He doesn't see the job as firing some helpless 'victim'. He sees the job as coming to the aid of the people who are really doing the work, but their credit is being stolen from them. Nice.

Such a bad aspect of most work places, and they usually suck up to the boss who then wouldn't even suspect them to be the problem.
Best compliment I ever got as a business owner was overhearing a staffer telling the new hire "great guy to work for, don't piss him off."
I have been teaching my mom these same things, she is way too agreeable to the point of not standing up for herself.
We tried that with my mom but sadly in the end a really bad work experience was the straw that broke the camels back. Now she can be vicious. She says it is more tyring but the alternative is going back to letting people walk over her.
Being a pushover and a coward are the worst qualities in a person.
Sounds like we have carbon copy moms☹
Not everything is face value. Though I would agree that being walked over is a bad quality when my mom died hundreds of people came to the funeral and said she made a difference in their life. Sometimes we have a tendency to overvalue certain personalities. We hide behind our masks and reify ourselves to what we want to portray versus the reality of who we are. Then when someone who refuses to return negative emotion back to and instead see us for who we are, we become reactive to that reflection and tend to disregard or devalue this proposition. This is the challenge of being sensitive. If you are too sensitive you see more accutly but your are vulnerable. The opposite being a bulldog who can push people but those people struggle with dullness.
My mom USED to be like that, and even though shes still INCREDIBLY agreeable, she has learned to set boundries with people. She HAD to for the sake of herself and her children.
I love this friend. He filters out all the crap. We need more of him. I'd really like the ability to fire some people.
Brings up a point, sometimes we are too compassionate.
Its business
That's a man who doesn't sit back and watch bad things happen. I can't think of anything more noble.
& yet people with that quality are labeled the 'champion of the underdog'.. a phrase thats been used to describe me quite frequently over the last 40yrs. What those that labelled me as such dont realize is..I myself was & in some ways still am the 'under dog', abused & bullied for the first 24 yrs of my life right from day 1 UNTIL I stood my ground & REFUSED to allow others to mistreat me OR ANYONE for that matter! Growing up Id pray for someone to 'be on my side' to stop the abuse, stop the bullying OR bare minimum SHOW ME HOW to stop it myself..no1 ever came to my rescue & inevitably it tore apart the 1 thing I wanted more than an ali..my very own family. Tore us apart, kept us apart for 17 yrs, & the relationship with my kids hasnt been the same as it once was because of the lies that tore us apart & the lies they were told to prevent them from missing the ONLY parent ONLY FAMILY member aside from each other they ever knew, erased the majority of their good family memories replacing them with blantant untruths. THATS the day Id found my way on my own..i WAS MY OWN CHAMPION, NO1 should EVER have to fight a battle alone everyone deserves that 1 person that will stand with them & fight alongside them to prevent a life or lives in some cases from being destroyed! IF they dont have a voice other than their own & theyre not being heard, being treated unfairly DAMN STRAIGHT Ill stand alongside them regardless of whether i know them or not! So call it champion of the underdog if they wish, I call it being a decent caring human being.. the kind of person each religion preaches about but yet stands idly by while those from other faiths or without faith are victimized repeatedly.

Even when the higher ups would directly tell us to take care of something as a group he'd just meander around at the back of the line and stay out of sight and play on his phone until it got finished, then he was all smiles and the center of attention. I was the only one who saw through his BS but nobody would acknowledge his shady work ethic. Made me so mad on a handful of occasions. Worthless type of people in the workplace.

If you are not actively working to remove those individuals from your team who are not honoring the conditions and terms of their participation in your organization, the best of your group will lose motivation and leave you. Hero… you decide… 🤷♀️
Both sides of agreeableness and disagreeableness have their pros and cons of course, but this story highlights how disagreeable people that are good love to pursue justice and it’s very honourable even if they have to punish people on the way
His friend was high in conscientiousness. If he was low in both he'd have been a dangerous personality.
