Damn windows should make a vr
It would be cool if 2 people wearing Apple Vision Pro sitting next to each other could share their screen together/ someone shows the other one a window/ app and scroll it simultaneously.
that's genius Habibi
This feature will happen for sure!!
@@Omar-te6nm shokran ya basha
this is the NUMBER ONE feature that they have to make happen. This and dual screens from a mac. But being together in the same environment is gonna be the killer feature.
that will probably happen within the next gen or two
This is the first video that properly shows the "spatial computing" part, it is underrated
Putting in vote for the 24 hour video.
Luke already did 24h
@@Coresake I have no idea who 'Luke' is but I'd like to see Max do it.
Me too
Need to do something about those circles for the 24 hour version though.
I took 3500 and gave it to a humanitarian aid for gaza instead of apple. I will wait 5 more years for a better and cheaper version of it.
woah, that environment staying feature is crazy
This is pretty amazing, and I like how the vision pro remembers the visuals as you move around the room from work to play areas.
3:21 I like how with the spatial audio, you can clearly hear that his voice goes from the ambient reverb of his office to the lack of reverb from being "outside". That was cool.
I am seeing how this device could change people’s productivity in massive ways. Making work fun… insane! All the different ways you can bring your work all around the house/office: insane!
Wow I'm just imaging how your employer will be able to track every second of productivity SUPER FUN and GAF
that's cool that there's sound in that virtual setting
I’ve watched dozens of videos on Vision Pro but no reviewer has ever answered these questions:
1. How far away can you get from windows before they reset or error out? For example, Can i leave a window in my bathroom permanently and go outside and mow the lawn or walk down the street, drive away etc, etc and come back in and it’s still there? How big is the area it can map?
2. Is there some kind of save state for your windows so you don’t have to set everything up over and over?
1: The distance is impressive, at the moment they do stay if you walk away about 2 blocks, so if you walk outside and come back they will be in place.
2: The windows do stay but not after restart. Currently the VP does not support that feature, but hopefully apple will improve these features.
It can actually detect if you’re in different buildings too. You can open a bunch of windows at home, go to work, open windows there, and as you travel between the two places it’ll keep the windows perfectly in place and show the correct ones.
Watch Luke Miani’s video when he wore it for 24 hours and left the windows open at home while he drove around town, when he came back the windows were still there. It was impressive.
I guess you could go around the Earth and back. If i had to program it, it would have limit of objects. Sensor data have constant volume and are quite unique, so total space required to store it would be very easy to calculate. The only warning you would get would be when you will reach limit of objects, when sensor doesn't work or when something glitch and already remembered object will be matched to different place because of data similarity.
As mentioned: Lukes 24h video shows it very well. Coming back home, all in place where you left them.
I think its different if batterie ends a session but he organized batterie life for 24 with his powerfull energy bricks.
Great video Max. This is the first review of the Vision Pro that actually made me want it. Love the screen capture in the video. That helps a lot. Keep up the good work.
As you headed to the bathroom, I got an advert, which gave me a glimpse of the future. Just as I stand up to go the bathroom in 10 years’ time, I open my zipper and all of a sudden my entire field of view is blocked by a sponsored ad that can’t be dismissed and I end up with very wet shoes…
In 10 years time we’ll be having to purchase virtual dog food for our virtual dog. Imagine Pokemon Go on this thing. 2016 all over again 😅. I guess NFT’s will have a comeback when you have to stay at a virtual hotel.
That was beyond IMPRESSIVE ‼️‼️‼️
Great video! Really enjoyed this. 😃
Thank you!
I went back to a 27"monitor from 32" for photo editing because i found too much eye movement left me with strain. I cannot imagine working 24 7 with such constant information feed, and the bouncy movement could become annoying. Its nice to see progress bit it still feels a bit like tech looking for a home.
Thanks, that was really cool.
I really liked seeing how the different environments become a place to work in and an environment to help remove destructions for you - rather than a thing in themselves (I’d never really thought of them like desktop images before - but taken to the next level of course).
