OLADA here Old Ladies... maybe make some slices of the dark ones, only if possible of course, maybe more detail will show up.
have to be truthful i liked the laughing when one of the stones surprise and thrill you. One of the reasons i stopped to look at you. You always made me smile with your laugh. If it is natural keep it, please. I noticed you had put a stop this video. If you are trying to control it well stop, be natural and real please. I enjoy your enthusiasm. I enjoy you as much as your agates.
I was thinking this too
I agree! I love his excitement! I too am excited to see the insides!
I am with you against dyed agates!!!!!!
absolutely! DADA!
I'd love to see the darkest ones sliced thinly and held against the sunlight to see their real hue.
They are so unique and elegant somehow.
Re: DADA
I'm not totally against dyeing agates, but fully against selling them as naturals! They should be marked and advertised with a big sign that says "DYED".
Many sellers do, but many sadly don't.
Go DADA! I so agree! Nature chooses the best colors. These were gorgeous!
BLUE agates???!!!! Holy cow! Keep laughing, always makes me smile after a long day.
Finally!
Someone doing the blues!
👍🇺🇸
The one with the quartz running through the middle look like sandwich cookies. They could be polished into discs and advertised as petrified Oreos ☺ . I use captions and the generator doesn't know what to do with the word "agate." My favorites so far are eggs, erget, OTS, egret, eggot, and igot.
😂😂😂
The very dark ones would probably work really well for jewelry, especially if you used a bright metal to contrast
I wonder if a thin cut on some of the dark ones might show the banding better. Fun video. Never stop being excited and happy, it is part of why I love watching you.
I was thinking the same
LOL! I'm a mom, I need a different sticker. The 3rd one is my favorite with fan spray.
Sticker for the mommas… moms against modified agates…mama !
@@michellestenton6430 Exactly!!!!
Made me laugh😅, Dada! Thanks agate dad, love real agates!!!
I don’t know much about agates other than the cool stuff you share here and had no idea folks dyed them but I definitely would want what nature made. I personally liked those first few you cut that were black they would make great cabs for the walking sticks I make! Currently I recycle granite and marble countertops for them. Great video and definitely don’t tone down your laughter through life! ❤
A great idea could be to slab the darker ones and put a light behind them to show their detail.
IMO, the dark ones can be the most beautiful!
Oh wow....I love those ones....❤❤❤❤
I love this, it's like Christmas every time ! Thank You! God Bless.
God bless you too!
The Heifer is really neat! 🐄
beautiful last agate!
I’m always apprehensive about dyes when purchasing agates. Can you give a small tutorial of what to look for?
Those were some beautiful PNW agates❤
My favorite one too! Thanks for sharing all your fun with us. ❤
I'm against dying any stone, especially agates. I absolutely loved the long, narrow one with the band of quartz down the center at 3:11. I also loved the one at 5:40..I thought it looked like butterfly wings. Thanks for sharing with us; I look forward to your posts and always enjoy every minute.
This was an amazing video Taylor such beautiful rocks and all natural too!!! I’m not a rock person I just love your reveals, they amaze me!!! Who knew rocks could be so beautiful, certainly not me!!!
The 3rd one is like looking T the 4th of July. Beautiful 😊
For sure!
😮 Very exciting cutting session! 😂 Unique agates, can't wait to see them polished😊❤
(Sorry, my emoji was laughing!)🤣😂🤣😆
Would love to see some of those back-lit ❤
i actually really like the darker ones without much detail! i know agates are wanted for their designs, but the darker ones are just so beautiful and give off a simple elegance that i enjoy
Tidewater is an absolute legend!! Always love watching their videos, reels and TikTok’s!
Gorgeous blue agates! Thanks for sharing! 😊
Oh yes! That last one.
Loved each cut... like opening a gift every time
Thank you for another awesome video. Some of them were so beautiful
Another enjoyable watch, great as always, my thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
I really don't know one rock from the other, nor did I know you can DYE a rock. I have, however, been enjoying your tutorial and enthusiasm of what you share. Thank you!
Blue agates - cool didn’t know they existed
The arrow head looking one is beautiful.
You always have the instinct to save the best for last! My favorite!
Blue light on these might help show off the hidden bands in the dark ones.
Those are great! The one with the black side and quartz middle…favorite ❤
The 3rd agate was wow, just wow. I thought it looked like a fireworks show. Awesome! Happy belated 4th.
Thank you! You too!
They look like little miracles to me I just love watching
Nice!!!
Oh, it was very interesting, I've never seen black agates before, so I liked all of them but my favorite was the last one.
I am so with you where dyed agates are concerned!! Just say NO!
Some beauties today. That last one was fabulous!
I was wondering if you were familiar with Ellensburg Blue. It's a type of blue agate that occurs only in one place:Ellensburg WA in the Pacific Northwest. You generally find it either as specimens or in jewelry.
Very pretty!! I loved the one with the quartz inside that looked like a butterfly when the two sides were held together!🦋
I love the last one you cut it's amazing.
Wow...those are beauties. First time I've seen these cut. Thanks for the content. I don't get that far south to hunt for those but maybe this fall/winter. I'd love to put a hunt for blue agate video together. Fred
These are my absolute favorite to find, only a few minutes away from where I live to find them, great cuts! Beautiful ❤
What area are they found? We’re in SW Washington.
I don’t need an exact location, just a general area.
Are they in the rivers, or on the beaches?
