Thank You for making your wonderful videos. I started watching your videos my Jr year of high School. And your videos encouraged me to work for the railroad. Which I did, I started as an NS Conductor in 2015, was promoted at Engineer in 2019 and now in 2022. I'm continuing my railroad career as a Amtrak engineer. If it wasn't for your videos, I don't know if I would be in the position I am today. Thank You!
Wow! Thanks so much, TrainGuy. You're bringing tears to my eyes. I never though these little videos that make would ever have that kind of impact on anyone, especially in their career. As you are learning, enjoying your work is important for success. Congratulations...and thanks again.
Welcome to the family! I saw your comment and I am also an Amtrak Engineer out of Toledo, but started my career in Denver. Be safe out there, my friend!
Awesome job Danny! Glad I found your channel and got back into railfanning last year. It has been a pleasure emailing you. I hope to meet you at the Folkston Railwatch. You have the perfect voice for videos. I hope to see you up in my home state again soon up north! Can’t wait for the journey to come from your channel this year! Keep up the awesome work. - Carter
He's a professional radio announcer so he's well trained as well as having a great voice. Best narrator of railfan videos that I've found on CZcams. I'm glad he's passed the 100K subscriber milestone.
Congrats on 100K, I hit it in 2020 and I am still waiting on my play button... I probably need to check my emails to see what happened. That play button would look good on your fence too. Thanks for sharing, I always look forward to some Signal in the Distance...
Just wanted to say thank you for helping me rediscover the interest in trains I had when I was little. Because of this, I recently started the planning stages of making a documentary about Rail fans plus some other projects. .
Danny you are the reason I got into Railfanning. I really appreciate your videos happy 100,000 subs just know all of your viewers including me really appreciate you.
Danny, I love watching your videos. For me as an European/German railfan it's very interesting to see how you guys do railfanning in the US. And I have to say that you talk so clearly, that's why I'm able to understand almost everything from you. :) I like the most when you are chasing the trains and when you show us the whole day of your trip, including having lunch and driving around. Best wishes from Germany Bjoern

Congratulations Danny on 100,000 subscribers! There is no other CZcamsr that offers the quality and professionalism that you do Danny. Thank you for providing this great content to us rail fans.
Excellent video Danny, great you caught two Ethanol trains back to back. Also nice to learn the A and S line designation on the signal bungalows! See ‘em all the time and never realized it,
Danny, it is a pleasure to be a part of the 100k subscribers. You had a lot intel on the block signals and several segments changing aspects from yellow to green and dropping to red. I always enjoy this in your videos. It is an educational experience watching "Distant Signal". Thanks Danny and Happy New Year!
Danny, I want to thank you for all the hours my husband Gil enjoyed watching Distant Signal. He went to be with the Lord December 27th. He got me hooked and I will still be watching. Congrats on 100K! Dee
I've got a sign just like that hanging in my garage, only mine says S.C.L. R.R. PROPERTY NO TRESPASSING. Mine came from a crossing that CSX closed just south of Rocky Mount at Sharpsburg. It was tossed onto a trash pile, I saw it and "appropriated" it. Another great video Danny, you've got the best content on here.
Your videos make me home sick for Ocala Wildwood area, many family and lifelong friends there. I remember seeing purple ACL passenger trains between Ocala and Candler down through Weirsdale and Leesburg, early 60’s. I live in south central Texas, UP here. Great videos Danny.
Another fabulous video. Thank you so much for going out and taping the trains and explaining things as you go. I think I've learned more about how trains operate by watching and listening to your videos that I have in any other option that I've had. Thank you again for putting in the time, I for one really appreciate it… Bye for now
Nice video Danny it is funny the two of them all trains had the exact same consist but if they had the same origin point it might make sense because they might’ve been cuts that originated from the same train that were divided tomorrow on the way into two separate consists for reasons that we don’t know
Danny, you are the super detail wizard. The information you give takes trainspotting ( railfanning ) to a stratospheric level. thanks for your efforts. very best wishes
Hey Danny. Really enjoyed the video. Great job! I am in Bostic, NC near the old Clinchfield line. Been a railfan since before I could talk. Even remember sitting on my Daddy's lap behind the steering wheel (before safety was a thing), at the Bostic Clinchfield yard watching the trains come through. Many times the friendly train staff would invite us on board to let me look out the cab window. Miss those days. I used to do the same for my nieces and nephew. But 9/11 changed everything. Thanks again and God speed!.
