I so admired your work on the A Summer Ball that I ordered the pattern and started it last week. OUFFFFF you are good.... It is a piece that needs a lot of concentration and precision. Congratulations on the work you do... everything is marvelous.
I hope you enjoy A Summer Ball as much as I do. The tricky part fore is that the grid is center justified so the top left corner isn't 10x10. I got the horizontal grid lines right but the first column is only 9 wide.

Yeah, now that I know how to do it, I think I could get more patterns into PK easier. Thanks - putting my hair half up like this seems to show off more grey hair but I've always liked wearing it that way. I don't wear it as often this way anymore because I grew out bangs so I feel like my forehead is huge without them. 😄 I think I could tolerate/like Omy's variety of noises more than Chippy's...his just grate at me after awhile, plus the fact you can't un-train them like you could a bigger bird that learned to yell for attention.

I’ve started my first full coverage piece, a HAED chart, on PK. The first few stitches were a bit tricky but then the process smoothed out. But I was wondering how to figure out what the symbols were under the blacked out sections and now I know how to reveal that if I need to. Super helpful. Hope this coming up week is more settled for you.

You really have a lot of patience to get your chart in pattern keeper. I tried it and found it's easier and I prefer to just snap a pic and covert it to pdf the use Good reader. It takes just a few minutes and then I can get back to stitching.

Yeah, it's amazing for how large a plane the B-52 is, that there's not much room in the crew compartment. It certainly wasn't built for comfort. I don't think I could pick a favorite - I love different things about all of them! Happy stitching!

I hope all the meds help him turn the corner quickly!! How does Hopper react to hearing Chippy? Do they "chat" with each other?

Hard to believe but the Star Wars chart has over 80 colors! Yes, I do show Hopper occasionally but he's hormonal and a handful right now. I ride Spencer in dressage too but he doesn't like the cold so while we're stationed in ND, he's living with my friend in Louisiana. I have alot to learn to get to his level once we move!
Hey Kim! I’m still watching but had to comment about the pk help! That was brill. I’m already having palpitations about moving from pk back to “normal” stitching and I have a few difficult pieces come up that pk would really help with. So In theory if I take a pic of a chart on a book can I input this into pk even if it’s not full coverage? Just being able to mark it off on pk is a massive help as I can’t mark it off on the book and I’m worried I’ll lose my place! 😂🧵🧵
Yes! You can take a picture of any chart, full coverage or non. If my Paris chart by Thea Gouvernour didn't have so much crazy backstitch, I'd try to manually import that one too. The hardest part for your chart will be trying to get the page of the book as flat as possible for a good picture. If the page is curved from a tight binding, it'll be hard to make the grid work. Give it a try!

I recommend checking out the Stitching With Pattern Keeper groon FB, or searching for PK tutorials on YT to help with whatever problems you're having. Lots of great people willing to help.

Yes, I always see how much I've accomplished and then want to do more. Sun conures are so loud! Very pretty though. My golden retriever that's a trained hunting dog for doves and ducks is scared of Hopper, and ran away when Hopper checked out her fur. Spencer should be fine but I'm still anxious about it all. It is a darn good flashlight and it uses weird size batteries, not your normal AA. After about 40 min I realized I should turn off the flashlight when kids weren't actively going up or down so I stood there in the dark while they were in the pilot's section. The fuel has to travel fast from that aerial port to the fuel tanks with the fast flow rate from the jet. So much engine noise they probably can't hear it though.
Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear Spencer needs to be treated for all of those things, but so great he did well at the show. I hope he's bouncing back by next week already. ❤️