Max comes through once again!
great walk through. thanks for all the hard work that went in to this video.
this is more a critique of vision pro screen recording than the quality of your production (top notch :) ) but i have to say that i felt a little nauseous at points watching the video playback. i’m wondering if using it would cause the same issue or if it’s just a side effect of screen recording being not very content consumption friendly when played back on youtube??
Thank you very much for this video. It's very interesting. The way of working is very intriguing. We are entering a new era of productivity. I look forward to seeing it evolve in the right direction.
Im not sure about having Wi-Fi connected computer sitting on user’s forehead for long periods of time. What will it do to the brain? Or eyes? Will it be healthy?
Great episode! Fascinating to see your professional set up behind the camera. Great work!
Think about it, people in NY City studio apartments, RVs, tiny homes, or boats can all have 100”+ Tvs and workstations essentially without eating up any space. This is big.
How many times did you have to change, charge or swap the battery pack during the 9 hours?
Never swapped, never took off the headset. I plugged it in at my desk 3 separate times. Twice when it got to 20% batter and gave me a warning and once at 10%.
To add a little more to it, I'm surprised by the battery life. I think they really underrated it to be safe.
@@RobertJones-rd5wl if you're worried about radiation, radiation from electronics isn't really a problem. Radiation from actual microwaves, or the SUN are more problematic. I highly doubt you'll have to worry about microwaved brains.
@@RobertJones-rd5wlthe type of wifi you use for network connection is different with those that cook in microwave. They won’t cook your brain. But more research is needed to understand if there’s any side effects in long term. Fortunately so far it’s safer than drinking alcohol or smoking cigarettes or even walking on the street.
The last thing you said about grabbing the timeline and sliders is the only reason why I still edit on luma fusion. I love how quick the workflow is on that iPad app
Great video! Just one question
In case you want to do the video editing on the fly, Why dont you just use final cut pro for iPad on the Vision Pro ?
This is the best review I’ve seen of this
To be able to work with a Mac Studio is a Display attached to the Mac still necessary or could I just use Apple Vision Pro to work with it?
Hi, What's the dual cable your hooking your MacBook up with? is it part of a hub?
7:20 People running across the office with tech toys on there face his hilarious 🤣🤣
What size is your light seal? I've had issues finding a good fit with the few that I've tried. Thanks and great vid :)
Now I really get the spatial aspect 🔥 🔥 🔥
I am interested in whether the eyes suffer permanent damage from daily and long-term use. Are there any announcements from Apple about it?
It's definitely going to screw up your eyes in the long run and just imagine how much radiation is cooking your brain now that you have wifi, 5g-6g streaming through you. It's definitely not healthy and will cause cancer in no time. Just imagine a smartphone glued to your brain for 24/7. It's way worse than that.
Great video! Next time, try it outside! :)
The only concern from me is about your eyes focal length. Some of your eyes muscles might not been used for hours as you just look at something very near for long time.
To accomodate for convergence (basically when your eyes go slightly cross eyed when looking at close up stuff) you'd have to physically move the screens or lenses or change the focal point electronically. Meta has prototypes for both these solutions, I think they're like 4 or 5 years old now.
This is amazing. Cmon!
Great info. I'm about 90% sold on getting it. Going to demo it first.
Hope you enjoy it!
For the moment, I can't see how this workflow can speed up my working process. ???
will wearing this long hours, make you shortsighted ? Since your eyes don't get to focus on far away objects.
Hello thank you for review! Is it worth to buy 512gb version?
Imagine how messed up your face would be if you worked all day every day in that thing.
I appreciate the video very much, thank you. My question is, if you had to rate your degree of productivity with and without AVP, how would you rate it? For example, are you 20% more productive while wearing them? Or 20% less productive? Thank you!
My dad has bought one for himself
And top executives at his company he said it makes him a pt more productive
5:46 - that open messages worked better than you realize! Opened it up over here too.. that’s spatial computing!
Such a long time watching you guys and this is a first time we can see your whole office! Nice one!
More to come!
