“We’re not racists.”
😂😂😂😂😂😂 - I can imagine that being something Alan Partridge would say!
I was told that in San Francisco it is considered rude and un-PC to give directions saying "straight ahead." You should say "directly forward" instead...
@@goytabr how are they any different in assertiveness ??
@@AceCrickey, "straight ahead" is apparently construed as heterosexism in a city with a very large LGBT+ population. But I'm not from SF and don't know how serious or how much tongue-in-cheek that is.
@@goytabr what a world!
@Main Drag Music thank you for the straight ahead response.
As a young adult who also needs wheelchair assistance at the airport, I love seeing this. Happy travels to you both. ❤️
Is so embarrassing tho i hate the way people look at me like you are in your 20’s and dont look disable… not knowing i hardly can function.
3:44 ....I`m rolling on the floor at Noel`s remark...classic !
Its awesome that Rach came with you! The videos with both of you are awesome! Also big shout out to the wheel chair guy! He gave amazing service!
I cringed at the White and Black Coffee - was funny :). I like First Class Rach joining you on your travels. The cabin looks really spacious and modern.
I mean what else would you call it? It is white or black coffee.
@@Theytoldmetodoit1 Yes of course, that's what it is. I think it's just a bit cringe when the server questioned about the coffee. :)
> 3:46
1 black coffee, 1 white coffee pls. White coffee?? I mean coffee with milk. We're not racist 😂😂😂👍
> 3:51
Hey, that's a smooth one 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Noel: White coffee
Barista: So, you have chosen death?
Think they are called Flat White Coffee in Britain, Australia and New Zealand.
There are no "White Coffee" in America except for export café (Huge Jackman own a café that sold Flat White in NYC) and the closest to it you can order in America is an expresso then ask for milk (or cream) or spanish style "Cafe con Leche (literally Coffee with milk)"
@@cosplayshop What is racist about white or black coffee? Trust America to make it racist
@@cosplayshop It's more complicated than that. Creamed coffee in Europe is often shorthanded as white coffee. Flat white is something completely different. America is very racially sensitive. When you ask for coffee as in drip style coffee, you are prompted option for "black or ?" but never another choice of "white"... If you dare say "white" coffee, you would be called a racist.
Flat white is like a cappuccino but with firmer froth, very popular in Australia and difficult to make. White coffee is coffee with some cold milk added for you by the barista
@@_w_w_ Well, that's actually the point, there are no "Black" or "White" Coffee in the US, if you order a coffee, they will give you a coffee, unless you order it by the name (like Double Soy Macchiato)
Not sure about Europe, but as I said, in the UK, Australia or New Zealand, if I order a White Coffee in Star Bucks, they will give me a Flat White (There are also Long White, but, again, you need to order it specifically) And since Noel didn't specify what "White" coffee he is after, and him being British and being an American lived in the UK and Australia for over 20 years combine I would suggest he asked for a flat white.
As for whether or not that is racist, well, it depends, are "All Black" (New Zealand Rugby Team) racist? how about "All White" (New Zealand Soccer Team)? or Red Skin (Washington State American Football Tea,)? Well, the first 2 apparently is no harm no foul, but the last one has changed after BLM movement (Red Skin refer to Native Indian by the way) So, that is just anyone guess. But if you don't know what it was called, it's no surprised that it will stun you to hear it the first time, I tend to chalk it up to Culture Shock.
Hey Noel- A little more info on the ATC delay. When they activated the new procedures they reduced the arrival acceptance rate in order for the controllers to get up to speed as well as to find potential issues that were not expected with the new procedures. This usually only lasts a few days. Enjoyed the video!
I have flown Breeze several times. I like it. The delays are unfortunately common. I travel solo and I have yet to fly with a seatmate which makes the flight very comfortable although also speaks to how relatively empty the flights are. My favorite thing on Breeze is the captain speaks to flight from the cabin instead of the cockpit which I think is a nice touch.
Breeze is great took the whole family to NOLA for a weekend. Bought the cheapest tickets and everyone just took a backpack so it was super cheap. Plane was cleaner and staff friendlier than my last trip on American by far. Looking forward to flying again but right now they only have 3 destinations. Hoping they add some going west preferably Vegas. Enjoy southern food it’s the best get some biscuits and gravy and some real fried chicken forget that KFC garbage.