Oh so beautiful! ❤ As you say awesome. I’d like to see what a cab would look like from those dark ones. Some of the smaller beauties would make beautiful pendants. ❤❤
Wow! Some of those are amazing! That last one is my FAVORITE ❤
Funny…when you buy Manganese at the pharmacy…it’s
NOT BLUE…maybe we should send them a #DADA STICKER!!😂😂
Looking forward to seeing them at Etsy soon. 💙
These are beautiful agates!! Thank You!
LOVE them! Thanks for sharing them with us!
Love Blue Agates And You Do Such A Great Job!
Some of the really dark ones should have bands that glow under UV.
I tried with a few and didn’t see anything
@AgateDad that's a bummer. I live in Washington state and have a couple of the really dark blue and black agates and under UV there are some ghost bands that look pretty cool.
Miss your laughing on all beautiful cuts
It was there a couple times lol
Yay, some agates within driving distance for us!! 😁
Love your videos, and keep laughing! I get the same enthusiasm when I cut stuff open!
Wow! Nature is so beautiful! God is so cool! 🤩
Thank you for your content! It never gets old (the saw will always make me nervous when it gets near your fingers 😅)!
Btw- "stud-muffin" made me lol. I'm gonna start using that😂
Amazing color! I bet they would shine under blue light.
Gorgeous!
1:51 looks like a galaxy so beautiful
I lied. Stud-muffin is my fav now. :)
Omg I’m with you, I HATE when people dye natural things, especially rocks and minerals
Another fun video! I love your channel. Keep the great videos coming and never, ever change your personality. Your excitement is infectious. I too felt you were trying to dial back your true excitement. Be yourself. You are awesome!
Like the third one you cut!
Love the last agate , reminds me of a Dalmatian dog !!
You have an unique collection
Oh wow. Those are gorgeous 😍❤️
I would love to c those what u cut and didnt show👍💕👋🇫🇮
❤😊 I like the heifer. Also the other one who looked like blue flipflops.
Love em all, but I think the 2nd last is my favorite 🥰
I like your background music....easy jazz. ❤
I’m glad!
very pretty
3:11 Forbidden Oreos😵💫
Thank you for sharing this amazing video...☺️👍
The one at 5:14 looks like a butterfly!
Tide Water agates is just above my area and the finds are stunning. I'm so glad you cut some local agates. I have tons and try to guess what's inside. Now I have some idea. Thank you Agate Dad and Tidewater
❤
i love the amount of effort and time you put into your videos! always so fun to watch
You never disappoint. There were some absolutely gorgeous blue agates in the batch, they will polish very well. I am also curious what we would see if you were able cut thin slices of the very dark agates, would light from behind show hidden details?
Beautiful ❤
DADA, love it. Another very enjoyable video.👍
So happy that you found some good bands. I was a little nervous at first 😂
I lol-ed at your intro, I agree!!
Thanks for another fun video, you cut some stunning rocks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I am new to your channel. I am addicted to your channel. You make me want to go out and find my own Agate.
When I was a kid I was collecting crystals and stones. A lot of times I bought pretty stuff from vendors that only now I realize were 100% dyed, some even looked the exact same as the one on your DADA sign at the start 😂😂😅
This is so wonderful to see. I live in the PNW and have wanted to see what blue agates look like on the inside.
Some gorgeous agates in there. I'm all for D.A.D.A. I hate dyed agates and geodes.
🙌⚡️💎
It's so interesting how some of those resemble pietersite - very cool!
5:21 looks like a comet. It's a shame the dark rocks were so small; I think they'd be beautiful slabbed, with light behind them. Those were so unique.
Those are sooo pretty
That’s it! I am getting a saw
Do it!
We have blue quartz just east of the Blue Ridge Mtns here in VA. I haven’t cut any yet. I have one in the tumbler. But we have no agates.☹️. I agree, the best was last. Lots of pretty detail!
Very cool!
I think my fav was the one that looked like an oreo
I stick mainly to the OR rivers and those deep, dark blues aren't found that often in the Willamette Valley- I found maybe two! Good runs! Any cabbing plans for them? Blue cabs tend to be rather high priced at shows around here.
Confession time - when I was walking by my pretty / interesting rock bowl, I stopped cold. I think one rock is a blue dyed agate with a quartz layer in the middle - the shame! 😮
Oh no! Lol
Boy I'd love to see you cut open some that I find here in jamaica.
I love hot punk agates 😢 my favorite color ❤️
As a hunter of these agates- that staining on the outside- white, yellow, orange etc, isn’t indicative of the insides. We refer to that crust as limonite or common opal that accumulates on the surface. Seeing those spots is a key identifier for finding them on the beach, as without it they look like every other normal black rock.
I’m in SW Washington. Where can you find these agates?
We usually go to Oregon beaches, when we go to the beach.
@@LauraS_6886hey these agates can be found anywhere on the beach south of Lincoln City, down into Northern California. They’re known locally as “Newport blue” agates.
Thank you!!!
I’ll have to look next time we’re in the area. Newport is a few hours from us.
Might be time to take another Oregon beaches roadtrip!
@@LauraS_6886 no problem. Good luck if you make it down! I recommend waiting til fall, as the summer tides bring in sands that can cover the beach gravels and it can be hit or miss. I went last week- whole beach covered in sand. Went yesterday, all gravel.
Thank you!
I hate the cold, but I guess sometimes you have to suffer, to find beauty! 🤣
If you cut them into slabs you may be able to see more details? Idk just a thought bi know they are a bit small . Very pretty thank for sharing
OMG you scared me at the beginning! hahaha BLUE is my favorite color xoxo
@3:12 I think I saw an OREO agate!
You should join DAFNA - Dads Against Fake Neon Agates. 🤣
Is that the same as dyed?
Like the one at 7:45!
