How odd she didn’t want you showing the cameos Another lovely geo-antique trip with the stores put into their geographical context which I love - a cherry on the top of all the antique knowledge Thank you
Thank you! I really enjoy giving context if the place itself is interesting. She was told by her insurance firm not to show any of the jewelry...seems besides the point, given that her sign says "Jewelry"
Love the flamingos they are Florida classy Style i'm new suscriber found your videos because the crazy lamp Lady recomended to go to your channel greetings from Puerto Vallarta México 🙏🏼
I'm so glad, welcome to my channel! Crazy Lamp Lady is really great, I'm watching her right now myself. I hope to travel through Mexico in the not too distant future! Please share me with your friends
This is a cool little town full of history. Thanks for letting me tag along with you as you share your knowledge of the antique/vintage world. Have a wonderful day
Awesome video! We enjoy watching you explore such wonderful places and amazing treasures. Now subscribing. We appreciate you sharing your vast knowledge. 💖⭐️
Love this little town!! One of the best places in Florida, IMHO. Had the pleasure of seeing the cameo collection that you couldn't show. It's amazing!!! Loved all the antique places they have there.
I love those chairs, I find them in Florida but not as often as I used to do! I hope to represent indian bead bowls like that at some point, I've had many other Native American designs but not those
Is it still there? I'd like to see that! The Bubble Room about 1.5 hours south on Gasparilla Island has some up all year, it's lavishly vintagely decorated
I found a Robert eicholt glass paperweight in the wild and a Richard satava paperweight in the wild too. One was 8 and the other was 4. They are so pretty 🙂
I was surprised that I found the Satava paperweight at a Goodwill and that it didn't look like someone threw it at a wall. The inside is a reef it's so pretty.
It really is! If you drive down to Florida sometime, it's well worth the diversion. BTW if you and Jeffrey and co. can meet us at the Princeton Indiana antique show last weekend of April, please let me know!
I would love to see old Florida. Tell me where are other places as I have to come to Florida once a year. I hate the area around Ft Lauderdale….not big on strip malls for soooo many miles. Probably have offended Floridians, but I am 76 and still is what I have seen. Met some great people and found wonderful bargains donated by Northerners after they moved south.
Hello, Katie! There seems to be a contingent who feel he's promoting molestation. The thing is, he never got anywhere with her despite his advances...and after all, he is a cartoon
George, why shouldn't you be holding Pepe La Pue picture, I don't understand?? Tons of neat stuff. I am also writing down all these fun places you mention to visit when the International borders open and I make it back to Florida.
I look forward to you getting to go! I don't remember as a child that ANY kid I knew didn't get the joke that Pepe LePew was repugnant because of his behavior. Sadly, I know a lot of women who have been mistreated by aggressive men...not one of them cited a cartoon skunk as the source of the problem.
@@TheAntiqueNomad Sadly, I just got an email. Because of State Restrictions, at least fourteen fields decided not to open so far. I have been shopping for almost two years come September to have an awesome display there. My house is becoming a hoard, although many things are clean and in boxes...lol Thank you for responding and maybe down the road I will get to meet you. Until then, I will continue to continue to enjoy and be educated watching your videos!
Not that I know specifically, I've heard of people taking them to a good porcelain restorer but the important thing is whether they can match the colors correctly...ask for references and view finished repairs before you decide, it's not inexpensive
Wow, wow, wow! George, what a fascinating tour! May be your best so far! But...I am sure you will top yourself!!! Be safe!! 😊
Thanks, you too! I sure enjoy little old towns that are now antique destinations.
I stop to hit the like button everytime, because you're so kind to remind me.
I just do it when the video pops up cuz George's videos are ALWAYS good!
I really appreciate it! I forget if I don't have a nudge, I'm glad it's okay that I do that

From my perspective happy to see towns that aren’t that interesting as they are all grist to the learning mill !

Great town, didn't realize there is still older places in Florida.
Not too many
The amount of knowledge that you have is mind boggling!
You're kind to say so! I want to share all I can.
This is a cool little town full of history. Thanks for letting me tag along with you as you share your knowledge of the antique/vintage world. Have a wonderful day
Any time! I like it when I can show off a cute town somewhere
Great little town with some wonderful shops ❤️
Yes it is! I recommend it