Hi Noel and Rach! Nice to see that you’re traveling in the States again. If you’re ever in the greater Orlando area would love to meet up and buy you and the missus a beer. Cheers!
So it's about two years since I first watched this video. I forgot how cheeky Rach can be! 😊
Since then I became disabled with limitations similar to Rach's. I needed to go to New Orleans and the Breeze price was half...but I had trepidations, because I've been poorly treated by other low cost airlines. Rewatching the video inspired me to go for it.
At this time I hope Rach is back to her self from that scare in LV. Keeping her boys in line and that includes you, Noel! ❤❤❤
. Thank you so much, Noel for bringing Rachel. It is a family touch to your videos to see you two traveling together.
Speaking of low cost airlines, those Alabama and Florida mosquitoes are known to carry off small children.
Thanks for the shout-out to #FLYHSV and #FlyBreeze, Noel and Rachel, we hope you will fly with us again, safe journeys!
I aint even know yall had a yt tbh lol
I took Breeze for the first time last week from Pittsburgh to Norfolk, Virginia. This video really helped prepare me on what to expect! With a $47 fare, we had no reservation upgrading to "Nicer" for $50. Definitely worth it for checked bag, carry-on, and extra legroom. We were on an E-190. Looking forward to someday taking an A220 with them! Certainly hope they succeed. Thank you Noel for your amazing content!
I really find these videos with the two of you travelling together as very sweet and heartwarming. Especially flying FR to Spain was a fun episode.
Also I appreciate how all the airport special assistance is included. It's interesting to hear/see about it, as somebody who doesn't need that service, which empowers and enables air travel for more persons.
Just went through Huntsville's airport a few months ago and the staff are super friendly! Glad to see they were really accomodating!
Air Traffic Controller here...delays are often set in place by ATC to help normalize the traffic flow in/out of a certain airport or area. This can be due to weather, an influx in traffic, airport construction/restrictions, etc. We’ll often get Ground Delay Programs, Estimated Departure Control Times, or Call for Releases. Essentially there’ll be a standard instance of delaying all aircraft on the ground indefinitely, setting a time restriction on departures, or releasing aircraft on a case-by-case basis. This normally only effects arrivals into a certain destination rather than departures trying to get out of a certain location.
What was the issue with ATC in the US a few weeks back? It was perfectly timed with southwest’s delays.
You should see the new Breeze A220-300 cabin. They have 36 large first class recliners up front. Apparently, the seats will be a $20 to $50 up-charge depending on the route.
Great work, mate! Great to see your better half with you.
Here in the US, a government agency called GSA selects one airline for each route out of each city that has either heavy government traffic or over roughly 75K in population for the smaller markets.
An otherwise odd example is ATL-Brunswick, GA. Delta, quite frugally, employs a CRJ-200 (I call them Satan’s Car) on the route. They are ALWAYS full.
This is done annually. When an airline lands a GSA contract, it obviously becomes instant business and almost always, profit.
By the way, I love to see McAllisters. They are famous for their diabetic shock inducing southern sweet tea.
Learned so much from this comment- thanks for sharing! 🙏
@@seansull Of course.
Southern Sweet Tea isn't tea its more less tea flavored syrup and it is awesome.
Was born in HSV and took my first flight out of HSV in October 2001 when I was 4. HSV->ATL->DEN. Been in love with flying ever since (now a 26 year old Delta Silver Medallion member living near LGA in New York looking to dabble on unique routes on all these non-legacy carriers like Breeze). This channel is so incredibly helpful and informational. Keep doing what you’re doing! Hoping to find the right premium economy product soon
Thank you, glad you enjoy it!
Awesome video like always. I was scheduled to go to New Orleans on Breeze, but the hurricane changed those plans lol
Great to see you traveling Noel - love the content with the family.
Excellent review, Breeze seem great considering how new of an airline they are! Keep up the great work.