There have been 2 brilliant jobs that i worked hard for and did extremely well in but i ended up leaving because of the vile, bullying narcissists who were overbearing and made everyone's lives a misery. I would have done anything to have someone come in and weed them out.
The worst thing of all is that in both cases they were part of the lgbtq club and they knew they had power over everyone else and leverage - that's how they got away with their nonsense.
Yep.
Alot of LGBT people say the same thing.
Nowadays, people use these labels and terms to their advantage and use it to manipulate the naive.
I cant count how many times iv seen someone pull the race card or the gender card and actually get away with it cus no one wants to deal with the public fallout
U probably hater
@@pinkfongbabyshark-kidssong8533 If you could actually spell and construct a basic sentence i might consider your input. However, as it is you are incapable of either.
@@pinkfongbabyshark-kidssong8533 We do hate you and you damn well why.
@@pinkfongbabyshark-kidssong8533 ehh, people know the truth. He's not saying Lgbt types(plus a couple other types) are evil or bad, but they're currently untouchable if they do act poorly.
Wish I could mentor under his friend and learn his job. Learning how a company/process/system works and then “cut out the fat” or the employees/processes that don’t work or are useless and streamline things. I’d enjoy that job.
We need to let his friend loose on Congress.
There is something incredibly enjoyable about watching someone verbally take advantage of a group of people and stepping into a conversation and immediately putting them on the backfoot. The look of fear and unfamiliarity in their eyes as they watch the energy change around them as a 3rd party has been bold enough to point out what they all felt in the back of their minds.
you sound like a leftist social justice warrior tbh
So, you are, or want to be a bully? Okay: noted...
Its easy to fire an asshole. Its harder to fire someone you dont dislike but just isnt performing
I wish he can come through in the company I work for.
He’s the Warthog! “We gotta start cutting the crust off this shit sandwich!”
was looking for this comment
I fuckin love that quote 😄, but I've always thought, "Yeah, but if something's gotta go, why dont we start with cutting out the shit? Crust ain't that bad by comparison."
This friend sounds like the superhero life needs
It's true, super fun to see the reactions of someone you call out.
''He looks like a pirate'' ☠️ 😂😂😂😂
LOL disagreeable friendships are great. Sometimes the best.
My wife hates that me and my buddy get into arguments and just end it with, "man, f*ck you," "well f*ck you too!"
And then we just laugh super hard and change the subject. She's like "why do you do that if you're friends?"
I'm like, "we do that *BECAUSE* we're friends."
That's the way it should be. Not many women are like that and therefore don't understand it.
I'm a woman and I don't get women. You become her enemy if you disagree or even say cooking this way is harmful. she will say wow you are so honest and then go about the town telling how everyone should avoid you.
we should be able to tell our friends what we think . doesn't happen with female friends.
my man is my best friend and there's a reason why only he could be my best friend.
The interesting part to your words Matthew Huff is that parents and kids can't figure out how to get past a disagreement. So they hold grudges and most often the kid treats the parent like they aren't even alive anymore while they definitely are. And then people can't even say you're wrong I'm right. Or whatever or who cares and the argument or grudge just keep going on instead of a nice pleasant easy going f-off or f-you and then carrying on with normal family life. People are suppose to learn from arguments which are often closely related to errors. There's my rant. Yours was a good one to.
that's 1:1 with pretty much all my friends lol
@@mattgb1111 you are right , only with parents it's not disagreements, it's enforcing your views on the kid which may harm the child or not respecting the authority of the parent harming the parents ego. That forms grudges.
With friends there's no power imbalance. Disagreements are disagreements not enforcements.
