    I remember when this show came out, my mother mentioned that the Enemy could probably choose not to look at the answers, and then that way they could answer the questions no differently than usual and be less likely to arouse suspicion. Has any Enemy ever attempted a strategy like that?

    And now, The Enemy Within's formula of having a cheater bluffing is being used in an American game show again with The Hustler being hosted by fellow Brit, Craig Ferguson though, it wasn't the first time as in the early 00s, The Enemy Within was used as inspiration for the game show Dirty, Rotten Cheater, which combined its gameplay mechanic with Family Feud and The Weakest Link.

      Lythgoe's gameshow would have had a chance of success had the Queen Mother not died on the Saturday after launch.
      BBC1 preempted the show for QM death coverage (and later her funeral) , so the momentum to build an audience was lost. Lythgoe couldn't promote the show much as he probably didn't know if it was to air or not, so no one knew it was on and felt no reason to tune in.
      With that in mind, it hurt the show.
