When he says “they’re going to take you” it’s instant chills. Because he knows how this goes. And that he is powerless in that moment
The thing that got me is the close up shot of Liam’s face as she’s screaming. The terror on his face is real
I still have the same feeling everytime i hear that line 🥺
You gotta prepare her cause he knows
It makes me angry. Why do men treat a woman or young girl as objects in these action movies?
@@jaemyrick5277 because that's the way of the world. Reality is uncomfortable.
Liam Neeson was 55 years old when he filmed Taken. He was pretty much a dramatic actor before his role in Taken transformed his career into a action star.
He was AMAZING in The Grey
put some respect on Darkman
Rob Roy, Schindler's List.
True stories and 2 of his best as well.
He is amazing! He finally got my attention! And from Star Wars Eps. 1
The movie Rob Roy would like a word on that.
Liam Neeson opening monologue to the kidnappers "I have a special sets of skills" has become cinematic stuff of legend.
Taken is awesome.
The fact that he goes against pimps and rapists sure helps to root for him.
You enjoy every throat or knees he destroys.
He has some AMAZING lines in movies. One line that threw me off guard was "What are your views on hentai manga, do you see it as art or pornography?" Liam in Made in Italy.
A particular set of skills
This movie took everyone by surprise when it came out. It made 227 million in box office with a budget of only 25 million. It was so well received that it spawned a sequel. People could not stop talking about it.
Two sequels :)
Yeah… the 1st one is the best hands down. 2nd one was okay. Third one I personally didn’t care for. Same with the terminators. The OG is fantastic, literally has 100% on RT. 2nd one may have actually been THAT much better. Then the 3rd, idk what happened, but the quality dropped significantly. In fact I don’t even think James Cameron directed it.
And a TV show
When the horse was brought out: "How does a dad beat this?" Once the movie is done: "That's how a dad beats that."
"She runs like a cartoon character." Maggie Grace, the woman who plays her, is actually infamous for being incredibly clumsy in real life so much to the point where her castmates on Lost jokingly called her Maggie Graceless. Probably contributes to her running like she's on fire.
LMMFAO 😁 🤣 running like she's on 🔥 😆
That is awesome - LOL!!!
Like she's on fire is a perfect way to describe it; she always looks like she's going to fall over. 😂
@@OctoKrool YESSSSS!!🤣🤣🤣🤦🏽♀️
@@OctoKrool PLEASE REACT TO THE EQUALIZER DENZEL WASHINGTON NEXT ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
Something I weirdly appreciate about your channel... you haven't upgraded your set, got a corny greenscreen, fancy lighting, 4k camera, changed personality, started acting differently, you're 100% the same since the early videos! Thanks for staying real.
I mean they already have one of the hardest tasks in the world(watching a movie), why over complicate it beyond that?
@@joemckim1183 Agreed! haha
Agreed! None of that is necessary. These guys are the real deal! Love this channel!
There channel and content is top tier without a doubt. 🔥🔥
Even if they change anything, it should be a better service for the subscibers or viewers.
The chokehold this movie has on dads around the world when it came out. I went to the movies and watched it with my dad and actually had a sweet moment when I asked him if he would do that for me.. I hardly finished the sentence before he went “absolutely”. One and two are great movies!!!!
The difference is he'd almost certainly die trying to save you 😂 but hey it's the thought that counts
This movie gives me such a hate boner that I want to go out and grape without control.
@@0owmjapo0 He might just have the same set of skills but you wouldn’t be able to determine that because you don’t know her dad.
@@GwapeJooce promise you he doesn’t.
your da wouldn’t even be able to book the flight
he doesn't expect the worst in everything, he KNOWS the real darkness in the world
He knows that crime syndicates can't flourish without the involvement of corrupt law enforcement, politicians, & government officials. Always a network from highest to lowest. He knows that predators and human traffickers are going to surveille airports & bus stations, etc. for potential victims. He knows their habits, methods, thinking, channels & modes of operation. And he obviously knew that French Official & his family, & worked with him before. And he knew by his indifference & refusal to help him, that he was corrupt. So while the rest of the world sees adventure opportunities, & positive potential in the people & the world around them, he is very cognizant, of the workings of it's underbelly all around him, as opposed to just being "paranoid". And he knows how girls think, how immature & incredibly naive they are. Obviously he understands how men think, how predators think, & how men of other races, especially eastern cultures, target women in general, but especially value virgin girls.
