    I have a yamaha dd 65 .( the older model). Great kit for getting into drumming especially if available space is limited( I am mainly a guitarist ) . But I still hope Yamaha makes also more high end version of this concept ( better pads etc. ).

      You have the Roland SPD-SX wich is the high end version of this concept.

    • @45zapatero
      @45zapatero Před 4 lety +8

      @@vitaliq435 Yes but the Roland is more intented to be an addition to a real drumkit . The Yamaha is intended to be a mini drumkit on its own (also ergonomically).

    • @vitaliq435
      @vitaliq435 Před 4 lety +1

      @@45zapatero Indeed but in any cases it will be very different from a real drumkit. And the Roland can be independent without any problem.

    Just bought for my grand kid. It has potential but I can not stand the noise and feel that of the hard plastic pads. So irritating. I was thinking how can I make them more playable then it hit me. Being a steel drum player we used rubber tips on our sticks. I haven't tried yet but I'm going to put some rubber on my drum stick tips and see how that sounds and feels. If it's a success I'll post back. If not I may return this instrument.
