      If you have all the tools ready to go and a bit of space, you could do this in an hour, 3 hours if you are new to it. What you are doing is the style of work that my dad does. Replacing a bearing became tearing apart the entire front end and a carb kit for an ATV somehow.

If you got the off road package you could get the 275/70R17 that converts to 32.2x10.8R17. The actual size of a 33x12.50 on a 15” wheel is 32.5 Tall by 12.5” wide. You can use that for comparison.

      I watched 5 separate videos and they were all different. I just did mine last week and there's more steps than I expected, luckily I have the tools. Alignment is a must, this changes your tow settings which will cause your tires to wear quicker. For instance mine are now tow +

    • @robbiemiller2334
      @robbiemiller2334 Před 5 lety

      I measured mine to figure out which spacer I needed. So I'd recommend putting the topper on, or something that weighs the same then measure

    • @KNR90
      @KNR90 Před 4 lety

      It would be very close, as thats hardly any weight. If you put 150+ lbs in the back it will have a slight backwards rake but not really noticeable.

  • @MJ-4life
    @MJ-4life Před 5 lety

    If 2" spacer levels my Ram perfectly then why buy 2.5"?

    • @FirehouseTats
      @FirehouseTats Před 5 lety +1

      If you're sure 2" will do it, they you wouldn't go with 2.5 unless you also wanted to lift up the rear a little to match it. But you should be careful when deciding what size to buy. You should take some measurements and realize that the ground your truck is parked on can affect those measurements. Ideally, a perfectly level surface is what you should park on before you measure height. But most of us aren't fortunate enough to have access to a perfectly level parking space. So you have to make an educated guess at what is going to work best. Take meaurements at all four wheels from the ground to the bottom of the fender well, write em down. Then measure from the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender well at all four wheels and write those down. Compare the differences and consider taking the average as the "proper" size spacer to level your truck. That's what I did, and it came out to be 2.5". Mine looks nice and level to me. Sorry, no photos to show. Hope this helps some of you out there.

    • @robbiemiller2334
      @robbiemiller2334 Před 5 lety

      Simply because there are multiple variables that change your rake. For instance when I put on a 34" tire it actually changed my rake a half inch. This is why you measure before. I actually run the 3" spacer. Looks really good