Huntsville is a hell of a town. Huntsville airport actually had the most expensive airline tickets a couple years ago. The locals here would actually rather go to Birmingham or Nashville to get a flight at the expense of TSA lines and missing their flights because of the traffic. When you do find yourself in Huntsville again go explore the city
that "brekkie biscuit" looked like diabetes in a box
It is.
...and does it matter? Nah, because they taste so good!
Great video, glad you got to fly Breeze, an airline even most Americans don’t seem to know much about!
Just a point of clarification, a technicality really, but David Neeleman doesn’t “own” JetBlue. He was their founder and left as CEO in 2007, leaving their board a year or two later. He did help found Morris Air, a small airline that was purchased by Southwest Airlines in the 1990s, and assisted with getting WestJet off the ground too. He is still linked with Azul and TAP, the former he founded and is now Brazil’s #2 airline, and of course has since started Breeze…there are not many people like Neeleman! I can vouch that although his relationship with JetBlue is perhaps complicated, he’s obviously an intrinsic part of their history and was on their inaugural Heathrow flight in August 2021.
I just flew out of Tampa on September 3rd and dealt with a delay myself but it was not an issue in Tampa but my destination into Denver. I am glad you flew into Tampa, It is a small but enjoyable airport.
I'm excited that Breeze opened a direct route between Norfolk, VA and Hartford, CT. There has NEVER been a direct flight from any carrier in the U.S. Thank you Breeze!
Im a Flight Attendant With Breeze Airways. A Wonderful Airline
The interaction with the Barista guy was so funny haha A truly British Moment in worrying that your coffee preference could come across a racist 😂 another awesome video! 👍 your channel and Josh Cahill’s are my favourite Aviation channels 👍
I was over in the South East this Xmas and love how new and tidy the smaller US airports are. Southern food is amazing too!
„give me the stranger“ 🤣 love it Rach
Hey Noel… I always enjoy viewing your experiences and hearing your opinions. My favorite thing about your videos is that you go beyond just giving us trip reports on Emirates or Air France first class and actually fly boutique airlines and go to unique places.
With that, I’m so happy you visited my hometown Huntsville, AL. It’s an aerospace and military hub for sure, and the gentleman explaining the pricing at flights at the airport is spot on. The city is a ruby in the rough for sure.
Hope you visit Huntsville again soon, and continue posting. Love your adventures sir.
Oh my goodness I loved that you shared the experience with your wife. So fun. She’s adorable. I really enjoy your videos and your thorough, honest reviews. Best of wishes this new year!
Glad you enjoyed it!
LOL my nephew just told me he is flying on BREEZE to Tampa from Richmond (north of USA). The founder also founded AZUR and JETBLUE after building up MORRIS. You are a real trend setter. Tampa seems to be an important city for them.
Nice to see you travelled to the city I live in!
I thought I saw you on Friday on an AMTRAK train from Philadelphia to NYC.
The white coffee thing had me thinking for a second. Usually coffee with creamer I refer to as hot chocolate I guess because that's what it looks like. Never heard anyone call it "white coffee" though.
I'm wondering if the guy started that airline under a low-cost budget airline as JetBlue is starting to get into the realm of some of the not-so-budget airlines like American and Delta when it comes to cost, so they are getting to be known for that so maybe that's why he started the Breeze Air line.
I can see my house in your take off video. I would have loved to meet you had I known you were in town.
Thanks for the video. I’m flying from Huntsville to Charleston SC on Breeze in a few weeks.
I just looked at the prices. The "Nicer" is about $100 more than the current Delta prices.
That just means Delta feels threatened by breeze
Huntsville once had AirTran as a discount airline, but then South West bought them and shut down the Huntsville connection.
Aww can't believe you were here in huntsville! We are home to Nasa's & us govt missile & rocket programs. We built and designed the Apollo rockets amongst a great number other things.
I remember on my first trip to Australia in 1990 being asked if I wanted my coffee Black or White. I was really confused at first but once I figured it out it made a lot of sense. I hope Breeze does well. I am a little concerned about the major carriers cutting their prices out of Huntsville. It's a tactic I have seen used over the years to bankrupt the upstarts. Once the new airline is gone, the prices go back up.
@Ted Ching I visited Cairns, Uluru, Alice Springs, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane and Surfer's Paradise in that order on the first visit in Dec 90-Jan 91. Then back in 2008 to Sydney, Canberra, Hobart and Adelaide.