Amanda in this, was a "party girl", & probably not a virgin. She told the guy that they had the place to themselves, because she thought she wanted him. Wanted to party with him. Wanted to hook up with him. And she wanted to string Kim along, & introduce her to that, free & easy, party lifestyle. To drag her all the way to France, free of chaperones & parental influence, to pull her out of her shell. On the one hand, she was not so innocent & kind of knew what she was doing, being deceitful; but on the other hand, she was also still very naive herself, so she was much more of a walking contradiction than Kim was. And unfortunately she paid dearly for it. I think this movie is very good at opening people in general's eyes to societies underbelly, & educating them, but especially girls & young women.
@Lauren Lewis maybe
Right. The mom pisses me off to no end in the whole movie
His reasoning is sound, because it's two teenagers going to Paris and no one capable of protecting them. With all he's seen and done, he knows how easy prey his daughter is.
@@tjjordan4207 There is a prequel series where it is revealed that Brian had a sister who was murdered by a drug cartel, that makes the experience of this movie more powerful... this time this cruel world lost
There's a difference in being paranoid & being aware. Bryan's career made him aware of everything below surface that the average person is oblivious to.
As a teen I remember my dad watching this and him tearing up towards the beginning of the movie when she gets taken and I never understood it. He was not the crying type.
However now…..as a parent myself watching it, I also tear up at the part where he’s explaining what’s about to happen to her. Then the tears fully break out when she starts yelling all the details she can see. This movie is a parent’s worst nightmare.
Worst one for a Mom is An Eye for an Eye with Sally Field. I still can't watch again to this day.
ufff escena fuerte el solo pensar q puede ser tu hija pasando eso te quiebra
@@rostand5264 I didn't even have kids at the time, and I was virtually traumatized on behalf of all parents everywhere. Absolutely horrific. Haven't watched again since and don't want to.
@@rostand5264 that movie was really heavy :((
Worst movie I've ever seen as a parent was Sophie's Choice, that scene broke me
Phenomenal movie and performance by Liam Neeson. This movie raised a drop on the awareness of sex trafficking and sex slavery.
The scary thing is that this really happens. My dad once told me about someone he knew (I think this happened back in the 70s or maybe 80s). He went on his honeymoon and his wife went to try some new clothes in a changing room in a store. No one ever saw her coming out again and they never found her. I always thought this was impossible until I saw this movie.
Parent rage. Most of us obviously aren't capable like him to do that stuff, but the legit no hesitation/merciless/ruthlessness that was portrayed is spot on for any parent if you fuck with their kid. Also worthy of note: More people live in slavery/trafficking today than at any other period of human history... it's definitely a problem.
I'm not even a parent and I understand his ruthlessness completely. It could be my brother or sister or anyone I care about you kidnapped, and if I had the capability to do this I would.
Source - trust me bro
@@benjamindorough6129 u r absolutely right to have that kind of mindset, because there are some people in the world that are horrible and as a species in general human beings are capable of a lot of truly horrid crap. It happens wayyyy more often than people are willing to admit acknowledge. That's why people like this character being ultra paranoid shouldn't regarded as crazy or unreasonable because that way of thinking is pretty much the safest way to live. Preparation is absolutely critical to ensuring a person's safety no matter what situation you find youself in. The sad part about this sort of scenario is that the vast majority of people will get grabbed because their mindset is somewhat docile in nature which makes a hell of a lot easier for people like that to kidnap. Because only people like intelligence agents or even the average soldier can spot suspicious things like that. If folks like sex traffikers are around, then unless you have that sort of mindset from the very beginning, ur chances of avoiding capture are sadly incredibly low. society pushes the idea that having such skills are unnecessary, but everyday someone is kidnapped or forced into slavery that idea is made more and more foolish naive.
THIS!!!!!
The moment when Brian shot the Paris agent's wife was the moment you KNOW he would do ANYTHING for his daughter.
Ahhh the famous line “I will look for you, I will find you and I will kill you” I remember using this way too often on my siblings when I wanted them to stay away from my things 😂😂 One of my all time favorite action movies! ♥️ Glad you reacted to it!😊
its a runin meme him playing these characters but Schindlers list made me cry twice back to back and he killed it
They need to do Schindler’s List. EVERYBODY in movie reactions should do that movie. It’s so important to history and the way it’s filmed plus the cast makes it incredible.. and tragic.. horrible in the sense of events it covers… and stunning.
