    An Instrumental duet with Pt Ratish Tagde (violin), Pravin Godkhindi (flute) and Pt Ramdas Palsule (tabla) at Army Stadium, Dhaka, November 24, 2016, and they performed Raga Maru Bihag and Raga Hansdhwani. The Bengal Classical Music Festival organised by Bengal Foundation. The Bengal Classical Music Festival, an initiative of Bengal Foundation’s Music Programme, is the world’s largest classical music festival in terms of the number of performers on a single stage, audience capacity and duration. The Foundation introduced the Classical Music Festival back in 2012.

    Pravin Godkhindi was born 28 October 1973 in Dharwad, Karnataka is an Indian classical Hindustani flute (bansuri) player. He is the son of Pandit Venkatesh Godkhindi and Padmaja. Born in a family of musicians, music is a divine blessing to Pravin. He started learning music at the very young age of three from his father Pt Venkatesh Godkhindi & later on he learnt from Vidwan Anoor Ananth Krishna Sharma. His first public performance was at the age of 6. Beside Gayaki style, Pravin has also mastered thankari style which he has learned from his father after the years of practice. Pravin Godkhindi is 1st Indian flautist to perform on the 8 feet contrabass flute. He has performed with eminent musicians like Ustad Zakir Hussain, Dr Balmurali Krishna, Pt Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Dr Kadri Gopinath, Sivamani and many more. He is the 1st Indian to represent bansuri at the World Flute Festival held at Mendoza Argentina. Pravin received National Awards for Films Beru & Vimukthi. He has performed many concerts in India as well as abroad. Pravin is the master in both traditional as well as contemporary Hindustani music. He makes the experiment by fusing traditional music with western music which was appreciated. Pravin is playing a vital role in promoting the Indian classical music all over the world.
    Pt RatishTagde is a corporate professional and a refined musician. He began his training under the guidance of his father S V Tagde. He initially started learning the tabla but moved on to play the violin. Apart from being a performer, he earned his undergraduate and post-graduate degrees in music. Ratish has qualifications in the music segment with triple M.A. and Gold Medal. He has performed in prestigious shows in India and abroad. In acknowledgment of his contributions to Indian classical music, Tagde was awarded the National Excellence Awards and Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Award in 2015. Ratish Tagde has established India’s first 24 x 7 Classical based music satellite television channel “Insync”.
    A tabla player from the Farukhabad gharana Pt Ramdas Palsule (born on March 30, 1963) is a very familiar name to the worshippers of Hindustani music, being an accomplished soloist as well as a versatile accompanist and as an intellectual tabla player who has carved a niche for himself at a young age. He was initiated into playing the tabla by Pandit G L Samant, and received intensive training from tabla maestro taalyogi Pt Suresh Talwalkar. Being an accomplished soloist as well as a versatile accompanist, he has performed widely in all the eminent music festivals of India. Outside India, he has performed practically all over the world including countries like U.S.A., Canada, U.K., Germany, Australia, Africa and the Gulf Countries. His tabla accompaniment ranges from distinguished vocalists to prominent instrumentalists, from both Hindustani & Carnatic styles, and also to renowned Kathak dancers of the country. He has accompanied innumerable artistes of highest calibre in his career so far. Besides performances, Ramdas imparts training to the younger generation of students of tabla. For last about 20 years, many students from all over India, are learning from him in our traditional GURUKUL system.
