I can't tell what's funnier. The girls bar workers processing that Sydney brought her parents or Sydney brought her husband
Worker: *confused john travolta*
Imagine the worker seeing a foreigner girl walking up and speaking Japanese, then bringing over 4 older foreigners, and 1 Asian that looks like a mafia boss.
Even then, they had an actual good time.
The parents are funnier, because she's done like five videos with him on her channel with similar bars with 'special' attractions
@@zzlai6235haven’t even watch your video yet and it sounds like a harem situation with a preference for Milfs and Dilfs.
Dont worry Garnt Sydney’s parent are basically immune to cringe and embarrassment because they lived with teen Sydney.
I followed sydney back in like 2011 2012. if you saw her old vids back before she privated them you know. u just know.
😂
@@lolmikesenlighten those of us who never saw them with some good examples of her old videos.
@Ultimate Gattai look up " the thundered begins" on youtube. I think the rest are deleted though
@@lolmikes bro enlighten us!!
Sydney is an amazing foreign tour guide. She lets you experience something that you as a family never go to.
they will never forget...
She's just a selfish bitch.
@@alexandresobreiramartins9461 woah now, boy scout.
In the barmaids defence,
Sydneys mom is... well...
Connor would like her...
@DeadManWalking congrats to Garnt lol, I mean girls almost always end up looking like their moms at a certain age, so Garnt’s gonna be one lucky old weeb
We need a new Sydney episode ASAP boys
5:23 half a second later and Garnt would make Joey just spit whatever he was about to drink
I love how Garnt accidentally called Sydney’s parents his parents. So cute
That’s completely normal in a majority of Asian countries
you don't consider them your parents after you get married?
@@SherioCheers exactly bro, they’re direct family
Depends, do you consider your wife your sister?
@@billbadson7598 why are you making this weird? If she is Garnt's mother-in-law then why can't he just call her mom? Is it that weird that you have to comment something like that
I think the reason why they compliment Sydney's mom more is likely because they already seen Sydney plenty of times
Lol my favorite part of the video:
*Giggik laughing hysterically* Be-Because it's Sydney
Connor: Why would she go to a girls bar?!
Giggik: BECAUSE ITS SYDNEY!
I am genuinely surprised how Sydney's parents aren't worried about her. This was her idea
I mean, they are Sydney's _parents_ The fact that she's like that is at least partly because of them.
She has a good husband to look after her, lol.
6:21 Sydney's mom has got it goin on
Sydney really went:
“Yo, mom, this is what IM into, and you’re related to me, so let’s see if this works out”
when you've been dragged to your parents boring shit all your childhood, its nice to be able to "give something back".
the guys should make a list of establishments that they'd recommend to people visiting. i've hear them talk about a couple already and would love a "guide" like that from people whose general vibe i'm familiar with, instead of random people, if that makes sense. not that i'm planning to go anytime soon. just saying lol
This sounds like a really good idea but advertising this stuff on the internet will undoubtedly attract creeps that will then ruin the experience for everybody else. Sometimes the hole in the wall is good b/c it is relatively obscure.
I unironically I learned more Japanese in 30 minutes in a girls bar in den den town than I did in probably a month of study in America.
Care to recommend me which girl bar to go? I am going to Japan this October
@@xcjsmith5310 Oh there are so many that I honestly couldn't just look around and try not to get ripped off, look how much it costs per hour/half hour
@@ianlucht3121 based on the trash taste clip around $30 per hour? is drinks included? It is fine, at least I can prepare my funds. I am planning to use around $2k as travelling expenses.
8:25 that's the most uncle thing an uncle can say
This gives me a different view of the girls bar situation. I had compartmentalized it as pure post-yakuza grift to prey on lonely alcoholic men, but the idea of parlaying it into thirty bucks to get an hour of tipsy Japanese conversation practice with ADHD girls is weirdly reasonable.
Pity I don't drink, though. Oh well!
You are exactly right. That is the objective. You can have a "good" experience but never forget what they are.