Schindler's List is one of the best movies I've ever seen.
I have weird nostalgia with Taken. This came out when I was starting college and half a dozen people (myself included) who had randomly shared classes but didn't know each other super well, formed a group of friends. All just out of being bored one night and as a group deciding to just go see what the cinema was playing down the road. After that every week we'd get back together, go out to eat, introduce our friends and partners to each other, etc, for years. All out of an action flick centered on Liam Neeson throat-punching people. 🤣
While this movie is memed, it's memed because it's freaking awesome.
I believe this guy trained Batman.
well he is Darkman
Also trained Obi-Wan, he's quite the teacher :D
People forget that he trained superheroes and Jedi. Mans is a force
It doesn't matter if you're almost 18, if you only have the life experience and thinking of an average 14 year old. Mom left some really important things out, when she took it upon herself to raise her daughter with minimal contact to the father.
I was a woman in my 20's when this movie came out. And even though I was all about being an independent woman, I still thought that letting these two travel alone, was a terrible idea. Yes, your daughter has to learn. But you know, baby steps.
I like the fact that Neeson's character and his daughter actually have a healthy father-daughter relationship *before* the movie starts. They aren't estranged, she' isn't overly rebellious, and she doesn't act like she hates him. They're a just a dad and his little girl. Even when she calls him when they get to the apartment, she genuinely feels bad that her friends relatives aren't there even though she thought they would be and she doesn't lie about it. They have a perfectly healthy relationship and get along just fine. The only time she even gets upset with him is when he's against her going on the trip and he gets upset that she didn't tell him they were following this band on tour. Not perfect, but normal.
So healthy she lies to him about her plans knowing he wouldn't agree, gets her friend killed and leads to mayhem. Yeah really FN healthy
@@innercircle341 She didn’t get her friend killed.
@@innercircle341 Omg someone lied in an otherwise healthy relationship. Jesus you folks think healthy means prefect. News flash it doesn't mean that.
@@innercircle341 I have a healthy relationship with my dad, I ain't telling him everything either lol. Healthy does not mean perfect.
@@blinkachu5275 Which I'm fairly certain I pointed out, but I guess they just sorta ignored that little detail, didn't they?
Liam Neeson had no idea this film would be a hit, but I feel the film showing a loving father giving these evil men what they deserved was a BIG thing that made audiences love this film. This also is the film that established Neeson as an action star =)
I remember when this movie came out, everyone criticised the casting of Liam Neeson (before seeing the actual film), saying he was too old to play the believable action hero. Since this film however, he’s pretty much been cast in nothing but action films, so now it’s Liam Neeson saying, “I’m getting older now. At some point it has to stop.” The two sequels Taken has are well worth seeing, though admittedly not quite as good as this one in my opinion.
Can I request you add Lethal Weapon series to your movie polls too? I’m almost certain you’ll both love them.
I don’t know if you seen his new movie but it definitely shows it’s getting to that point which is great because he’s done amazing movies but sad because he is one of my fav action actors especially in this the drive to get his kid back and how far he went to do it he really bodied all his characters
Taken 3 is a no.
"I don’t think there’ll be a 'Taken 3. She can’t get taken again. That’s just bad parenting.", Neeson... but, there was.
I thought Taken 2 was terrible. Completely implausible.
The two sequels are not worth watching. The guy killed at least 10 people including an arab sheikh, shot a policeman's wife and he's still walking free.
Everyone talks about the "I have a particular set of skills" speech, and that is absolutely a fantastic part.
What people don't talk about enough is the payoff:
"You don't remember me, do you? We spoke on the phone the other day.
I told you I would come find you."
If you like movies like this, try "Equalizer" with Denzel Washington and "Red" with Bruce Willis.
Red 2 was also awesome! I LOVE John Malkovich in both films
Equalizer is a forever watch for me!
Love both RED movies.. they are so funny
oh man, the Red movies are amazing!
