Absolutely love my FN 502 Tactical. Nice trigger pull. Suppressor height iron sights were dead on. No recoil.

Mounting a Holosun 507C on it this weekend. Waiting for my suppressor to be released from ATF jail so it will be even more fun.
Does is cycle reliably with subsonic ammo? I always wanted a Ruger mk4 but when i found out it wont cycle subs, it ruined it for me.
I've been using high velocity and a lot of standard velocity ammo. Haven't been able to track down any lower velocity ammo at this time. When I do find some, I'm looking forward to testing it and seeing how well the 502 functions.

@@pauljung3242 I've been using CCI standard velocity, 1070 fps, with a Rugged Oculus suppressor on my 502 tactical. Zero issues with cycling. Waiting on my brother to send me some Gemtech Subsonic to try.

I just got my first FN pistol(FN 509 Tactical) 2 days ago. Unfortunately one of the tritium vials on the rear might sight was defective but I’ve already sent it in to FN’s service center for replacement. I’m hoping to have it back sometime next week; hopefully 🙏🏾.
My next handgun purchase will be the FN 502 Tactical in FDE color.
How was your experience with FN customer service? I honestly had a really good experience. Fast, respectful and very helpful. I think the best customer service I have ever dealt with, when it comes to firearms.

I bought the FN 509 3 months ago. Now the 502. Too bad there is not a way to show the pictures. 509 Tactical, Leupold DeltaPoint Pro Dot, Parker Mountain Machine Compensator and Magwell, Apex trigger. 502 DeltaPoint Pro and I have a Dead Air Mask 22 Suppressor on it. SHWEET pistols. I have watched this video 20 times and love it. I do Tactical class's and I am going to have to get some of my Buddy's to do one of these competition's. It would be a blast. Thanks for the free magazines. Very nice.
Would love to know all the red dots used with this gun in the video and review on each in comparison. Looking to pick this gun up in a week and debating on the red/green dot to go with it.
Holosun
Bought a Holosun HS407K earth color sight to match the gun and the can when I purchase that. Purchased the red dot and I am happy with that. Right out the box it was set up for 25 yards and was dead on the money. Overall very nice weapon and fun to shoot.
Could you list the red dots that everyone used please! I'm thinking of purchasing one of these guns... Appreciate the video and the fun everyone had.. Keep it up..
Colion used a Trijicon RMR. Eli used a Holosun 407c or 507c. 22plinkster used a Vortex viper or venom. Crispy used a Holosun 407c or 507c and the Vortex viper or venom. Tim used either an older Holosun or a Holosun 507K or a 508T that did not have a blacked out logo. Tim's was a square so it was not the 507C.
I just put the 507K (which is the slimmer concealed carry optic) on my FN 502 and it fits the profile perfectly, but I may try the Holosun 507c at some point since it's definitely more of a target shooting optic because it's bigger. Either the smaller or larger optics will fit the FN 502 because of the three mounting plates that come with it.

Well now this is a interesting video and a very interesting 22 semi-auto lr. I own a FN 502 tactical and I really do like it but there's just one thing that really irritates me and that is the trigger. The trigger is easy to pull That's not the problem but the reset is very long and makes it difficult for me to shoot it fast. I have thought about putting a Apex trigger in but I don't know if I will or not.
When are you gonna release the fix for it not picking up rounds after a emergency reload it will almost never pickup the first round after emptying a mag

Most holsters that fit 509 fit 502. I have several name brand ones for fine
@@BreezyBeary do you have any owb holsters, and could you possibly recommend one? I use an Aliengear 2 stage retention mid rise holster for my custom Glock 19. Would absolutely love to find something similar that would hold the 502 and 509. Thanks a lot.

Eli, or anybody that's running a Holosun 507C on their 502,
What screws are you using to mount to the slide? None of the screws that came with the pistol OR with the 507C work for me
I had to cut my screws to get them to fit the Holosun
I had the same issue with the 407C, called FN and they recommended the green screws. Tried those and they worked perfect.
I have a 507c and use the supplied screws and mounting plate.
what ammo yall using?
I’d like to know what the setup is for this gun. I have a 502 where I put a Holosun HE508T and this gun is garbage after I put the optic on. It will not extract the empty cartridge after firing. And if it does extract the casing, it won’t chamber the next round. If you plan on using a red dot sight, stay clear of this gun, because you’re going to be disappointed/angry.

