  • In the third episode of Taiji People, Sam Masich visits world-renowned taijiquan grandmaster William C. C. Chen in his Manhattan studio. A disciple of Zheng Manqing (Cheng Man Ch'ing 鄭曼青), William Chen has devoted his life to making the practice and teaching of the art 'simple, easy, natural, enjoyable and productive.'
Filmed in 2002 as part of Masich's 23,000-kilometre Taiji People odyssey, this episode follows William and his children Tiffany and Max through three evening-classes: taiji form, taiji push-hands, and taiji boxing.

Amazing to see this video and brought ro mind all the good times training with Master Chen from the late 70s and on. He had many students from all the martial arts doing the fightings, push hands and forms. A true Grandmaster!

A brilliant video. Great to see Master William C. C. Chen teaching and training in his club with his students and family. His trademark "go to sleep and wake up" soft relaxation followed by dynamic intent is a great insight. Thank you for bringing this content to the public.

@@MasichInternalArts yes, I have watched episode 1 and 2, and I do appreciate the work that goes into them. There's a lot of noise out there, so showcasing the varied nature of taijiquan and the people who have put in decades to hone their craft, is valuable work.

i first heard of this great martial artist when I read the book written by Robert W Smith way back in 1974. As the years went by I was able to follow him troughs magazine and then social media. In my opinion I think he was one of Chen man chin best student as far as putting the moving meditation of taichi into practical application.

почему для меня это выглядит каким-то сюром? Это же просто аэробика. Чем тай чи отличается от пробежки утром и вечером? Зачем это возносят как открытие какой-то несуществующей внутренней энергии и единения со Вселенной?
