I am just proud at our boys. On paper we should not stand a chance against Czech team. But it seemed, that we just wanted it more today.

But for Austrian hockey it did. We won the very first time ever against czechia in a wc game. And, we did not play bad. And yeah, maybe it is not important for czechia but it is sure a disappointment that you loose to the underdog Austria

I think Austria deserves regular spot in WC hockey. They put good game with Swedes and the score wasn't the worst. Took Americans to overtime and defeated CZ in shootouts. We will see their next games but they went with strong teams and put a good fight.
Actually, Austria sucks pretty bad. That's why they always get relegated to lower divisions.
Remember Kazakhstan almost making it to the play-off last year? Unfortunately, they don't look so promising this time.
nah austria isnt that good at hockey YET, they are better than coutnries like france or UK but not as good as the swiss. i think they are more on par with latvia. they are a team that can win for sure but shouldnt. sry just being honest, any non bias austrian will tell you the same. dont let these games fool you.

In the comments here you see how fair the czech fans are. I really appreciate that. I know they are disappointed but I think we deserved at least one point and in overtime everything can happen.
It was just possible because of the team-performance. Our preparation games where also good and with 14 WC newbies we have a different team this year. Hope they can continue and stay

Dude after the 3:5 loss against Sweden mainly because of PP's I was so hyped that we will run over Austria and will have a good time watching good hockey.. the last shootout shot from Krejci was like "Fuck this shit, enjoy your win" and to be frank I agree, enjoy your win Austria, you deserved full 3 points to be honest.

One of our worst performances I've EVER seen. And I followed our national team since early 90's. Austria will not beat themselves "just because". Those times are far behind us. I feel for Kari tbh. He can prepare whatever tactics he can, but when the players do not give a damn, it's very hard for him. Only Červenka and Blümel played their good standards. Typical for our national mentality. After one bad game (Sweden), we started to feel sorry for ourselves, we were not trying enough to push the opponent, sloppy, lazy, players were hiding, and overall, we fully deserved to lose this game. Congrats to Austria! You deserves the win. Good luck in next games! And for us, well, if this embarassment will not wake up us, then nothing.
If this is how you feel about czech hockey then it is exactly how we felt in Finland before like 2008 or something like that. I can't really tell you shortly what changed in finnish hockey by then but guys born in '92 like Mikael Granlund were the first guys that went through junior programs where we were taught how to win and how not to be scared. And that is what you now see in finnish hockey.

Lets see how we (Czechs) are gonna play with Pasternak in the team.. I personaly think this was just a bad luck and we definetly learned a lot from this loss. BTW congratulations to Austria you played like a top team and you really deserve this victory!!!

I almost vomitted when I was watching our team, it is disgrace of czech hockey, playing absolute shit in 2 games in a row is a new lowest point of czech team. worst part about this is that Austrians were just better, they deffended our players very well and they deserved to win. I never thought that I will see czech team to be that bad but it is just reality, our players didnt want to win today.

The Krejci Penalty was a joke. CZE played arrogantly and without any passion and when they realized that it could get shitty for them, it was too late to get back into the game. Our boys deserved that win, even if it was lucky.
Nah, it wasnt lucky, as a Czech we deserved to loose. Our team was playing like shit, shot like every 5 minutes and couldnt pass in front of the net, such a bad performance
Tohle mistrovství vypadá velmi špatně! Hráči z NHL nejsou vůbec vidět nejdeme do brány nestřilíme a není tam tlak! Pořád vykládají jak musí jít do brány a hrát do těla, ale nic z toho je to hrůza a nedá se na to vůbec koukat není v tom nic! Čekají nás ještě těžké zápasy a tam nevím zda vydřeme vůbec nějaký bod. Bojím se toho abychom letos si vůbec čtvrtfinále zahráli. Musíme se smířit s tím, že nejsme tým na medaili, ale tým který bude bojovat o to aby se dostal aspoň do čtvrtfinále.
Vo štvrťfinále sa už môže stať všetko. Niekedy je šťastný zápas ako sme mali my na olympiáde proti USA a zrazu hráte o mediale ani neviete ako. Nezavrhoval by som ich po jednom nevydarenom zápase.

@@WoMo091 yeah, Austria did good defending and that won the match for them, norway usually plays open hockey so we score more goals, but Im worried they will try to defend whole match like Austria and we wont get 3 points, same with Latvia. These matches will be hard af.

Such a pathetic performance by us. There was no difference between big NHL names and Austria team. Oh, well there was. Austria team played better than our NHL players. I wanted to scratch my eyes out because this match was unwatchable. Hope we wake the hell up.

@@ShyGuy095 yes, and we also didnt qualify for top 8 at the olmypics this year for the first time in history, so we really live in worst age of czech hockey ever, how lucky we are.
Czechia is just having a bad tournament so far, but that does not change the fact that on paper they still have medal team and that Czechia is top 5 country in icehockey overall. Worst teams in the tournament is Italy, Sweden and UK. Based on the players they have, how they have looked and overall strenght as hockeynation. Uk, italy and Sweden is 3 hockeynations that belong in Division 1A.

Proti Kanade aj Nemecku sme síce prehrali, ale chlapci bojovali až do konca a vytvárali si pekne šance na gol, čo sa o Česku bohužiaľ nedá povedať
S tým tímom aký máte by ste mali tým ktorý má väčšinu hráčov z rakúskej ligy prevalcovať..problém bude asi niekde inde..
A porovnať to s naším tímom môžeš fakt len ty.. my tam mame 17-18 ročných borcov ))
@@PD-qs6rp Proti Švédsku bojovali statečně, ale dneska s tebou musím souhlasit, odevzdaný zápas. Snad budou mít výčitky a motivaci hrát lépe. A vám taky držím palce, doufám že nakonec oba týmy postoupí dále

Noo budete to mat tažké ak chcete postúpiť.. treba zdolať USA, Fínsko aj Lotyšsko (ktoré je ešte o level vyššie, keďže ma dosť hráčov zo skúsenosťami z KHL) .. a vo štvrťfinále zo štvrtého miesta na Kanadu ktorá zvykne v play off hrať ešte o level lepšie než v skupine