Absolutely Yes they're awesome
I remember my dad made me go watch this with him in theaters and I remember him telling me that if I was ever dumb enough to get myself kidnapped (I was about 12 at the time) he would Liam Neeson the ppl that did it. Liam Neeson is a verb in this house hold and this movie is why 🤣
Liam Neeson is such a top-tier actor that he singlehandedly elevated this film from a solid action flick to something that people still talk about and reference. Definitely check out more of his filmography when you get the chance! :)
Rob Roy! Hell yeah!!!
check him out with patrick swayze in "Next of Kin"....his southern accent is convincing
It's also extremely rare for hollyweird to make this type of film. In fact I'm surprised they let this film out.
This film is based on something that actually happens and has been happening for more than a century.
People from islamic countries working together in western europe to accomplish certain things.
This movie probably opened the gateway for older action stars to still be desirable, such as John Wick and the Equalizer. You've seen John Wick, but definitely can recommend both Equalizer movies as well with Denzel Washington.
If you want more Liam Neeson:
- Schindler's List (very heavy topic, but movie based on a true story and very well acted/written/shot)
- Batman Begins (not the main character in it, that's of course Bruce Wayne played by Christian Bale, but played it well)
- Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace (not my favorite movie but Liam Neeson is probably the best part of that movie)
- The Grey (Liam Neeson against wolves... I mean... do I have to say more?)
Being a dad, watching this movie was both painful and satisfying.
We use this line in our family all the time. My favorite is when my kids say "Hey Mom, got any money"?
Me: No....
"But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you."
my favorite quote from the movie
Nice 😁
I didn’t think I could love this movie any more than I already did, but your reactions just put it on a whole other level.
What a parent won't do to save their child. I really enjoy watching this trilogy from time to time. Looking forward to seeing what movie the boyz have for us next.
Yea not sure I could do any of that my poor child be S O L lol
hahah I loved your reaction to the speech into the phone "It was better than I thought it would be!" and the look on your face hahaha amazing.
Liam Neeson is so amazing at delivering lines, watch him in Sesame Street just simply count to 20, and see how brilliantly he does it.
Liam Neeson.
A Irishman who was an ex-boxer, who went on to become helluva actor and also an Oscar nominee (Best Actor in Schindler's List, 1993).
But 20 years plus into his career, this gem of a film made him the new thinking man's action hero.
That phone call scene is unforgettable.
The selling point of the movie and it's first trailer.
Many more movies like this he's done and it's fun to watch Neeson take it to the bad guys.
As for the Taken franchise, part 2 is great.
Part 3 is decisive for not being a good finale.
There was a tv series, a prequel set years before the first film (ran for 2 seasons).
You guys are so right, what makes this movie great is the speed in which he decides to execute his wrath and the deadness of his voice when he talks. Great movie and reaction!!!
This movie is SO MUCH fun!
Because of one tiny comment you made, I have to ask: have you guys seen The Bone Collector? If not, a reaction to it would be great!!
Oh I love that film. It's such an underrated one imo.
I agree! This is a fabulous movie for that exact reason. Its fun and cathartic to watch this no-mercy violence against sex-traffickers. Its kinda like Inglorious Basterds in that way. We like seeing inexcusable evil just get taken down.
Such an epic film! My boyfriend and I always just refer to Liam Niesson as "The Voice" because of this movie 😂 He just has such a perfect delivery for everything.
Amanda's immature decision in the beginning is exactly why two teenage girls shouldn't be travelling alone, much less STAYING alone in an empty house in a foreign country. At least not these two teenage girls. Not saying there aren't 17 and 19 year olds that would make way wiser choices here, but oof. Seeing those mistakes play out in real time always makes me feel such visceral dread. And I was 17 when this movie came out!
At least you see why it is a staple of cable tv during Father's Day weekend.
This film literally put new meaning to the phrase "Dad's love knows no boundaries".
Absolutely love it!
Other Liam Neeson to watch are Schindler's List, Darkman, Star Wars and Batman Begins. This was followed by two sequels and inspired similar films to this, also starring Liam Neeson
Hey now.....no mention of Krull or maybe Rob Roy?
Schindler's List is one we want to do, it's just a long movie and it's hard to find the time to record it but it will be done at some point!
@@OctoKrool, Batman Begins is a solid choice. As for Star Wars, he's a main character in one of the Prequel films, though I don't recommend watching those until after watching the Original Trilogy first
@@OctoKrool Just a warning: Schindler's List WILL gut-punch your emotions
@@OctoKrool Must Watch him in Schindler's List. It is his best acting by far. Also, the movie doesn't feel like its runtime. It is just hard to not to get emotional.