Another terrific production Danny! Can’t believe all the information I can pick up from your work. Thank you for using defect data to calculate the length of train. Nobody else explains with such detail what’s being presented…..thanks again!
I've always liked trains starting as a youngster when each line had their own passenger trains and freights weren't nearly so long and always with a caboose. I've never been a student of railroading so thanks for the visual lessons. Much appreciated, Thanks, Danny
Danny those double yellow signals on CSX are approach diverging signals out west on our railroad, it's the last signal you'll see before you approach a siding or crossovers!
yeah CSX does things differently than the railroads out west. You also use Block signalling while CSX uses speed signaling. If you saw the one signal there showing yellow over green, that means the same as your approach diverging for us, but the key difference is it also has a speed restriction. Approach Medium - Approach the next signal not exceeding medium speed. (30 MPH)
Really enjoying your videos, sir. As a kid, I always made my grandparents take me to the train tracks in Titusville, FL when I was visiting them... Fast forward 25+ years, and now I find myself logging the train times in my little town of Winder, GA. I can hear them from the house. I also have a set of tracks parallel to my hunting properties outer most trail and hwy 278 in Crawfordville GA... the guys all tease me when at anytime of the day or night, when I hear the train coming, I load up on my 4 wheeler and boogie towards the tracks to catch him (as long as I'm not in a stand of course). I've never "rail fanned" the way you do, but I feel like buying a radio and a camera to keep in my camper. LOL! Thanks for the entertainment, Danny!
HI Nick! Thanks for the compliments. I've heard that Winder and your area are great railfanning country. I may give you a shout next time I'm in North GA.
@@distantsignal That would be great, Danny! Would love to meet you and see how the pros do it! There is neat little caboose museum right along the tracks that would serve as a good watching platform.
Congratulations on the 100.000 subscribers Danny and thanks for all of the new information about one of my favorite places to rail-fan when i'm down in your beautiful state. "HAPPY NEW YEAR"
Oh and congratulations on making 100 K that’s amazing I think when I subscribed you were only at like 50 or 60 K so I see you have this Hallmark is pretty amazing here’s to a good new year and here’s to many more subscribers and here is to hopefully getting to meet each other when I come down to Jacksonville
Congratulations on hitting 100K! Huge accomplishment!!! 🎉🎉🎉 I’m watching videos while my husband drives and I just showed him what I was watching and he saw your Seaboard sign right off the bat! 😃🚂
The S-Line happens to go through one of the most pristine railroad towns in America, right south of Raleigh, NC, it’s an amazing town, the chamber of commerce is a 1900s Seaboard Air Line brick-built station. The Silver Star goes through twice daily. To anyone in the Raleigh area, I highly recommend spending a day there railfanning. The town is Apex, North Carolina.
Amazing Catches Danny! I started watching you in 2nd grade and now I'm in 6th! I couldn't thank you more for encouraging to get outside more and watch more trains.
No other rail CZcamsrs explain the details as well as you do. No wonder you’re at 100K. If I were guessing, I’d say you have been in the rail business for years. I’d appreciate knowing about your background. BTW, fantastic job.
Congrats on 100 K! That is a huge milestone and well deserved! After all over the yrars, your productions have been on its own class, very proffessional, great videos, great narration and always great source on information and over the time, you have shown us these suuptle changes that otherwise we may not notice. So Happy New Year and stay safe! Cheers from Sweden!
All your vids are great and fun to watch. The way you narrate the vids makes them much more interesting and informative. Much more enjoyable than just watching trains roll past! Thanks!
