The lead violinist played so passionately she literally tore one of the strings of her violin bow. I love her.

she is an excellent musician but with nothing to do with the ferocity of the bow, but with making the violin cry in sadness., for this opening.

Have listened to this piece by numerous other orchestras and this is by far my favorite version! Magnificent in passion largely in part to the lead violinist but also the entire group of musicians. Bravo ! Bravo Bravo! Your work and talents are gifts to the world!! Thank you. Truly from this American

The leader played her heart out in this. An amazing version of this piece on music? Congratulations.

I love it. This has the 'bloody fangs' in the performance that I think belongs there. Cut loose, outlandish. I want to see this much gusto from big old pros. That concertmistress NAILED It. Others, too, but she's clearly front and center... and GETS it!

An outstanding performance, especially by the violin soloist. Why didn't the conductor acknowledge her during the audience ovation? Unforgivable.

That concertmaster .... so aggressive, savage, uninviting, rare, not supposed to be there.
This violin is how i think this is supposed played. Beautiful.

Ca m'a plu, mais il est quand même dommage de s'être dispensé du xylophone, un instrument rare et que pour une fois on aurait dû avoir l'occasion d'entendre -- d'autant qu'il est inclus dans la partition précisément pour qu'on le remarque.