Thanks for the sub! I'm pleased that my channel resonates with you, I look forward to bringing you along with me on my journeys
Thanks George! Looks like a place I would love to visit!
Great interesting shops there. Thx for info too
Glad you enjoyed it, I really liked showing that special little town
When I was at UF in the early 90s, we used to pop over to Micanopy whenever we could. Such a quaint little touch of "vintage" Florida.
Just love that place!
Fun to join you on your adventure! Thank you for inviting us!
Any time! Thanks for coming along
Beautiful town. Thank you for sharing your knowledge George. It is always fun to watch your videos.
My pleasure, I'm glad I can make them fun for you!
I just enjoyed every minute of this show.
I'm glad you found that episode, it was a favorite of mine!
Awesome informative video! Beautiful town!!
It's so cute and I love that the antiques give me reason to stop
@32:00 We used to make those flowers by dipping twisted wire into a commercial concoction then putting the petals and leaves together.
Oh yes, there was an outfit in Seattle called Fiberlay back then that made those kits! You could even make big dressing screens if you had the frames
George that was special, thank you. 😊
I'm glad you saw that in it, this is a very special town to me as well
That town looks old school cool. My kind of place.
As old school as it gets! Florida only has a few Spanish towns that predate it
Love this little town!! One of the best places in Florida, IMHO. Had the pleasure of seeing the cameo collection that you couldn't show. It's amazing!!! Loved all the antique places they have there.
George, that wonderful dog with basket garden statue just stole my heart, as did so many, many things in this video! A tremendous little getaway.
The bronze reclining man is amazing!
I do like him too! I hope to go back and see it up close eventually
Agreed. Very impressive artist's rendition of whichever era he was designed to represent.
Gosh you blow my mind with your knowledge! This place is only 2.5 hours from where I live I may have to check it out.
It would be so worth a day trip! I hope you have fun
ooooh i love Micanopy cant wait to come back from the UK ..........................and visit xxx
We're ready for you, we missed our UK folks this season!
George you're so funny, "plastic fantastic" of the 70s. Love your channel, always entertaining.
Thank you kindly! I try to show the fun side of all this
I love this town,it’s so pastoral and tranquil,,,it definitely has the old florida mint julep and magnolia vibes
Yes, there's even a cafe with an outdoor patio here perfect for it
I found some of my 40 year old son’s Boy Scout patches and sewed them on the sleeve of a jacket. Looks cool and I am looking for more patches.
That's a fun idea!
Wonderful town, love the vintage, peaceful vibe.
Thanks for visiting with me, hope you get to see it in person someday
Love the Wassily chair. Such a classic and timeless design. The Native American bead work is amazing.
I love those chairs, I find them in Florida but not as often as I used to do! I hope to represent indian bead bowls like that at some point, I've had many other Native American designs but not those
I love year around Christmas stores!!! My favourite 🥰
They can be so fun! I like when they have vintage or things inspired by vintage that are nearly impossible to find (like feather trees)
@@TheAntiqueNomad I have a feather tree that was passed down to me!
You know there is a restaurant near Tampa that is Christmas all year round. My parents took us there once
Is it still there? I'd like to see that! The Bubble Room about 1.5 hours south on Gasparilla Island has some up all year, it's lavishly vintagely decorated
@@TheAntiqueNomad I guess your right it's been a while since I was there. It probably is gone.
I've enjoyed every minute. Thanks George.
Thank you, I did too and I'm glad you saw it!
A outstanding store !
I really enjoy shopping these places!
I found a Robert eicholt glass paperweight in the wild and a Richard satava paperweight in the wild too. One was 8 and the other was 4. They are so pretty 🙂
That's terrific! Nice score. St. Pete and environs is good for art glass
I was surprised that I found the Satava paperweight at a Goodwill and that it didn't look like someone threw it at a wall. The inside is a reef it's so pretty.
Lovely little town! Interesting story of the Jewish man, Moses Elias Levy. Fascinating. Sad.
I thought it interesting as well, I hadn't really studied him before but he really brought his life full circle!
What a lovely town.
It really is so genteel
Great video George! Thanks for sharing!
Great video, that looks like a great place. So many great items.
It really is! I hope you get to see sometime
Really AWESOME video ......Thank you George.

She had some really lovely and memorable pieces!
Lovely video
You are so kind, it's really a lovely place!
Hi George , this is Katie from Greece , enjoying your videos over here , what's up with poor pepe le pew ? Loved those cartoons way back when........
Hello, Katie! There seems to be a contingent who feel he's promoting molestation. The thing is, he never got anywhere with her despite his advances...and after all, he is a cartoon
I have the matador and the bull!!!
Cool! Hard to find the bull in good condition, I think there was a charging bull as well as a heads-up bull
👍😎

They recently deemed him politically incorrect. He was labeled by the Me too movement!

I always thought bazooka was the best tasting bubble gum
I just remember flat gum that tasted a lot like the cards, that must've been their competition
How on earth did you become a Bears fan being from FL/WA? Just like underdogs?
When I first started watching Monday Night Football as a kid, Walter Payton played for them and I got hooked. Also like their place in NFL history
Are you going to visit, Brimfield Massachusetts, if they have it in May?
I'm not sure, I would like to see Brimfield but I don't know if May will work

Does Capodiamonte(sp.) have a repairs source?
Not that I know specifically, I've heard of people taking them to a good porcelain restorer but the important thing is whether they can match the colors correctly...ask for references and view finished repairs before you decide, it's not inexpensive
dog @ 4:25....just sitting on those books or mentioned in an art catalog?
I think it was mentioned in catalog
The one shop spelled collectibles incorrectly.
Did they use an a? I remember having that debate early in my career, apparently both are considered acceptable

Pay no attention to silly political correct ideas. They are ridiculous.
I love Peppe LA pu! He was just very passionate and she played hard to get! Lol!