Thank you for this review. I wasn't sure if I could really use this for work or if just useful for play like the Quest 3. This looks like a promising first gen product.
Thank you for this demonstration. It was very well done. What I have been looking to see is how I can zoom in and out. I am legally blind and use the Zoom feature on my iMac and MacBook. I really would like to see if/how the Zoom feature can help me read text within the windows and also text on a wall in the room or signage such as the name on a store or the text on a street sign. Please consider demonstrating this feature if it exists on the Apple Vision Pro.
So now that the Quest 3 has color passthrough, can connect to either macOS or Windows, use up to 5 displays for the computer, internal battery, and has the ability to grab controllers for games, is the Vision Pro worth the extra $3,000?
Pretty nice video! You proved that the virtual worlds will be the future soon.
I would like to know if screens are stable in places like traditional ones?
2 displat support is coming, it's there in beta 1.1
Sweet I'll look into it.
how would you compare the quality of the "display" you see when it's enlarged compared to your 6k monitor?
I totally agree - this is a great experience. I have to say, Apple pushed this tech to a point where is more than usable daily - so cool.
How far away can to take the Mac virtual display from where the MacBook physically is? Like is it a direct connection or more like Remote Desktop over LAN/internet. And if it’s Remote Desktop, how is the latency?
Great video this is so cool ❤
Tons of reviews around but this is one can make you decide to buy or not
And this is just one small aspect of it.. crazy
Yeah I was worried about how confortable would be, quality of the screen and getting dizzy so much Apple can do
I don’t think having 1 display is a limit of the M2 chip. I think it’s likely a limitation of the wireless connection.
Remember that the macbook is rendering the display, the vision pro just has to rasterise it. And the fact you can have multiple vision pro windows means it is perfectly capable of rasterising multiple displays.
Quest 3 does that. So Apple decided to just NOT give you that option -_- . They literally sold that as a working machine, but not even beeing able to use multiple monitors...
VR/XR is not ready... Hope AR will come back... Let's see what Valve does or I hope MS will come back with Hololens 3
I've also missed the ability to use the Vision Pro's pointing methods when interacting with the virtual monitor, but I expect that ability will come some day. The trick will be to have MacOS receive the "pointer" location and THEN to have the apps highlight the selected field. Right now MacOS apps don't have to highlight a field when the mouse pointer hovers over them. But Apple could add that functionality to individual MacOS apps along with the ability to receive the location updates.
So, I wouldn't be surprised to see the VP's pointer appear on the virtual monitor some time in the future. For a NEW product, this device is even MORE useful than I expected, and like the iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch before it, we'll only see it get better over time as more software becomes integrated.
Great feedback!
I may have missed it but how do you deal with the battery life? I thought it was a couple hours, how did it last 8 hours? I would buy one but don't think it is quite there for me. I would need multiple screens, better file connections than just airdrop and a full field of view. I heard the field of view was not there yet. Would like people to be in 8 k also lol. Hopefully in a year or two it will be ready for prime time and be connected to AI.
Hi Max Tech, Are those NZXT white speakers on your desk?
Great point. For years I have had the need to be able to assign audio to hardware. Example: CZcams to TV speakers and game to laptop speaker. Flexible audio assignment.
Are you a mac user? In Windows this functionality is from at least windows 7, in Linux probably for longer.
Yes, Mac. I use windows and red hat for work but no need for multi audio at work. @@Sajgoniarz
So this doesn’t work with Mac OS?? I’m confused. Were all the windows you had open from Mac OS or iPad/iPhone iOS? Please explain. The goggles seem to have some interesting features. Can one really eliminate a monitor?? Thanks.
This seems really cool. Hopefully, it'll be more affordable for me in the next year to two, and I can buy a used one.
One of your best videos!
I have that Pro XDR display too. Did you miss working on it or notice anything different on eye strain from using the Vision Pro? Which would you choose to use daily?
