    Thank you for your detailed videos! I bought a Lay Z Spa Hollywood, and I don't think I'd have been able to set it up by myself without watching your video several times. I'm a 71 year old woman. With your help, I was able to wrestle with this thing and make it work. The Hollywood has the rope lights, and in a previous video, you mentioned how difficult they were to install. I found that leaving the lights in the sun made them more flexible, although still quite a challenge. The instructions that came with the hot tub were nearly useless. I've subscribed and will follow along for updates. Once again, Thank You!

      Hi Bramble, Sorry for the delay in our reply but we have a lot going on at the moment.
      Thanks for you comments, we are so glad we were able to help you. Your idea of leaving the rope LEDs in the sun to soften them is a great idea and should help a bit.

    Thanks so much for your video on the Milan Airjet Plus. I'm not a practical person at all, but you made it so easy to understand, in contrast to Bestway's ghastly manual, that I assembled it with no trouble at all. But now, with summer (?) over, it's time to put it away. I can see how to drain it, but my question is how to deflate it. I'm looking at the tiny diagrams in the manual and trying to figure out what the hell they mean. I'm sure it''s not as challenging as it looks. Can you help. Please.

    • @BrenTeckITSupport
      @BrenTeckITSupport  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Hi FudgeyButter, In the past with the old units the bubbles had just outside air pumped into the water cooling it down much quicker than the new ones heat the air so it looses heat slower than before.
      I was not saying you use the bubbles to heat you Spa as this would be very inefficient and noisy. If you are wanting to heat the Spa just run the heat mode, it will stop when the target temperature is reached.

    • @BrenTeckITSupport
      @BrenTeckITSupport  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Tyrre,
      Yes the pump can be left out in the rain. In fact as long as you keep it plugged in and powered on, with Freeze Shield you can leave it out all year.
      The pump is splash proof, it has to be as it is next to the Spa. Just don't submerge the pump in the Spa, run a hose pipe over it or presser wash it and you will be fine.
      Rain is no problem at all.

    Hey, I bought my Lay-z spa Paris based on your last Hot tub video a few years ago. Love using it during lockdown. However, because of the cost of energy going up how did you justify getting another one (if you don’t mind me asking) I feel like I can no longer use mine due to the price increase. Have you looked in at all to seeing how to run it off grid. It would make for an interesting video to watch. Keep up the good work.

    • @BrenTeckITSupport
      @BrenTeckITSupport  Před 2 lety +3

      Hi Arktic, We lent our Paris to a family last year and never got it back, so we were in the market for a replacement. The new lay z spa Milan has WiFi so I am planning to get it to work with HomeAsistant as others have already done and our solar panels so when we have any excess electricity instead of selling it to the grid for next to nothing we will put it into heating the hot tub. czcams.com/video/9npLjYp79qI/video.html with the number of solar panels and battery storage we have we can run the lay-z-spa for free on a reasonably sunny day.
      so for us, it is well worth having, with the spa late into the evening. It loses about 4 degrees overnight with the thermal jacket on amzn.to/3jYFxeu
      Our house uses an average of 850w without the Spa and with the Lay z Spa on and heating our total usage is about 3000w
      The specifications for the lay-z-spa are 2,050W and so it takes about 1hour to heat 2 degrees.
      Take your energy price and times it by 2 then times the number of hours heating to get an estimate. At the moment (price per Kw 0.25*2 Kw)*10 Hours = £5 for heating the spa that day roughy.
      you can use www.sust-it.net/energy-calculator.php to calculate the cost easily
      I hope this helps all the best David

      @BrenTeckITSupport  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Fleur,
      First off we are not talking about mobile phone 5g this is a different thing, just in case you are getting confused between the two.
      You should be able to check this in your router settings. Some cheaper / Free ISP routers may not show you these options and may only offer a combined WiFi SSID if so just use your WiFi like normal and hope it works. If not you may need to upgrade your router and possibly get a modem. Have a look at our Ausu AX88U setup video this is where you can set up the WiFi settings czcams.com/video/kLBCAhgGefc/video.html your router may vary but you should be able to access it from something like 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 in your web browser.
      If that address does not work you can open a command prompt.
      Win 10&11 Click Start,
      type cmd
      Press enter and type
      ipconfig /all
      Press enter and look for your default gateway. This will be your router's IP address. Enter this into your web browser and you can see your WiFi settings from there.
      I hope this helps.
      It is best practice to have a separate 2g network for smart home tech as this improves reliability and security. But sometimes you can get away with just having a combined network.
      I hope you have subscribed as we are working on a new video showing how to automate the Lay-Z-Spa to make it cheaper and posable generate an income from running it.
      All the best and if you need any more help just ask.

    are you sure the bubbles are heated? pretty sure the heater is still in the same place as always which is through the filter system.
    the airjet plus does not mention this that there is another heating element that goes in the bubble airways. ? where did you find this information, thank you.

    • @BrenTeckITSupport
      @BrenTeckITSupport  Před rokem +1

      Hi Unlimited, it does not state that it has heated bubbles anywhere. When I hold the tube on the inside of the spa where the air goes to the centre ring it is warm to the touch. If the ambient colder air was going through it would feel colder so I am assuming the air is being heated somehow. The pump and heater for the water were on at the same time so it could be the ambient air temp in the pump unit is hotter than the outside air. The exhaust air for the pumps which will be warmer could be fed into the airflow of the bubbles? Also, the temperature of the spa does not seem to drop as quickly when the bubbles are on. The new Lay-z-spa's have gotten a more efficient heater for the water so that could be the reason for the temperature being more stable when in use. This is all just my speculation and feelings when using it, but I am convinced that the bubbles are warmer than the previous one we had. I hope this clears up my feeling sorry for the confusion.
      Just so glad we got it. I will be releasing a video on how to automate the spa so it heats for free using our solar panels and Home Assistant, so hope you have subscribed and clicked the bell notification button.

I could not remember reading it when replying to you first but I used it a couple of days ago and it definitely is warm to hold the tube. Odd that they do not make a big deal on this in their marketing as it is definitely a selling point and extra feature that others products might not have.

      @@BrenTeckITSupport Okay so my comment gets deleted cause I say a word youtube doesn't like which is a d v yeah u know the rest.
      So, this is said on every pump, 3rd old one, 2nd old one and the new airjet plus pumps, says the exact same thing.
      page 27
      www.lay-z-spa.co.uk/find-your-manual/2021/hollywood-airjet.pdf
      and older pump www.lay-z-spa.co.uk/find-your-manual/2020/helsinki.pdf
      So sadly, there is definitely nothing new with the airjet plus pump, bubbles comes in from the same big connector into the pool and right out of the pool.
      there are 2 heating elements in the pump for the water each 1kw each, so 2kw normal operation and 1kw + 800w (pump) when running bubbles so it doesn't exceed the power limit they set at 2050w ish and 10amp fuse.
      Had a longer comment but youtube removes it, but yeah, cool that you work so hard for your followers, great to see! but I think we solved this.
      Hence why layz spa never spoke about this cause it was nothing new, if they did make a new version with hotter bubbles they would definitely brought it up.

      @@unlimiteduploads2971 Hi, Thanks for all of this really interesting and useful info much appreciated.
      Having to watch what ones posts online is really starting to become a pain. Most people don't want to deliberately offend others but it can not be avoided in its entirety as everyone finds different things offensive. Censoring everyone because of this is rediculous.
      Thanks again and all the best
      Dave
