Great comparison video. Thanks for making the test as close as you possibly could!!!
Good video. Thanks for talking them both up. I have both but have not taken the VRD out yet as I just finished the build last night. I will say when I took the Axial out last weekend it was excellent on the rocks! I expected the VRD to be just as good.
The dimensions on the VRD look great. SOLD OUT everywhere.
Yep it's gonna be a while
Not sure if i want to wait or just build Something else
Amain Hobbies has them right now. I just ordered mine.
Good job on keeping them as similar as possible. Good comparison.
Awesome video. Its definitely hard to choose between 2 great comp rigs. I had a Negative G out for testing yesterday along with my chopra and they both was slaying lines that one could do but the other couldn't. 2 totally diff rides but both very capable So yes definitely differs. Vrd is looking nice.
Full 12 gate challenge 3v3 pro, vrd, ascent fully modified as you have them.
awesome video . wonder how it would do with tires reversed from what they are now ?
Great comparison video man!
I’d really like to see the VRD vs Exo1. Especially since I’m building a dirty south from UGRC lol. Love your videos man!
I think the Redcat Ascent did the gate keeper faster than those 2 in your previous video couple weeks ago plus the Redcat is $800(Canadian) less than those 2.
i have same issue for my 10 pro. After i installed HR suspension travel limit straps 80mm to rear shocks. All issue are solved. You can try this thing that can be easy cross the CROWLEY.
Excellent comparison. I think the Pro would do better with more forward weught bias. Both great trucks but VRD definitely took this one. Thanks for the video 👍
Need to do some tuning on the scx pro suspension looks like
Yea there definitely not a loser between those two. They’re both best of the best
Would rear shock preload adjustment help the Pro crawl Crowley
good job, king of daily uploads
Awsome like always
Sick!!! both are my favorite setup
Great Video Brother!!
Be nice to have seen them in stock form and then just brass no axle but u gotta give what u got its hard to believe the vrd not more tippy than the scx10 pro u would think it would be it higher its got portals higher center of gravity just dont make since was you using the 40 percent overdrive in the scx10 pro ?
Now an upgraded ascent vs the vrd
I have the pro which I haven't assembled yet. Still happy with my decision so far
😮! Its still awesome to have an ther should be even more options for when you do get the time to build it👍
Can the pro axels or any straight axel work on the carbon?
Should do the Vitavon full brass axle on the Pro. Game changer!
What is the weight unit on the scale? It can't be in ounce?! I think a Super light or modified ecto perform equally or even better TBH.
wow it was a very good test, the most difficult lines 😲😲😲. thank you, vanquish really surprised me with his level 👌👌. It's a brand that I don't like, but now I'm going to have to change my mind 🤣🤣
Two awesome crawlers would Iike to own either of them
Definitely me too👍
Awesome ❤❤
Are you running stock plastic vdr carbon f10 housing front and rear? How are they holding up if so?
I wish the scx pro had the stock axles for this comparison.
Why you test VRD vs Capra 1.9 🤔, or Basecamp
Very nice Video..! Thank You😊🙏🏼 LG Manuel
perfect comparison of the two high end kits. Great video! A question: can the kit be built with 21% or less overdrive? I would buy it then. 37% overdrive is clearly too much for my project.
Thank you very much for your helpful information.
Change the tranny gears and you would ba at 16%
Change the front portals and you would be at 21%
You could also get a new pinion to change that …
The pro had better weight distribution towards the front, yet seemed more tippy on crowley. I thought another benefit of straight axles was lower cg, yet that didn't seem to help. Is there something else that made the VRD better there? Shock tuning?
I think its mostly due to the brass and the motors were still the same height even with a higher chassis of the VRD, That can be a big deal.
Wheel base
You should do multiple runs and average the times. Otherwise, great comparo.
Cool comparison but seeing both stock would've been really cool.
too much time passed between the release of the Pro and the VRD, I can't keep things stock for that long
😂❤
@@ExocagedRC You can say that again😅😂🤣
I agree especially the differences with straight and portal axles and would be cool to see the axail with stock axles not aluminum. And also the vrd has the axle mounted servo witch can also help a little more with that extra lower cg
New to RC so excuse my ignorance. I just bought the VRD and wondering if/how I could install dig? Is it possible on this truck with standard trans?
The hurts dig will bolt to the tranny
But no one has stated if it will fit back in the skid plate.
Good question, and I think you can get a bolt on dig for the other variants of the transmission but not sure if it's a drop in. However, be aware that DIG is usually not allowed in competitions
There is no option for dig with this trans. You should have bought a phoenix for your first rig.
@@shaynejenkins446There is a dig for the standard VFD. VPS01360. In the VRD just need to come up with a servo mount. Plenty of space.
Its called the Hurtz dig unit, its only for the spec VFD That came in the discontinued Pro and Ultra. And now only in the the Fordyce. The twin VFD in the Phoenix that is recently discontinued also has dig installed. The VRD has no option for dig. The Hurtz dig wont work on it. You would need to come up with a lot more than a servo mount.
The VRD is sooooo much better at crawling the the VS4-10, imho. Nice to see two evenly matched trucks in the VRD and the Pro. I look forward to more of your awesome comparisons.
Oh yeah. Trail truck vs straight comp truck. Vs4-10 vs vrd.
@@rc-daily There were many reviews on the VS-4 as a crawler, but like you, I see it as a trail rig. My LHS owner has crawled with me running his VS-4 against my SCX10 Pro and his rig struggles on climbs that the Pro zips up. I will try to talk him into a VRD or a Pro.
@davidconaway2830 to me, if it has c channel rails it's not built for the absolute best performance. I love my pro, gspeeds, flat rail chassis, and I'll build a vrd next. My vs4-10 trucks are my trail trucks.
😁👍
I just bought a scx10 pro. So good to see a comparison. I'm not a fan of portals, I get why people like them, but after seeing this, I'm glad I chose the Axial.
Just trying to choose a body now, perhaps you can help?
Ford Raptor , toyota hilux, jeep comanche, or ford falcon
I like the Axial body I have, otherwise the Cliffhanger like the VRD has would be it
In your opinion, is it possible to compare the VRD with the Phoenix? Axial pro and Vanquish VRD do not have DIG.
I can but in performance the VRD will get a very easy win.
@@ExocagedRC Thank you happy Easter
What's the price difference in the two
0
🤙💪🙉
👍😁😎✌️
Damn time change😤😠
@@old-rcplane-phart I hear ya it sucks!🤬
You're not helping with my decision lol
Nor pockets😂
scx10 pro all day in my opinion best bang for you buck out the box sure you don't get the vp name but you can add those axles if you already have them
Theres 380$ worth of axle housings on that pro and it still cant beat the vrd. You can buy the redcat along with the vrd and have two trucks beat the pro for that $$$. 😂
Both cost to much
Don't trust a guy with no sideburns
😅😂🤣
Pro has all metal axels vs plastic vanquish, don't trust pro plastics ???? Lol
Hello! I watch your videos all the time and unfortunately I disliked them! I don’t know, but it seems to me that the video is advertising! Axial always has an advantage on straight axles!!!