Curious what ammo they where using. Bought a fn 502 on Tuesday. Got to the range on Wednesday. Pistol feels great in the hand but was definitely disappointed with things. Had 2 rounds have light strikes. Had about 5 to 8rds not want to feed. Also had like 4 or 5rds feed and just not fire or show sign of even being hit. Was using cci velocitor and sub sonic 1050fps. Velocitor seem more reliable but had a couple feed issues. Biggest disappointment was the optic plate cover started to come off. Got home and took it off to check everything. Didn't realize until after putting it back together that it has o rings which I lost one and eventually found it later. Hopefully a cleaning and some more break in it will become more reliable. Also at first playing with it. The mags didn't want to seat. They seem to be fine after some use.
I really wanted to like this gun but it’s terrible. The worst feeding problems I’ve ever experienced. Tried standard and high velocity.
@@mrryanalcala sounds like it may be a factory defect, or a bad batch of ammo. I have a Colt .22 M4 style plinker, and it's been functioning properly for *years.* Got a bad batch of ammo, and had no end of problems. Primer strikes, feeding issues, stovepipes and double feeds. Switched batches and went back to normal. I use the bad stuff in a bolt gun, and it works well. No freaking clue why. 🤷🏻♂️
I recommend you go watch the video by "Sage Dynamics" on the 502.
The guy shoots for most the video, varying cadences and distances, suppressed and unsuppressed. Has a very high view of the gun, and may be able to answer some questions in the comments.
Before you bash something, maybe try to work the problem instead of complaining immediately. Yeah, it sucks to have issues right out of the box, but ultimately it's up to you whether you're going to just complain, or be productive before you reach a final conclusion.
I know it’s a factory defect. I’ve called FN multiple times and they won’t contact me back. It’s for sure a flaw in the gun. I’ve cleaned it more than one time, tried different ammo (even high speed stingers), and still the same problem. I’ll never buy FN again. I own a Scar-17 and a Five Seven so I’m not just a hater. What kind of company won’t even look into my claim?
@@mrryanalcala ah, that sucks. Well, you've tried everything it sounds like. Still, odd that they won't reply. I assume you've tried email? Every company that I've emailed usually responds...maybe because you could prove you contacted them in court if you had to? IDK...just spitballing here.

I just realized I don’t own 1 FN handgun I need a 22 pistol host for all of my 22 cans I have an RMR to put on it I’m just wondering if I should “pull the trigger” on the 502 or I hear great thinks about the Ruger 22/45 it’s barrel is threaded and has a spot for an RMR too. What should I do guys?
I'm about sold on the FN502 over the 22/45 because 15 round mags are available and everyone seems happy with the stock trigger on this one. I know what'll happen though. I'll get the 502 and still be wondering if I should get a 22/45 lol

Off topic: any chance of getting some parts for our rifles? You know things like barrels for those hugely publicized SCARs? You know the one, right? The highly touted modular SOCOM one? Maybe an authorized can or 3? Nah? You could sell a lot of cans if you put one out there and not void our warranties for using it/one. I don't give a fly fornication about handguns; I got two Glocks. I want this gun so much but I just can't justify spending the money on it after reading the issues you guys have had. I have two TX 22s and they are awesome at about half the price.

Yes I bought a 502 first week it came out. Most 509 holsters fit it. The big name holsters will work for both.
Can Ems order straight from FN? I can’t find a 502 anywhere.

They come with plates for every big name manufacturer.
Hi, Just bought a new FN 502 Tactical in the FDE color. The actual gun color in no way matches the color in your promotional pictures which was very dissappointing..!!!!

To bad FN didn’t actually make this gun! I will never buy another gun made by Umarex! My Beretta M/9 22 made by Umarex is straight garbage!! In first 100 rds both front and rear sights came off and will not stay on! No excuse for garbage QC like this! I would tell anyone to stay away from anything made by Umarex!! They are trash!!!