We need that guy in many if not all companies, I have had to quit fairly good jobs because of crappy supervisors, one case got to the point of me having some sort of anger attack that I was barely able to control, had to leave 2 hours after leaving my Shift, the following day went to an event where I drank beer like never before and couldn't get drunk(I was not trying to, the alcohol just didn't register) and someone asked if I was ok and if I "took something" in order to drink so much, worked in my car the next day, went to the office and quit out of fear that it would happen again and I couldn't control it, don't even like remembering the stuff I felt like doing when that rage started to take over me 😕
Hi, it's a spirit. And yes you yourself are capable of losing control once you get overwhelmed, glad you walked out. Many in jail can testify that harbouring the spirit of anger just for a brief moment had changed their whole future for the worst
@@claudinasoarestorres4777 had not considered that as a possibility, but now that you mention it I think it might be possible, I have seen very weird stuff during my life and the place does have terrible deaths connection because of a fire and one record of abuse that had been told about 🤔, in any case I don't ever want to feel anything like that again cause it felt really bad loosing control and then snapping out of it and thinking "what the f, what Is going on", as soon as I got out for some reason I just called my family and friends to make sure they were alwright, then got in my car and started driving for about an hour or so, didn't realize it untill I was coming up to a toll road to another City 😕
You were not being possessed. It sounds like there’s been a lot of situations filled with anxiety and humiliation involving those workplace authorities. I’m sure that’s been very tough and irritating, I’ve had a few terrible bosses myself. Don’t give up, there’s a good work environment out there for you!
that's the kind of person that the social system needs the one that classifies everybody
Once you fire your first person it's all gravy. It's the same is for handing in your resignation.
His friend is the hero of a villainous world
i love that friend ... every company schould have this " air cleaning people " that see the things how they really are ... ass kisser can go home 👍🏽
Fuck the companys
Get this man into parliament
Wow! I did this for a decade with a huge company running healthcare call-centers. I was just VP of Business Development but I was literally sent to centers and departments to do the exact same. Ferret out the bad, reposition or acknowledge the good...ensure operations are as efficient and fair as possible for positive productive work culture. Interesting to hear it explained this way. Guess I'm disagreeable 😅
@Tricky Zen Mom
How does one go about acquiring such a position?
@Joel DeJonge I honestly just worked my way up in corporate. Then once enough experience was gathered I was offered that role. I two degrees (accounting and business administration) and always worked full time while going thru school so that I could get the degrees but also have valuable experience. Started out young as data entry (18 yes old), to customer service, dealer service rep, credit analyst, credit manager to area general manager (8 yrs at one company). Then applied for regional marketing manager with a DIFFERENT company (had plenty management experience and accounting degree by then).
After that for one year switched industries from auto to health insurance industry (larger industry so more $$ to be made in healthcare & insurance). Applied for Brokerage account manager (went back to lower mgmt role to gain knowledge and enter new industry). Did that for 2 years, then regional marketing manager. By then I was 28 yrs old
Now I knew that industry and had even more experience in my role. Went back to school for a bachelors in business to learn everything I could about admin, mgmt & operations (that's a BA of Busielness Admin).
Left company to apply for Director, Business Development and got it, promoted to VP few yrs later (stayed there 10 yrs). My focus all along was mastering Finance (business are literally open to make MONEY), Management and Service. As long as you understand the people, processes, systems and industry you can then become an executive in any industry for any company.
Hope that helps!!! 😉🤗
@Joel DeJonge Overall just learn as much as you can and NEVER EVER stay in any role too long. Never get comfy. Once you master a position...apply to another one. Knowledge in any industry makes you money. After being Director & VP for 10 yrs I started my own Medicare Insurance Brokerage and I'm a Consultant for other insurance carriers to this day. This is year 5 as entrepreneur and consultant. I'm 45 yrs old now. So I truly mean KNOWLEDGE in any industry equates to money and success in that industry. Try to figure out how the ENTIRE industry you're interested in works (not just your company)...then work your way up in positions that make sense to EARN that position. Once you do that you just understand how business operates most efficiently...and what screws them up as well. So you can quickly and easily start new lines of business but also spot things and fix them in any department or organization. It's called "Business Development" in corporate (those of us paid to do that specifically. But any executive has been trained to do the same.
And his name was Dwight Schrute.
Bro sounds like irl better call Saul
I too agree too, there are vampires in the workplace ( who take all the credit away from you) that are jerks.