It's tough. The 6K is sharper but 4K looks no worse than a real-life 4K display, and I can stretch it out larger. And unlike real monitor, I can have it further away from me because now I'm not limited by walls where I can't push my display back further. In my room it would be impossible to replicate the experience. Maybe you could spend 10K on a 98" display and have your desk in the middle of the room and the display further away, but then you run into a lot of other issues. With that, Today I came in and was just using my Pro XDR and was shuffling back and forth through a few windows which is slowing down productivity and found myself wishing I could simply pull one browser out of my screen and place it on the side of above my display. With Vision Pro it takes a couple seconds. Sure I could buy another monitor or even have 4 or 6, but then you run into other issues. Now I can just place something out of my vision floating on my left and right and when I need to check up on it just look over. It truly is incredible.
Thanks so much for the awesome reply!@@MaxTechOfficial
can you connect an ultrawide monitor to mac studio and then go with it to vision pro?
Thank you sir
i have an important question, is it possible to connect a Samsung smartphone to the vision pro, or only iPhone?
Ok the demo of having different screens in different parts of the office was epic.
Did you feel after you took them off reality seemed like it could also be virtual? I got that feeling after wearing them for a long time. Also great video !!!
Can I connect vision pro with Bluetooth keyboard and mouse other than the Apple ones?
Luke Miani says ‘8 hours? Hold my beer!’ 😂
Lol he even slept in the thing
Great catch about the audio. I got my Apple Vision Pro for editing as well but I didn’t want to jump in yet because I am in the end phase of a documentary and I don’t want to experiment. I use two computers side by side that I have a CZcams or Netflix running at the same time. It would be great if there is a way 1st: To control the volume from each screen independently. 2nd: Listen the Mac computer using the Vision Pro speakers. 3rd: have kind of “focus mode” that when you see the window the audio level rises and the other going to the background but you can still listen it. About the keyboard, it will be good to have in the Control Center the option to desactive the visual keyboard and use only the physical one. ALL THINGS THING CAN BE ADJUSTED BY A SOFTWARE UPGRADE. That’s why I’m so excited about this glasses. Thank you for your review. Do you know where we can share these and other feedback to Apple?
What a great video. Actually seeing you guys do work in this device, and getting a behind-the-scenes peek! Awesome.
I can’t afford VP yet (not broke but I do budget 😉) but I’m thinking as soon as I have budgeted enough for it I’ll pull the trigger…
And yes guys I want to see you push 24 hours in this thing
You haven't said a word about your physiology, so i have few questions.
You said you were surprised by brightness. Computer screens usually makes us blink less, leading to drying eyes. What if everything around you is a screen. Have you experienced any eyestrain because of those variables after pulling them off?
Since those screens are fixated your eye muscles weren't doing their job. Did you have problems with focusing your sight at distant objects?
You said that image from pass through was very shaky, however you seem not to walk much, did it influenced your sense of balance?
I made from myself a experimental rat when i bought my Quest 2 and tried to use it for work and when it turned out it cannot be used due to terribly low resolution, i switched to overall exposure. After wearing it for 4-5 days 6-8h everyday it started to mess with my brain and senses really hard. After 7th day i had to quit it because i lost my depth perception for over a 4h what could be dangerous.
Does it connect to iPad with Magic Keyboard the same way?
i really like how the app remains where it is. This is another level of Pokemon Go. Imagine that the app can be seen by multiple people like a Yelp review in front of the restaurant - or a food menu with 3D image. Or even create a bike path or hiking direction. Can't wait for what will come in the future.
Did anyone else notice the audio change at 3:25? Sounds like it removed echo. Was that a editing choice or done by the AVP while screen recording?
We noticed that when you're screen recording and you immerse yourself, your audio changes with it. Those are the little details apple has put into the VP!
@@MaxTechOfficial that is EPIC
How is it with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365? Can you use Docs and Word?
