30 years of SelecTech - What Sustains Us

We still use a lot of recycled material. One of our products has 96% recycled content, so. We're pretty proud of that. It's not easy to do that and I think we're unique in that regard.
The other thing that makes us very different, especially in flooring, is we will take back our product.
Our primary product is an interlocking tile. It does not go to the floor. So it's pretty easy to pick it up. If you're done with it, we can take that material and grind it up and use it again. So that's very unique. Aside from us using incredibly high recycled content, we can recover it.
We've learned a lot about what the market considers green. It's not always what you might think. There are all kinds of things that go into it. There's does it give off VOC's? Is it is it recyclable? Is it recycled content? How is it made? Is there a lot of energy in it? What are the materials in it?
We have a new product version of our product that is Red List free. It's got, you know, all the best ingredients in it-bio-based content. From a technological standpoint, it's very unique. It's a material that's hard to get to do what you want it to do, especially in a foreign product. And we worked with some really bright engineers and chemists and came up with the formulations that do everything we wanted to do so and it looks nice and it's got a lot of decorative characteristics to it.
So again, you get you know you get on these paths and you want to use recycled materials and you want it to be as quite green as possible. But on top of, it has to look nice, right? There are a lot of demands in creating a flooring product.