Not just a lot of aerospace in Huntsville, that's where Space Camp is! You should send your kids there! I went when I was about 13.
I lost it at the coffee shop. So funny. Great video
It's so nice seeing you travel with Rach :)
Wow in Huntsville should have gone to the space and rocket center. Also Huntsville is the most expensive airport in the country for airlines. I used to work there.
The museum is great and at least they used to let you climb about a Saturn V rocket. They probably have it fenced off now but 45 years ago they were less strict.
@@zork999 it's since been refurbished and put in the Davidson center that 2as built for it.
@@kingfish4575 That is good. I imagine 45 plus years sitting outside in Alabama weather would not be good for it.
it will be interesting to see how Breeze get on, hopefully they will expand
Lovely video, I’m hoping Breeze makes it. Love Mrs Phillips being along on the trip.
David Neeleman doesn't own JetBlue. He sold all his stock in JetBlue before launching Azul in Brazil, in which he's now a minority (though still the largest) stockholder. He also helped launch WestJet in Canada, then left it as well. When Azul (which means "Blue" in Portuguese) was founded, Brazilian legislation prohibited foreign majority ownership of airlines (this has since been lifted), but Neeleman was born in Brazil (his parents were Mormon missionaries in São Paulo at the time) and raised in the U.S., so he has dual American+Brazilian citizenship and was eligible.
Neeleman still speaks awful Portuguese, not only with a thick accent but also many grammar errors, but his speech is understandable and he's very much admired in Brazil, especially because of the great job he did with Azul, which is consistently rated as the airline with the best service in the country and also the first in history to *profitably* run regional flights in Brazil, connecting many smaller towns in this gigantic country that needed airline service but didn't have it before.
Lastly, if the E195s in Breeze's fleet came from Azul, then the seats have been changed: Azul's Embraer jets all have TV screens on the seats, as in JetBlue. Azul is retiring most of its Embraer jets because it grew too big and those planes became too small to compete with LATAM's A320s and Gol's 737s. Some E-Jets will be kept, but Azul now has a growing fleet of A320neos (combined with A330-900s for international long-haul, ATR-72 turboprops for regional routes to small airports, and curiously, a couple of old Boeing 737 Classics for cargo).
Finally! A Breeze Airways review from you which I had been waiting for that to come!
just add a black and white cookie for the coffees
North American smaller and middle sized airports are such a pleasure to use. My favorites HSV IND GRR YWG OKC.
BTV is also a lovely little airport. Yoga room, glass bridge way with rocking chairs for plane spotting, cute little crepe restaurant
Noel i think your wife is a cool lady lucky lad im a disable guy and so lovely to see her able to still enjoy life
It was nice seeing a video traveling with your wife
Let Rach know we Americans don't use a fork to eat a breakfast biscuit. Pick it up like any other sandwich, or you'll get stares.
Your wife is a great addition! Let's have her in more videos!
Oh give me the stranger. Ha
Providence airport was fortunate enough to get Breeze airways. I've already flew with them to Charleston last summer and literally just came back from Norfolk. I'm incredibly happy with them. Including checked bags, I've paid about $100 round trip for both. It gives me the opportunity to visit cities where it's inconvenient before their arrival.
I swear I don't work for Breeze ;D. I'm just a very happy customer.
OK Noel... How about out West USA with Avelo Airlines... They fly Boeing 737-800's.
They are new as well.
🌴😎🌴
If he waits a few weeks he can fly to NHV and get some decent 🍕
You two are so cute together. I've never heard of Breeze. I will have to check it out. Thanks for the viedo.
Huntsville is a surprisingly awesome little town. NASA has a huge presence there and I believe they still assemble all their rockets in HSV.
Are kind bars not a thing in the UK? They are all over the place here in the states.
Now that is a face of pure happiness. 8:11
We flew into Huntsville a few years back.
Nice to see the ‘I Love Cook’s Club’ ex Thomas Cook a321!
Looks like David Neeleman combined Southwest and JetBlue....course he worked at both (co-founded JetBlue). Sadly, they don't fly from Dallas yet...so no Breeze flights for me.