The daughter really does run like a giant cartoon toddler 😂
Part of the reason I feel he does come across as a seasoned fighter is he was a boxer at one point in his life. I mean he's pretty agile for a man as big as he is. But he's also long limbed. Like I really do believe he comes across as somebody you don't want to get in an entanglement with because he's somebody you really wouldn't want to get into an entanglement with.
"You'd better get used to saying nothing because you're dead!" That was a great line, dude. If anyone uses it in a movie, don't forget to get paid.
The best parts of this movie is he picks up other ppls guns and continues picking up weapons as he goes. And also he didn't give AF about finding Amanda lollll
You have to check out "The Equalizer" movies also... They are along the same lines as Taken and are just as good
I wonder what rock these guys were living under before CZcams movie reactions
I’m curious too. However there are a lot of popular movies I haven’t viewed either
Canadian Rock
Me too. Many of the movies they react to have been shown on tv over the years.
They are entertaining. Nice brothers.
@@mickylove76 Agree, the original question seemed rude. Unless you are Siskel or Ebert, lots of people haven’t seen lots of movies.
The moment Neeson shoots the wife without hesitation is the moment the movie went from good to great. It’s that moment everyone in the audience understands he has no limits. None at all. Whatever it takes. Total bad ass. Righteous rage.
I've seen Liam on talk shows describing how his friends ask him to record that "I will find you..." speech on the outgoing message of their answering machines. :)
"she's never going to travel again."
Yep, until the sequel
Love your reactions! I think you could really enjoy "John Q". Very suspenseful and emotional story of a father doing whatever it takes to save his son.
If you haven't seen it, it's definitely worth a watch
I like how Liam’s character in this movie is in an perpetual state of “I woke up and chose violence today”
Liam Neeson had lost his wife in skiing accident before this film. He accepted it partially as there was rage and anger in him during that time and he was looking way to release it. In this role it was way to release anger by beating coountless stunt men and getting paid, it seems to be awesome form of therapy truth to be told.
Yes Natasha Richardson who was also an actress
I love this movie soooo much bc I am a daddy's girl & this movie is the dedication to the fathers of the world who would do anything for their children by any means necessary. Even tho this is impossible but I can definitely understand the motivation for protection & their actions. Yep Liam Neeson, he showed it & I really appreciate it!
It’s a superb film. One of Liam’s best.
Great choice, hope you guys will react to the sequels too and when you like this revenge stuff I recommend the movie "Law Abiding Citizen" (2009) with Jamie Fox and Gerard Butler in his best role for my opinion.
I always tell my daughters to tell their dates that their dad has a specific set of skills if they misbehave
I laughed so hard when you said, "Top that one.....Stuart!"
"Les Miserable" 1997 with Liam Neeson - beautifully acted - highly recommend. Also has Claire Danes and Uma Thurman, Geoffry Rush.
To have a job lke this you have to serve in any military branch, get elite level, maybe an specialty also, special forces and intelligence jobs, then retire from that and get recruited by NSA or CIA and serve long enough to make a career and survive. The guy that was consultant for Neeson's character was still in active service while filming the movie and when returned to train Neeson from a field asignment, had some scars and got asked by Liam. His answer was "I can't discuss it". Funny reaction guys!
The Deadpool shirt is funnily enough kind of apt here, since the guy who does Liam Neeson's stunts in this and teaches him to fight, is Mark Vanselow. Vanselow was also stunt coordinator and stunt man on Deadpool.
Awesome reaction guys. If you want another Liam Neeson revenge movie check out Rob Roy which is also a historical period movie. The chemistry between Liam Neeson & Jessica Lange is off the charts & very relatable by the fact you can sense how their characters love each other but there are times when their priorities differ & they can't understand why their loved one doesn't share their viewpoint. The cherry on top of this movie is the swordfight scene at the end of the movie which the two protagonists are using heavy swords & you can feel their pain & exhaustion during the fight. Keep up the excellent reactions guys.
8:31 "Paris is not like most dangerous place in like the world".
Multiple refugees with shady reputation: Are you sure about that?
For the record Liam Nieson was around 56 years old at the time he made the movie in 2008, and he is still making action movies at 69 years old (he turned 70 in June); 2022's "Blacklight" being the latest.
“We traveled when we were younger.”
“I don’t remember, dude.”
