Here's an advice on how to search for good Vocaloid music;
Instead of searching "best vocaloid music", try searching their producer/tuner/composer or whatever.
Start with Mitchie M, rerulili, otetsu (if you fancy heavy vocaloid rock) and RYOShareotsuP...
i recommend you to listen to more of ghost's songs, they are my liking for some reason lols

Kikuo's unconventional composition is part of why i love his music so much. The beats and unusual instrumentation all make this really cool soundscape in my headphones and it feels like being transported into another world, if that makes sense lol
I guess what I'm trying to say is kikuo is very atmospheric for me, there's definitely a time and place but I rly vibe w it
I think I read somewhere that his unusual compositions were because he never learned music theory. I think he also said that when he was beginning and wanted to improve he actually asked his music teacher if learning music theory was the way to go for him and the teacher advised him to never learn so he could keep his unique touch

I don't know if anyone has pointed it out yet, but a common misunderstanding about Hated by Life Itself is that it's from Mafumafu. It's not. It's by Kanzaki Iori. Mafumafu's COVER is just the most popular version of it to the point many have started crediting him as the creator when he's not. He wasn't even the original singer lol. I love Mafumafu's vocals but Kanzaki Iori is an insanely good composer that wrote songs with hard hitting lyrics.

I have never heard Reincarnation Apple before this and I easily realized it was PinocchioP. The way Miku is tuned is so iconic.
Don't worry about it taking longer, the video is much longer than usual so I imagine it took awhile to record and edit

I have listened to vocaloid music since I was 14 years old. I'm not joking when I say that vocaloid music has changed my life for the better and saved me in many dire moments. I love electronic vocaloid music, it is totally my jam. But if I were to give a recommendation on some specific songs that I love, it would be the following (not english songs but still recommendations nonetheless):
Otome Dissection by Deco*27, specifically the Teddyloid Allies remix (though the original is a banger too)
Jitterbug by Hachiya Nanashi (this one especially puts me in a good mood)
CH4NGE by Giga
Mirage or Dinner Bell by Harumaki Gohan, both are equally as good as the other
Who? by Azari (short but really good)
Gimme X Gimme by Hachioji-P and Giga

also i know that you said you weren't really sure of the voice in donut hole, so i wanted to let you know that the version you put in the video is actually a cover. the original is with gumi. sometimes if you look up the songs on youtube it'll put a cover at the top of the search results rather than the original. if you look up the songs on the site vocaloid database/vocadb it'll show you the original/official upload of the song on youtube and nico nico douga (which is a japanese video site similar to youtube) and i know fandom wiki is a pain but you can also look up songs on the vocaloid wiki and it'll do the same there as well (although it will bombard you with ads) anyways great video keep it up there honestly aren't a lot of people who do video content about vocaloid so im always glad to see your videos on it 👍

I think I see where you're coming from on lagtrain, but for me there's just something so addicting about it, and the way it pushes forward and pulls back at just the right moments never has me bored, I could probably listen to it forever. There are also a lot of artists that I feel like I always need to listen a few more times until I really like it, but once I do, I REALLY do. Pino-P, Kikuo, and Ghost all usually do that to me, but I think that also applied to lagtrain

not sure if this has been commented yet, but the version of Hated by Life Itself you listened to isn’t actually the original. mafumafu is a popular singer who has covered a lot of vocaloid songs. the original song uses hatsune miku and is written by kanzaki iori!

One of my favorite composers right now is 生まれたくなかったp. It's a very new channel but the songs feel emotional and unusual. The melodies and voices are so cute but often with dark lyrics. I love this contrast. Also, everything (music, images, videos) is done by only one single person which is very impressive too.
For English VOCALOID songs I LOVE Honey I’m Home and Entomologists both by GHOST, and also Propaganda by Crusher, but all of GHOST’s songs are really catchy tbh

