Punjabi genes are more than lactose intolerance. Punjab has faced numerous invasions and they had to constantly fight. Agriculture also plays big part. They have central-south Asian genes. Environment also plays part. Punjabis also engage in manual work and sports more.
Central South Asian genes can't be correct. Most of the punjabis come from India's rajput communities.. Atleast many of the jatts ... read their history

As a Punjabi, i didn't even know k lactose intolerant was a thing. 😂😂. Reminds of this, when i was born my dad bought an extra buffalow so that my mother and i could have extra milk in diet. 2-3 liters of milk a day along with plenty yogurt is considered very normal diet here and on top of that my mother still thinks i don't eat much and have lost weight.😅

I can totally agree with this as a Punjabi. I’m 6’2” and heavily built. I’ve been doing weight lifting since I was 16 years, and I mostly consume a lot of dairy products. I generally take 1-2 litres of milk everyday, along with eggs and chicken. I’m very much lactose tolerant.
That is not the reason kid, all North Indians are like that including Kashmiris and even Himachalis and Haryanvis and its because they are all of Aryan Race meanwhile other Indians are Paje.ets or Mongolians or Dravidians.

This is a fact and I have seen Punjabi and Haryanvi farmers . Their diet and lifestyle is so rich( not wealth wise but diversity) . Their good diet and lifestyle have made them very different and strong than many communities

There's a concept of "Dayadi"(ದಾಯಾದಿ) in south. I don't know the exact hindi word for it.(To give an instance, kuaravas and pandavas were dayadi) It is actually nothing but extended cousins of the family. Upto 7 generations they all are considered as same family.
After 7 generations they become little distant family for next 7 generations.
Then for another 7 generations also considered into far extended family.
Only after 21 generations they are out of the family tree of someone. This is followed in my region even today. Especially whenever there's a death or birth or some family celebration like marraige, house warming, etc. we never miss to inform them and include them as family members itself.

@@anitapadhi325 No gotra is wider term. It tells you your roots to be precise. Even after 21 generations they will be of same gotra. But they're not same family anymore. And people are discouraged from marrying within same gotra anyway. They belonged to same family at one point.

I am from Mithila (Bihar) and we have the exact same custom. We call it "Diyadi" (दियादी) in Maithili. Diyads are people who belong to the same clan as you, Diyads have a common ancestor atleast 7 generations ago, although it could go beyond that as well.

Not just punjabis, Haryanvis as well. I am a haryanvi and although I am only 5’10 I am genetically a great athlete. My profession now is IT and still at 35 when I look at most of my colleagues their physical condition is deteriorating. While I have been in pretty much the same physical condition as I was in my 20s. I can still run fast and have better stamina than them. This is attributed to not just good genes but also good eating habits and not indulging in bad habits like smoking. I believe people of any race can be healthy and lead great long lives if they just stay away from modern medicine for small ailments and stick to ayurveda. Jai hind. Jai Haryana. This is true ! Punjabis have strong digestion genes . I am from UP and lived there for 6 years and I couldn't digest those large Paranthas , Chole , Rajma , Bahutures etc and this is almost their daily breakfast there. Also they juice and Lassi glasses are humongous. They surely have some unique genes that makes them look different from the rest of the Indian people. I think the most lazy , lethargic and weak people come from UP and Bihar 😢
It's also necessity for the weather they live in to stay hydrated. I come from west coast and I was seriously tired in just one day's roaming around in Amritsar during It's peak summer..It's very less humid and high temperature..!! Very hard to adjust in such sort of harsh heat for a person that sweats all the time on the coast. Parathas are otherwise common for people in haryana as well.
I didn't feel much difference due to food but yes I didn't like the amount of ghee and butter they pour in dishes..It's suffocating for me personally to even see it..

Rajputs used to have their own mansions, horse fields and servants, like small sovereign kingdoms. It was Baba Banda Singh Bahadur who gave the ownership of land to the jatts of Punjab and guess what, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur was a sikh rajput.