Same.
my first time watching Taken left me speechless. Ofcourse the action and brutality is well performed, but it's this bitter aftertaste, like you know this is happening all around the world, millions of people (kids!) are suffering in human trafficking matter, drugged, ready to die, etc. Taken right off the street. (In some mid-east countries you might be even abused and raped when you're a woman (tourist) and thrown into jail afterwards for unproper behaviour!!) Just thinking about someone you care for ending in such scenario gives you goosebumps. Everytime you watch a movie or a documentary about this matter, you realise how sick the world is... and all these Marvel kid movies where they trying to save the world from some pity aliens seem even more ridiculous.
Great reaction as always, really enjoyed it!
Similar theme might be 8mm with Nicolas Cage (I don't remember/know if you've watched it already, if no, go and watch it)
17 is young. Very young to travel to another country where there’s no one she knows who she can go to when she’s in trouble.
Taken is the first movie I watched that showed a realistic depiction of someone with highly trained combat and spy skills. A lot of movies follow the James Bond model of having a lot of shots fired back and forth and extended fight scenes because that's fun to watch. But, in reality, someone who is trained at that high of a level would take you down in a matter of seconds. They wouldn't need 30 shots to hit their target. Liam Neeson's character is the real deal.
With regards to Liam Neeson's character being so concerned with his daughter going to Paris, remember he was a special forces operative and the mindset you get is one where you are used to seeing the world with a higher sense of risk and danger.
Since you said that you loved how bad-ass he was, you might want to check out "'Law Abiding Citizen" from 2009. Cold, calculated brutality for revenge!
You guys are becoming one of my favorite youtubers. Keep coming with the good content. I love the both of yall personality and perspective on certain films I love dearly.
Your guys' intro gets better each time I come here 😂
Before this movie came, it was almost a direct to dvd movie and it was not hyped at all, just a regular action movie. As i thought before first time watching it.
When i was done, i sat in couch for a couple of minutes and thinking " damn this is one of the best action movies i ever saw"
And i didn't saw it coming, wonderful feeling when you not expecting it
8:28 Uhmm don't sleep on the fact that Paris is no picnic after sunset, especially if you are a tourist and in particular if you venture in less crowded areas & streets, or tunnels, or famously in the subway...
Countless stories of tourists opening their eyes about it in the hardest way.
Man they showed a teaser on tv using the scene of Kimmy and Amanda being taken. And man that part of the monologue. The warning. That’s what hooked me in to see this movie. Both the warming & the “good luck” hooked me. I was like “I gotta see this. This looks to be good and boy it didn’t disappoint. 2 more followed. The second was pretty good. The third was ok
Great movie. Other great movies like that are Equalizer with Denzel Washington and the first Bourne Identity movie. Other great Liam Nisson movies are Rob Roy 1995 and Darkman 1990 which is an original superhero movie Sam Ramie made before he got the rights to do the Spiderman movies. Another great movie like this is the first Jack Reacher (Which has a great Amazon series named Reacher)
I liked him in Next of Kin as well
_Man On Fire_ .
The Reacher series is great.
This can't be the first time yall seen this. This movie was 🔥🔥🔥
Liam Neeson was already a veteran actor at the height of _Taken_ or _Star Wars_ , you should add to your watchlist Liam Neeson's _Michael Collins, Rob Roy,_ and _Schindler's List_ .
When they say "edge of your seat" they are talking about
movies like this. The last 40minutes I was literally on the edge of my seat in the theater, the tension was so intense.
For more dark thrillers I would also love to recommend: Stir of Echoes, Edge of Darkness, Gothika, Collateral, and Copycat 😉
I remember seeing this in theaters only because my guy friends all wanted to. I ended up reacting out loud more than any of them at the same parts you guys did lol. The entire theater did it seemed like. People were very excited about this movie lol
Can we talk about how awesome it was how he just walked away from the guy hooked up to the light switch? Stone cold killer.
I seriously recommend "Unknown" with Liam Neeson also. Other than Taken it's probably the best out of the whole Liam Neeson action saga.
22:05 Remember the electrical current in most EU countries is 220v ... Double that of the US's 110v... 110v will give you a good jolt but 220v can do some serious damage if you stay in contact with it long enough
"How do you compete against a real horse??" (Director Francis Ford Coppola's brain turning over...)