To be honest, Kaleidoscope is one of those songs that you can't really appreciate the first 2 listens, it's definitely a dense song both harmonically and compositionally. But i believe that this is a genius thing to do, since Kaleidoscopes do have these very complex patterns that you can't put into words.. listening to this song is the auditory equivalent of looking through one, and I don't blame you for not enjoying it! This is definitely not for everyone, so I understand your placement of it! :)
i can't believe yuyoyuppe wasn't someone's favourite, they were one of my fav composers along side nekobolo, Leia - Remind, Reon - Remind, Misery, Gerbera, Canvas, Palette, You and Beautiful World, Hidamari no Uta, Story of Hope, Yuyoyuppe has so many good songs, especially if you know the lyrics, they used to composed for BABYMETAL too if you know them

the song is basically about a girl named Mene (the purple haired girl) who feels er like, not enough, and says she is normal like meanwhile there is a girl named (idont remember her name, but the blonde girl) and Mene sees she as perfection, as In an abnormal way, thinking it isn't normal to have such perfection and Mene trying to be like her, using the butterflies' metamorphosis to represent her going from "normal" to "abnormal,", you can see her going on a bunch of different stages of mene trying to be like the blonde girl, at some point of Mene falling in "love" or "obsession" with the blonde girl.

i honestly dont know what my favourite vocaloid song is, theres just so many of them that i like, and what i listen to the most changes so..., my favourite Utsu-P song is "Poster Girl's Prank" for sure tho
i highly recommend listening to more of Harumaki Gohan! Melty Land Nightmare is by far his most popular but has so many more amazing songs that are super underrated!
Some of my favs include If I Could Become a Comet, The Third Heart, The Promise, and Dinner Bell!
Poka poka planet is also so heartwarming
Melty land nightmare is one of my favourite songs by my favourite producer, Harumaki Gohan, has made some other really amazing songs, in particular I'd recommend Dinner Bell, Aster, Colbalt Memories, Dreamless Dreams, Golden Ray and his newest song, Zero Talking.
I'm a big fan of Two Faced Lovers but honestly I'm more happy that you liked Utsu-P.

@@ImLJL I don’t even think the cover is bad it’s well made but Kyo is a flawed vocaloid with a weaker voice due to him meant to be used with the other Zola project boys Will and Yu. Plus the original was just beautifully made with such a nice sounding Gumi tuning. I’m glad you liked the original in the end
for english vocaloid, i recommended 4BLOOD and WILDCARD both by KIRA! they do some rlly awesome stuff with vocal synths. 4BLOOD is a Miku song and WILDCARD is a Kasane Teto SymthV song! (synthv is a different singing synthesis program like vocaloid)

Im gonna give ya something that doesn't have a vocaloid but has synthv by Team 6x111 (which GHOST is apart of) in attempt to have ya listen to it. ALSO ENGLISH VOCALOID PRODUCERS!! I'd reccommend "Ladylike" & "Voice" by KIRA, "Better Off Worse" & "Right as Rain" by Circus-P - they're the more well known English producers but I feel like these songs of theirs in particular are underrated (imo).

** another point: I'd advise to react to the original videos of the songs for next time- For example the video you reacted to for Donut Hole was not the original (the original had Miku as the vocal and the mv is different). Just a heads up because I see you giving focus sometimes to how the vocals are tuned in some songs, and the original would be better to judge I think ^^; no worries if you can't find them tho! (some producers removed songs from their channels, some songs are titled in Japanese, etc. It gets confusing orz)

6:18 Why’d you do my boy Manbo-p dirty like that? Yes, it’s not as musically holy shit impressive as other artists, but the songs really are catchy and the most important part of them is how they tell a story. Manbo-p is my favorite vocaloid artist ever, sad that he got one of the worst grades in one of his best songs. It’s a high A or low S for me to be honest.
It’s honestly impressive how you disliked like 90% of the ones I love, and the ones I feel indifferent towards you loved.
Cause im a liar is a good english vocaloid song you could check out. Its a fan song of a series called danganronpa but it doesnt contain any spoilers.

Ok it's not English, it's Spanish, but it's cool imo and the languages share a lot of letters so uh yeah anyway 'Si Lo Puedes Reconocer by Maubox' is my recommendation, I find it very catchy, groovy, and a total headbop.
For an actual English language song using vocaloid, I recommend 'sweet love by Ivnarlii' bc it has a cool beat and also bc I don't think uve heard the vocaloids featured in the song before
