If Breaking Bad was a Sitcom, there would be a running gag where Mike pulls up and kidnaps Walt everytime he does something stupid.
By season 5 Walter is so used to it that he just walks up and gets in the car by himself

At 2:08:23 I noticed another great symbol for this scene. The light does symbolize him becoming willing to get back into cooking, but the light would have always turned green from the nature of how traffic lights work. Walt was always going to get back in, just a matter of time.

I wonder how many extra pizzas they had in reserve in case Bryan Cranston needed a few more tries to get one on the roof. Must have been quite the pizza party for everyone afterwards.

They did try other takes after the first one, but he couldn't get as good of a throw as the first time, so they probably used all their pizzas by the end of the day.

Also also, another reason for Danny Trejo's return in this season and of course, Tortuga's death. Is actually because of a rule Danny has when it comes to playing characters who are by definition "Evil".
That rule being that he wants his character to die, to teach a younger audience that crime doesn't pay 😂

25:37 I don't believe it's casually easy to hate on Skyler, she was justified in almost everything she did, and even the bad things are massively outweighed by Walt's actions. Anyone who casually hates on Skyler is just a sheep and can't look past "Walt badass, Walt make meth, Walt gigachad oo oo ah ah!". It's so annoying when people hate on skyler. Like how is she wrong for getting progressively mad and irritated for the constant lies and manipulation that Walt put her through, I know I'd be pissed...

28:40 The symbolism of the main character's cars is one of my favorite recurring characterizations throughout both shows. Between Walt's Aztec, the RV, Saul's yellow car with the red door, and the titular El Camino, the creators have always put a ton of attention into the cars, which I really find cool

I'm two days late but when i tell you i've been waiting for new breaking bad retrospectives from you every day since the video on season one i really mean it. they're so in-depth and enjoyable to watch, and i've watched your season one and two retrospectives quite a few times, often even multiple times a day lol. my favorite season is season four and i seriously can't wait for the video(s) on it !!!! i also can't wait to binge all of your bcs content once i finish watching it :) all to say, i really enjoy and appreciate your videos and especially your bb retrospectives, seriously thank you for making all of them

I loved it and i really appreciate the work you put into this.
It still bizarre that a lot of breaking bad fans side with Walt over skyler. Although it’s gotten better with time and more people side with skyler, it goes to show how effective Walt’s manipulation was.
Yeah there's still people who sided with Walt even after the manipulation, poison a kid, selling Jesse, cooking an illegal drug, and killing.
Protagonist bias + honestly a lot of Walt’s actions make more rational sense than some of Skylars. Effective storytelling perhaps.
Bro to be honest who wouldn't do what Walter does in his situation I think every man would do everything they can to make that his family is ok after he's gone ps I know he could do it easy because of his exs money but still

I’ve watched the series like 3 or 4 times and I never noticed it til I was watching this video and the still you chose focuses it really well!

Aaron's monologue at 3:35:43 is hands down one of the greatest bits of acting ever put to screen, maybe the best in the entire series but there's a lot of competition (Crawl Space ending springs to mind)

I think the staff just likes paying homage to actors by naming characters after them. It happens again in BCS, where the artist who made the stolen Mesa Verde logo, Olivia Bitsui, is named after (edit) the daughter of Jeremiah Bitsui, the actor who plays Victor, who is also Native-American. I also may be wrong here, but I remember hearing somewhere that Gale Boetticher was named after Vince's mom, Gail Gilligan, who also plays Walter's neighbor Becky.

I do the exact same thing with floor plans on shows I watch. I too always found it strange that the house only has the one master bathroom. Also, when Jesse shows up at the house with Tuco in the back, Walt looks out of the bedroom window to see the driveway. The only windows in the master bedroom are on the side and back of the house. I’ve seen this many times in other shows too. I’m glad you pointed it out.
