Orient Beach Post Irma - View from Bar Locations

This video is shot from where the bars stood on Orient Beach, off of the actual beach area where the water meets the shore. If you're coming, you'll just stay in the area nearest the shore (about 15 meters wide) and you are fine.

Do you have an update on this beach what is it like today? June 2018 are the restaurants rebuilt?

Yes, if you access Orient Beach from Ave des Plages, most, if not all, restaurants and stores are open. If you go toward the north end of Orient, it is still heavily damaged with clean up efforts going on.

so as a day tripper on a cruise i'd be on my own? no lounges/umbrellas or vendors? i always go to this beach when here on a cruise, but may do something different this year.

Greg, the beach is getting cleared now but Kim Sha beach in Simpson Bay, Baie Rouge or Friar’s Bay are all good options.