That the thing about Brian Mills. On one hand, he's a lovely father and an all-round nice guy who's mostly likely go out his way to protect people like the singer despite the fact that she disrespect him. But on the other hand, he can be a ruthless killer who wouldn't hesitate to kill anybody who either gets in his way, sees as a threat or piss him off. In both all three movies and the Taken TV series, Brian Mill have proven that he's the type of guy you don't want to mess with
Thank you.
I'm ambivalent about the first sequel. It screams "sequel" loudly, but it actually gives the wife and daughter something to do. The second sequel has a whole different plotline, and the twist is very depressing.
Similar roles Neeson has done include "Unknown," "Non-Stop," "A Walk Among the Tombstones," and "Run All Night." Plus several others that I haven't seen and can't recommend good or bad.
Also check out Mel Gibson's "Edge of Darkness."
YO YALL HAVE BEEN ON A ROLE🤪🤪it’s a trilogy to this too!!! Y’all have to do it. Top tier movie reactions🤩 Y’all are the absolute best
"Ugh, it's Captain Buzzkill" 😂😂😂
Still one of the best lines from Deadpool. "...Liam Neesen nightmare, I dreamt I messed with his daughter and he wasn't having it".
When a woman/girl travels alone there is always a risk. Paris is beautiful, but like every place in the world, it has it's fair share of problems.
The sequel was good too, and when filming this movie Liam Nesson came across a young woman who's ex would not stop harassing her, and took a phone call for her basically threatening the guy. The ex never called her again. LoL
I will never forget the first time I saw this movie. It's a great movie, but it also really made me realize that this sort of thing happens. That is the single most terrifying realization I have ever had. It also made me pay attention. When I'm out, if I keep an eye out for suspicious activity focused on women. If I ever have a daughter, I suspect that this movie will give me nightmares.
@@jacobwalsh1888 teach her well. Raise not a princess, but a warrior.
I went to Paris/Europe with my sister on a school trip and it was one of the most amazing things I ever experienced, but there were dangers too. Like it was said here, be aware of your surroundings, don't inherently trust strangers, and if all else fails make a scene to get someone's attention that can help you.
There's no way on earth I'm letting my kids travel alone to another country. When they become adults, they can do what they want, obviously. The two girls had zero street smarts. They wouldn't have even survived in the streets of there own city. But, yes, let's let them travel across the world by themselves. What a brilliant idea!😒🙄
@@skbwolverine you have to let them go at some point. Teach them well, train them better, and let them go. To more resistance they get from you as a parent the harder they'll push back.
@@c.b.barlow Well, yes. You have to let go at some point. But rules and boundaries are set for a reason at certain ages-especially in a situation like this. I've already raised two boys of my own and helped raise two step daughters. None of them would've been granted this scenario at age 17-not without a chaperone. It's not too much to wait until you become an adult. Paris isn't going anywhere.
He went off in this movie. Good action. If you want an older movie Dark Man, Rob Roy are good.
Andrew Sawyer Thumbs up for recommending Rob Roy. I love that movie & the chemistry between his character & Jessica Lange's.
@@cathleencooks748 Welcome Cathleen.
grew up watching this movie with my dad and love it
Seth MacFarlane does that "particular set of skills" speech as Kermit the Frog. Hysterical.
"I have a particular set of skills"...Never expected that from Liam! Great reaction!
This is the movie I like to watch when overly frustrated and just continually yell, "Stupid, stupid girl" at the beginning when they're making terrible decisions.
Luc BESSON is the best french scriptwriter and director for me,
List of these movies: Leon, Fith Element, Kiss of the Dragon, The Transporter, Unleashed, Colombiana, Taken...
love your react guys 👍👍
That was ironic that you jokingly mentioned brain swelling in the intro. That was how Liam Neeson's wife Natasha Richardson tragically died in 2009, after an apparently minor fall while skiing, where she bumped her head.
You guys had me dying laughing with the reactions 😂 great movie !
So are you guys going to watch the other 2? They are definitely worth seeing
This film (along with Batman Begins around the same time) kickstarted Liam Neeson's career as an action star. It's been nice to have such a wave of older action heroes in the past 10 years, and not just that Expendables stuff. People like Dave Bautista, Michael Rooker, Keanu Reeves, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Bob freaking Odenkirk...
Rule number ONE when traveling, when a stranger randomly comes up to you and asks you to do something (take a cab, go to a bar for a beer etc), do NOT do it. 9/10 times it's a scam or worse.
