in the House recognized as a groundbreaking anime~)
I love 7-11 in Japan and they were everywhere. In fact, right next to the subway entrance by the economy hotel I was staying in at Osaka, if you looked around right off the corner, you could see three of them.
Japanese Spiderman is such a trip. Such a great show

Yeah it's so cool!! You can find full episode on CZcams!!
@@MrsEats thank you! I'm definitely going to watch!
This is awesome!! So many things I wish we had here in the states. Btw, I started to have an interest in sumo. Did you ever make a video on sumo culture and the sport? No joke, i got a craving to watch a tournament, but I'm not 100% sure of what I'm watching.
Cory In The House, Source: Ghibli Studios 😂
New Mrs Eats video! My favorite time of the month 🖤
Spiderman with a gun is just Deadpool 😂
"An emissary from hell" is my new go-to answer to the question who are you.
Yes! Emissary from hell is cooler than friendly neighbohood spiderman!
Mrs. Eats looks so impressed by Japanese Spiderman. I mean, who wouldn't be, looks totally badass.
Great video Mrs Eats! The only thing Japanese 7-Eleven needs are the Slurpee machines from the American stores.
I not sure if anyone mentioned it but I appreciate you showing love for the Anime known as "Corey in the house". Not many Americans are aware of the contribution of that anime to American society 😆
Japanese Spiderman is badass. Can't tell me different. He'll put some dirt in your eye...I mean bullets 💀
Love the Corey in the house anime reference
Japan Spiderman can create it's justice league with Power Rangers!! lol They are totally in the same universe I see hehehe love it, thanks!
Oh good idea!! I thin kit's a cool idea!!
What a cool video. I lobe kaizen. Thank you, Japan, and yes, the whole world needs Japan's genius improvements!🙏🙏👍👍🙌👏
Lawson started in my state of Ohio, but its disappeared stateside in the 1980s. I'm glad it survives in Japan. it uses the same logo and everything.
I hope that Japanese Spiderman gets referenced in a Marvel movie sometime. The second Into the Spiderverse movie would be a great chance to do so.
Yes with machine gun!
And I just learned almost a week ago, that Japan take a Hungarian song (from my country) I never even heard, and they made an anime opening from it.
That No Way Home edit with JP SM just xD
This is probably the closest we will ever get to true live action anime and im here for it.
Mrs Eats you and I are probably the only ones our age who fully understood the Cory in the House joke.
I'm happy she included an ancient meme such as Cory in the house being the best anime😂😂
A point of history...
The submachine gun / machine pistol was originally designed by a German gunsmith, Bergmann, as what became the MP-18 (Maschinenpistole 1918)
Others were working along those lines, but he was the first to market, and his work inspired many later designs.
Japanese Spiderman's machine pistol resembles a modernized version of the German MP-40, in a post-war design.
The American submachine gun designed by Colonel Thompson, known as the "Tommy Gun" is a much bigger, heavier design, and the successor, the M3 "grease gun" is an ugly, but functional machine.
I would love Peter Parker to introduce himself as "An emissary from hell! Spider-man!"
TBH, that's probably more of a Wade Wilson "Sorry I stole your costume and pretended to be an emissary from hell, Spider-Man" move.
Cory in the house is the best anime! 😂 Mr. and Mrs. Eats you're awesome 🤩
I knew that there was a japanese version of spiderman but had no idea that he used actual firearms to kill the bad guys that's Hilarius! ahahah also loved the Filthy Frank reference when talking about Cory in the house! LOL
"BREATHES HEAVILY IN JAPANESE" made me laugh out loud.
You're the funniest Japanese I've ever seen. :D Great video!
Spiderman with machine guns and giant robots , that's American..... Lol 🤣
Didn't know Spiderman was the ranger's ancestors ,til watched this video. Thanks for your valuable info ☺️
7-11's here (U.S.) have no emergency underwear or magazines.
Early American video game makers were dealing with a primitive technology. By the time
the Japanese got involved, technology was starting to improve which allowed for better
video and sound quality.
Later on American games were quite good but the Japanese latched onto some names
that gave them quite a competitive boost. None the less, the Japanese were very effective
competitors.
I LOVE HER ENERGY SO MUCH