I wouldn't be surprised if they have non-alcoholic drinks
I ended up homeless for a while the first time I went to Japan. Was in a long term relationship with a japanese woman, and travelled to meet her family in Chiba, before that happened we stayed a few nights in a hotel in the Shiodome disctrict of Tokyo. Ended up having a massive argument over something dumb and we split up. Problem was my flight home wasn't for another week, and the hotel was booked only for another day. Was young and poor at the time, so just ended up wandering around on the streets for 5 days (which suited my overly dramatic frame of mind at the time). Tokyo is not a great place to be if you don't really speak any Japanese, don't know anyone, and don't have money.
Hilarious early 20's drama in hindsight.
Woah
How did you get by that whole week?
@3:13 OMG, Garnt that is EXACTLY how described it, LOL. I thought I was alone in describing like that, but I couldn’t think of anything else.
3:16 the disappointment on connor's face 😂
This was a nice combination of humor and education.
Hm, now with the thumbnail I see why they were complementing her mother that much.
Garnt is already a part of Sydney's family lol he calls her parents his parents
Well they are his in-laws
shes been paying for someone to talk japanese with her lol.
In Japan too lmaooo
I feel bad for sydney's family but at the same time this is freaking hilarious
5:24 Just 1 second late and Joey might choke his water.
5:23 what kind of doujin story is this?
5:25
Connor: God, I wish I can snag a mum
Channelling pure Kakyoin vibes lol
Mafia boss Sydney unlocked
Did Sydney take her video down for this? Not sure but I could have sworn there was a video on that night.
Sydney can be fearless at times, it's amazing.
My Japanese learning is an okonomiyaki place just off Osaka station. Cool owner/chef and chill crowd.
4:40 that eye roll 🤭
Sydney strolls up with her crew like a boss 😎
I cannot believe after watchin and reading so much hentai, ecchi and manga in general Garnt does not know the word for "Mother in law".
This is what I subscribed for. XD
4:44 girlfriend i guess sydney got girlfriend zoned LMOA
I don't think Sydney should be allowed to come up with family outings anymore...
Sydney has so much rizz
Google translated this to sydney has so much rice 😆
@@Imbatmn57 lmao
Just American
Sydney is culture based 😂
Hearing the idea sounds terrible, but hearing how it actually went down makes it seem like a pretty good idea lmao
Anyone know where Joey’s shirt is from?
Maybe some kind of Persona 5 merch?
7:40 Poor awkward old Japanese guy..... He just want someone to talk to that's why he's a regular customer....
this channel is always funny
If only they would have gone to that steampunk bar...
Babuu
TIL Hooters had locations outside of the US.
"cause Sydney wants to speak Japanese" lmao, Connor calling it like it is.
How was this not vlogged 🤣🤣
Probably for the best
ok, but like, I know a lot of people say shit like this all the time but bear with me. it took me a good 45-60 seconds to figure out why there was a picture of two Sidney's sitting like that.
Shot everytime garnet says ‘they genuinely enjoy their job’
You mispelled "Grant"
No, no, no. It's Grant.
Sydney Bizarre Adventure
I mean... america has hooters
Honestly, comparing it to a strip club catches the "spirit" of it a bit more I think, or at least sets up the analog.
I mean, it's something that doesn't really exist in, say, the states, but it does say something about the culture. Like, it's a whole thing there because, for whatever reason, people *want* that, in the same way that people might want people stripping in front of them.
It's a still a *little* bit surprising, most places if you want a conversation you can usually manage at a regular bar if you aren't *too* awkward/anxious, but I guess JP is just built different.
not really its closer to hiribg a actual escort (escorts are not prostitutes ) you pay for their time thats literaly what a actual escort does u pay them to keep u compony often to go out to deink with or to dinner if u lonely acept this has a bar included in the deal
@@demonic_myst4503 Yeah, you want to celebrate something with your bros/coworkers/business partner and don't want it to be a sausage fest? Boom, girl bar!