I can see it supports the "One" monitor but, in one monitor I often have multiple windows of applications running. Like, in my case I use Affinity Serif software a lot (Affinity Designer, Affinity Photo, and Affinity Publisher). I use Designer back and forth constantly. Then on top of those I will be running Apples Pages and Numbers. So, is it possible to have those OPEN and in their own windowed area. Like, could I have all 5 open but in different spots such that all I am doing is looking at the application I am using? OR, like a monitor, are they all bunched up in one spot and I have to have them layered on top of each other like I do with my monitor.
Additionally, I did not see anyone try the Mac's workspace feature where you can have multiple desktop's. Does the Vision Pro permit that feature or can it utilize it?
Thanks
You say that everything stays where you left them. But what about the next day? Do apps open their windows where they last were after disconnecting the battery over night?
They need motion stabilization for walking around asap. Do you think software can accomplish that or would the hardware need a version 2.0?
I think software will be enough, but hard to tell until later.
Really liked this video as well. I'm not quite sure I see the point of using this for a 24-hour session though...
exiting, thanks
So the sound-scaping needs fixing. Looks like it needs magnetic, wired EarPods rather than those speakers. A wireless dock for physical connections or add them to the battery pack.
Has FCP for iPadOS been blocked?
Is there any sort of "Lock my spatial environment" setting? So you can mess with the apps and windows, widgets and such and they stay where they are either during my session or when recharged and returned to the space. THX
I just asked the same/similar question.
Almost a deal breaker for me. (I have on in my cart and was ready to buy until in saw this video.)
@@daveaultman7688Agreed. I'd be on board with it if they had a "Restore Spatial Environment" or "Lock Spatial Environment" or "Save Spatial Environment" before or after battery drain. If I were a gaming chair company, I'd be making a Vision Pro (Or other VR/AR hardware) CHAIRS with features such as all day battery packs in the seat back and a hook (like a hat hook) for the Vision Pro to hang on while on food or bathroom breaks.
So cool how the sound change when he gos into the virtual place 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Vision Pro Developer kit…please buy it and try it and review it…can we hook up a USBC hub..HDMI..connect it to a Nintendo switch?
Cant you make your Macbook audio streamed into Vision Pro and just keep the airpods connected to Vision pro?
i wonder if they could bring eye tracking and gestures to other apple devices?
Can you sit screens and keyboards flat on a desk so you have a bit more touch feedback?
Thank you for the video; I really enjoyed it and look forward to an exciting future. I can see immense productivity gains stemming from one's ability to become laser-focused in their work. It will be interesting to hear if people experience any muscle, back, and neck pain after prolonged use of the device.
In my personal experience, having worked in the engineering software field for over four decades, it was quite 'normal' to clock in 60 to 70 hours or more per week. Work consumed much of my time, and the concept of work-life balance wasn't prevalent then. Now, at 61 years of age, my early years spent on a computer have led to continued issues with my neck and back. Correct posture was never emphasised back then. 👏👏
True, this will make productivity so much better as long as you don’t get distracted immersed in CZcams, or Reddit memes or something…
9:48 I love the look of Vision Pro & AirPod Max 😍
Yes do a 24 video please!
How is the lossless audio quality with the new airpods pro 2 ?
I want to put one important question I am curious about the eyes, do they get tired or no? Does it have bad impact on your eyes or no?
Are you constantly switching batteries for the 8 hr duration?
im all for this being main stream for a few reasons 1. I can do work outside. 2. I can stop using a mouse and keyboard like normal which gets my arms moving. It would also make going out more bearable. I think I will get into this in the next few generations. This still has a lot of issues that need to be fixed such as the headband over the top of the head, the video quality and jumpyness and actual glass on the outside instead of plastic.
Were you pointing or were you pinching at photos and vids when selecting before airdropping?
Does it work with other wireless buds or only airpods? Other brands allow multiple connected devices solving the one issue you ran into.
It would be really cool if they would put a dongle inside the Battery so you can both connect accessories and have a practical use for the separate Battery with the next generation of Apple Vision.
I’m not so interested in a 24 hour challenge, but more so a review of spatial computing after several weeks +4 hour usage like you did here. Then a discussing of the pros, cons of spatial computing, does the hype wear off, or does it genuinely improve workflow/productivity
