(spinal tap being probably the most famous). my favorites aside from spinal tap are Best in Show and a Mighty Wind. a Mighty Wind is about folk musicians and there's a lot of quirkiness in it that would match well with Portlandia humor imo.
The other people's reactions seem so authentic. It almost seems like they did this at a real outdoor movie and didn't tell anyone.
