The band name REO stands for thier names... R for brothers first names Reno(drummer), Ralph (base), Raymart (r. guitar), RonJoseph or RJ (lead) and Roymark (keyboard), E is for Evasco brothers maiden name while O is for Otic, the brothers last names. They are from Tacloban City, Philippines..

You are correct, REO is an acronym (abbreviations): "E" is for Evasco, their mother's maiden family name; "O" is for Otic (very appropriate for their discriminating ears in listening music sounds that they replicate) which is their father's family name, and; "R" stands for the initial letter of their given names.........Reno - the drummer and the eldest; Ronjoseph - lead guitar/keyboard (the mentor of his brothers); Ralph - base guitar; Reymart - rhythm guitar, and; Roymark - keyboard, the youngest whose participation is increasing.
Ron Joseph (RJ) is the lead guitar and singer in this video... short story, he is the one who put up the group, Rj taught Ralph(bass) the drums and guitar, later on Ralph taught Reno how to play the drums. Then Ralph taught himself how to play the bass guitar. Rj also taught Raymart (rhythm) how to play the guitar. Knowing that they have no formal school in their instruments and playing like what you said "perfect cover songs" shows how brilliant this brothers in their craft. that guitar trill at the end 8:32 was the way Mark Knopfler wished he had done it in the studio version that had a quick pause, but later did it live which is continuous. Great job RJ and band!!!!!

This cover by a fellow Filipino band Reo Brothers, just came in the midst of my practice wanting to play too as good as them as well as that of original artist Mark Knofler, Dire Straits. I love reaction channels. Mostly I gravitate to the younger (what this 80s gal calls “The Hip-Hop Crowd”) as I love when they discover our classics without all that auto tune and are shocked they are playing all their own instruments… often live too!!
What made me subscribe to your channel just now is how you get into the vocal and musical nuances. I’m a gal who somehow remembers lyrics and like you, really gets into vocal nuances as well as the little things instrumentally.
I discovered REO Brothers through reaction channels. (Also how I got into Nightwish which is now my all-time favorite group!). I am amazed at their vocal diversity amongst the five and how depending on song covered, which brother is leading. It surprises me every time with each cover I watch! They have an incredible natural ear for hearing the original and come out almost the same. Even with The Bee Gees which is mind blowing!
The lead singer in this one (blue shirt) is completely feeling the vocal nuances seen in his soulful approach to mic. The guitar work seems so natural and he feels every cord like it’s an extension of his body! ! Love it.🙌🏼🔥

The lead guitarist’s name is Ronjoseph Evasco Otic. But I guess you can call him Mark! LOL
Ronjoseph is known as RJ. Mark is short for Roymark. Mart is short for Raymart, the one in plaid. They just need to watch more of their videos to get to know them.

I have watched all your reaction videos of these amazing brothers. And i would like to thank you for recognizing how truly talented they are, considering they're self-taught. Their band name was derived from their initials. R - Ralph (bass), Reno (drums), Raymart ( rhythm guitar), Ron Joseph or RJ ( lead guitar). E (Evasco) is their middle initial and O (Otic) for their last name. So technically, you're right about it being an initial or abbreviation. however, even the brothers pronounce it as re-yo. Anyway, love your reactions and you've earned a new subscriber here. As you've already heard 3 of the 4 brothers doing lead vocals, pls react to their cover of A Day in the Life (Beatles) where the rhythm guitarist sang lead. Cheers and more powers!

I guess that In fact, there is plenty of people doing what I'm saying. Just follow those people in the comments, mostly are RB followers that want to see how other people get impressed by them. Also thanks to this brothers, people like myself had the chance to meet your channel and enjoy your reactions on them. Believe or not, in any of those reaction videos I watch other videos but the ones from RB, so keep in mind that could be many doing the same.
