Robert W. Service & Germaine interview (Parisian memories) Monaco, 1958

In May 1958, Pierre Berton interviewed Robert W. Service at his home Monaco, bv d'Italie for the documentary series 'Close-up' for CBC Canada.
Pierre Berton was not just a journalist but a real Yukoner who grew up just in front of Robert's cabin in Dawson.
In this extract, Robert W. Service shared his memories of his travelling in the main European capitals, then his arrival in Paris. He was planning to stay 5 weeks until he met his wife Germaine!
As often described, Robert W. Service's tone was a mix of an English inflection, an American drawl and Scottish overtones.

I wish there was more than just three, 2 to 3 minutes pieces of CBC interviews of this important man and his wife. I have to assume that more must exist. But in any case, it was great to hear these.
