- And today I am proud to present to you an acoustic version of this Genesis Master piece. This way we can really see how brilliant the composition is.
Did you noticed that, in the Steve Hackett's version of Supper's ready, the end is a tone lower?
I think I figured out why: this way it ends in the same key "Horizons" does. Thanks to that it makes the guitar introduction really part of the song and I am sure this kind of details are very important for Steve, aren't they?

This is amazing, I've never known anyone who has attempted or posted this - a single-voice, single-acoustic guitar cover of Supper's Ready, including Willow Farm and Apocalypse in 9/8, etc. Amazing accomplishment - and also, nice to listen to.

I just discovered this cover by chance recently. It's one of my all time favorites from the 70's. I would have never believed that it could be possible by just guitar & vocal but you have done a superb job -well done!

Just came across this. One of my favorite pieces from back in the 70's. I would have never believed that it could be done with just one guitar but what you have achieved is superb and also the singing - well done!

I love the early Genesis albums with Hackett. I love prog rock, art rock. This song is one of the greatest and your job is the greatest, the best... just love it. I'll try to learn playing it, this will take a lot of time. :)

I see I commented 7 years ago, how great this version this is, and how there's nothing else like it on CZcams. That's still true. However, I don't remember the tutorial overlay - showing the fingering. That's just amazing. Maybe I'm more ready to appreciate it now.