Liked the seating setup! Middle seats stink! haha.
3:48 the moment Noel realized he was in Alabama
I flew in to TPA this past weekend on Breeze, great airline! Love your reviews.
Huntsville, amazing city, well worth a visit, especially the Space museum... Just dont get me started on Biscuits and Gravy with some bbq on the side...
Wow I love the look and design of their planes, they’re beautiful 😁 they only have 13 in their fleet for now though, given they started operating only in late may of this year. So a few months ago
White coffee ☕ Black coffee we're not racist 😁😆😅🤣😂
Good to see husband and wife. Pray for your strength
Huntsville AL. Home and work. I work at HSV. I was on the Breeze Inaugural out of HSV and we sat in the plane for 3 hours
Should try Avelo! Also a new airline, based out of new haven, CT. KHVN
I know it was early but…. y’all seriously missed out with McAllisters! They’re known for pretty much “inventing” the club sandwich, which is HUGE! At our Mcallister’s, their club is $8 and one sandwich is equal to >2 Hey Arnold’s football head and feeds my family of 4. It’s absolutely ridiculous. They’re also known for their sweet tea! The first location in our area opened last year and since then, I’ve spent a few bucks to sign up for their “tea club” where we can run in and get a free large tea everyday for a year. Sweet tea probably ain’t everybody’s go-to morning drink, but there is never a bad time for sweet tea!
Sucks they weren’t making any food! I’m surprised! Unless they were the only concession in the terminal.
Their spuds are literally just shy of being a full size football as well lol. Ahhhh! So hungry!
Great flight i enjoyed IT greetings from the Netherlands
I Live in Tampa and TPA is my Home Airport, im just curious how you connected through Tampa, when you have to go through TSA when you go to each terminal??
Rach is wonderful. Ask her to be with you more and more. God Bless you and your family Noel. Brilliant filming as always. Keep having that white coffee (I mean, coffee with milk).
Greasy biscuits! The flavor's in the Grease, welcome to the South! 👍😉
Love seeing you travel with your Bride. Rach is so pretty and you both make such a beautiful couple.
The way this works is legacy airlines lower their fares so far below the startup, taking losses on the route that the startup eventually folds or pulls out of the city, when the legacies raise the fares back up, even higher than before (to make up some of the prior losses). It’s a simple and efficient game, but the passengers always end up the losers.
Yea.. Tampa Bay area, our home 😊
Looks like a good option instead of the gouge from the big 3
Breeze has very nice looking AC livery !
Please allow me to clarify -- the prices for flights between city pairs is determined by a GSA (General Service Administration) schedule which has been negotiated with the airlines. These prices can be significantly cheaper than prices charged to the general public. They allow for free unlimited changes and cancellation. In return for the discount, the airline becomes the "contract carrier" for the city pair, which the traveler is obligated to use unless a pressing reason can be provided to use another airline (such as the "flight is full").
Before COVID, reserving a ticket in or out of Huntsville usually put you on a standby list. Good luck with that.
Correction: Before COVID, reserving a ticket in or out of Huntsville the day before the flight usually put you on a standby list.
The above description of GSA pricing is for Federal / Military pricing of airline tickets.
Dang bro. Work for a space firm in Huntsville at Marshall Space center. Coulda given you a tour.
Nice that there is not middle seat.
LMFAO .. "we're not racists .. sorray ... " that was awesome!!
As usual with you, Noel : perfect !
Thanks from France for tout "answer".
Do you know anything about the old Thomas cook parked up at the end of the video?
we need to keep airlines like Breeze and Avelo. in business to combat the pricing on the big 4
I really enjoy the vids with Rachel 👍
Huntsville, home to the Space Camp!
Love the interaction Rachel brings. Get her on more please 👍🏾
Almost hit my screen at around 5 minutes to remove that bug 😂😂
5:11 - an EMBRAER airplane, that is not a small Regional Jet with back-end engines. This EMBRAER airplane is bigger with engines on the wings?
Amazing indeed .
I flew earlier this year on Breeze and it was fine. But I'm going to stick with Southwest bc they allow you to check two bags to go 50 lbs each for free.
