I like her staging now way more than in Portugal so for me it has grown, shame she wasnt given more budget but perhaps its better with less.
Well we don't usually get that, I think unfortunately it wouldn't go down well with most of the portuguese people to spend so much, in a public broadcasting channel, most of the people in Portugal live in some discomfort and distress economically, that it would go against the artists. I even was surprised that Mimicat attended a lot of parties (even though I don't know if the channel covers the costs for that).

One suggestion, you should get a wind muff for the audio recorder. The smallest breeze can be heard and affects the audio track.

Oh, it doesn’t look like plan B. It looks like no plan at all. And I feel really sorry for Mimicat because she delivered something really theatrical and entertaining at festival da canção and now it just doesn’t stand out. The backing vocals desapeared… I just feel ao very disapointed for her. Such a wonderful performer. Really hope RTP wakes up and do something about it.
This ridiculous charade has got to stop. She said that they had TWO DAYS to come up with a staging plan, so RTP really has to get their act together and move the entirety of Festival da Canção one or two weeks earlier, to buy themselves some time to properly prepare their ESC acts in the future.
I've read somewhere that the BBC staff was also to blame for the LED snafu, but I don't buy it (or at least that alone can't explain it). This has RTP's little incompetent hands all over it… And this year they had no excuse, as they just did the FdC in their own HQ studio, it's not like they had big logistics issues - or at least issues outside of their control - to deal with when adapting their dead-simple staging to a bigger setting (they had the issue with the sofa becoming more of a hindrance than an asset, and that… pretty much solved itself by canning it).
Interestingly, there was another act that showed immense promise and got gimped, and it ALSO took place on the same day as FdC. Yep, that was Loreen's, at Melodifestivalen. Not even SVT, and their megalomaniac production vision, could properly deal with the M&S Arena's limitations. I wonder if the national broadcasters had proper advance knowledge of them and if SVT was also done for by their tardy national selection process… To be fair, they managed to at least salvage a bit of the original performance, and may even actually win as hyped and predicted, but the final product still looks laughable and badly proportioned by comparison.

Eu sou Luso-Brasileiro e acho que o Fado e muito triste para ser cantado na Eurovition, mas um Fado alegre ou esta mixtura que voce fez foi perfeito. Principalmente para todos que entendem o Potugues. Aqui em Londres uns falavam que era "cabare", mas todos gostaram, atingiu o meu corazao parece que voces estavam no ritimo das castanholas.
Estou curioso ja o que voce vai preparar para o proximo ano, tera mistura com a musica cigana?

Stop this, its not RTP, it was the LED/light work that they had prepared was not what they were hoping for between stand ins and first rehearsals, that work was created by the BBC not RTP.

@@Mainyehc She has mentioned in various interviews that the resulting LED's and lights were not what they expected between the stand ins and the 1st rehearsals, RTP historically never produce their own LED's we have always used the host countries broadcaster for this purpose for example maro and Black Mamba in the Netherlands so its fair to assume that the BBC was the one that got it wrong.
@@SLOWMONUTKICK But its RTP's fault as well for two reasons, not giving enough budget to the staging and Mimicat having to give explanations to what things have gone wrong, when the head of delegation should do that for her
