Used my Batton II once to look under the hood like you did in your opener, I then closed the hood without removing the flashlight! When I got back in the car and could not find the light, I realized I left it stuck to the bottom of the hood. The hood release would no longer work since it was in a bind. I had to go find some screwdrivers and manually activate the release! Fortunately, I had another Olight flashlight to use to see the hood latch assembly in the dark!

Flex has deep carry as well if using the other end of the pocket clip so is hidden all the way too. Much more versatile than the Arkfeld to me as I never need uv or a laser. Like the dual beam of the flex too.
Arkflex is my favorite of the three variations of the Arkfeld so far. Love the adjustable head and it carries so comfortably
I'm luvin this design it would definitely come in handy for EDC

Great review in the light. Quick question about how you said it would be better if it could clip to the top of your brim and flex down......if it did that, wouldn't you then not be able to clip it to the strap of your pack and flex it to shine I'm front of you????

I too would like to be able to clip this to a cap on the top of the bill to minimize the chance of having it drive into my head if I fell or ran into something (video at 3:30). However, it could not mount at the top this way as the hinge is opposite the mounting point. After thinking about it some more I wonder if the clip could have a bottom mounting point that would allow that since the final version has a dual or S clip. Otherwise I think I would generally just attach it somewhere else as you demonstrated. The Arkflex just begs for a neutral white version. This would have also reduced backscatter from the mist. I do like how they have now used a contrasting color button and put a scallop opposite the power button to aid in finding it. I plan on ordering one or more if they come out with a neutral white version. I find the cool beam of the prototype to just flatten out the perspective and reduce the ability to distinguish wiring, clothing, or other colors. Here's hoping Olight tweaks the innovative Arkflex just a small amount.