Sydney is so funny 😆
30 bucks per hour? Jesus, thats a bloody good deal for most europeans. And our alc is cheap af in Germany. But we also can work through many more drinks than the average japanese customer I guess.
Until Garnt explained what a girl's bar was, I thought that it was a bar which only girls can go to have a girl's night.
9:06 i got so hard Gintama flashbacks xdd
same. also the host club talk.
Can’t be worse than Hooters
Y’all it’s like those male ikemen host bars but instead it’s women who host so this most likely geared towards men. Edit: Nvm they explained it
Doom music plays 1:20
What 30$ and you drink what ever ypu want 😂
One question, why did they call it a girls bar and not a hostess club?
Hostess club is a common translation for "Kyabakura" (short for "cabaret club"). Kyabakuras are similar to girls bars, but as the boys said, they're closer to the one-on-one overtly flirtatious experience you'd find at a host club
@@franktheman7417 Thank you for that.
But I don't understand what the differences are between a girls bar and a hostess club. Can you please elaborate?
Aye man. I respect it. 🤷🏾♂️😂
..So is there a difference between girls bar and hostess club, or is it just a different name for same thing?
Kyabakuras (cabaret clubs) are what you'd usually refer to as hostess clubs in English. The boys talk a bit about the differnce at 9:44
Can even you enjoy Japan If you don't drink?
Everything is more enjoyable with alcohol
oh definitely
5:20 big yikes
clickbait title though.
I think that concept does not work in the states because every restaurant is like that, because that's how tipping seems to work in the states.
Shower thought, but those that make all places in the states like hooters, just some without the stripping?
Its no where near the same level of atention
@@demonic_myst4503 true
Girls bar basicly an escort service with drinks
(Eacort is nit a prostitute you pay an escort to spend time with u somtimes u take them to a party if u lack a fate u can pay one to come with u escorts are legal even when prostitution is ilegal in many places)
Your first mistake was asking Sydney where to go. The second is agreeing to go where Sydney suggested.
Bro thats her sister what are you talking about?
It is her mother, she filmed a video with her a long time ago
Hope you're joking. You think he wouldn't know his own mother-in-law?
Life before the idiotic JS BS really was innocent huh?
I love Garnt and Im gonna sound like a nitpicking dickhead but does it bother anyone else when he's telling a story and then someone says something and then he has to repeat verbatim what they say before continuing the story lmfao
examples: 6:24, 6:41, 7:18
It's a side effect/ bad habit from all the anime he consumes.
I didn't even notice that
He does it all the time. Often repeats someones joke word for word
I think its because of a few small things.
One, it could be his way of accepting their comments and then incorporating them into his story. It shows agreeableness and mindfulness that you are sharing a story with others who are ctively listening.
Or this just proves that they really are sharing the same braincells and are always trying to be in sync with one another
That's the para-social relationship you have if you don't notice.
First!
Cap
No me
When I got my wisdom teeth out. I only got ibuprofen. That was because the surgery was easy. Although when I got my tonsils removed I was given some narcotic.
4:00 ok so they speak to the customer
Elaborate I didn't bother to search this
It’s basically a host club if you’re familiar with those
@@blurb9319 I am not
@@ThatOneOddGuy it’s basically a bar where individuals who work there will talk and charm you into spending copious amounts of money on alcohol. These people are usually dressed up and will shower you with compliments. It’s a unique experience to say the least.
@@blurb9319 I don't think this business tactic will work on me
Although have you been to one of these types of bars
@@ThatOneOddGuy I’ve not personally been there, but I’ve had acquaintances who’ve tried it. Like the boys said, it’s somewhat similar to a hooters except the staff act more in line with what a Japanese customer base would enjoy.
So a “girl’s bar” is essentially a brothel. Nice to know.:)
I feel like you've made the disicion to visit japan after this clip 😂
Sydney's mom does look very very good, very youthfull,at first glance i thought this was Sydney's sister.🥲
